Recap: Sana gives birth to princess.

**********************

Vikram and Sana were on cloud nine as they gazed at their newborn princess. Vikram and Amudha Amma stayed in the hospital room to care for Sana and the baby. The next day, the media was informed of the princess’s arrival, and wishes poured in for the newborn and the happy couple.

Vikram’s personal assistant arrived at the hospital, congratulating him.

“Congratulations, sir.”

“Thank you,” Vikram replied. “Arrange a lunch party for every employee across the country and prepare a valuable gift for each of them. I want to share my happiness with all my employees. Also, double everyone’s salary.”

“Sure, sir. I’ll get it done.” replied his PA feeling happy for his boss.

“Good. Don’t disturb me with the details. I trust you can handle everything.” Vikram said and he immediately replied in a happy tone, “Yes, sir.”

“You may leave now.” Vikram dismised him.

Meanwhile, Pugazh called Rakshat to inform him about the baby’s birth. Rakshat, busy with a project and traveling across the country, spoke to Sana over a video call and saw his little niece. Overwhelmed with joy, he promised to return for her naming ceremony.

Vikram sat beside the baby, gently touching her tiny fingers. The little one yawned cutely and clutched his finger. His heart swelled with happiness as he captured the moment to cherish forever. Sana, watching him adore their daughter, felt her heart melt.

Two days later, the doctor examined Sana and the baby.

“Sir, both mother and baby are fine. They can go home now. Just follow the prescribed vitals for Sana.” said the doctor and Vikram looked pleased.

“Thank you, doctor.” Said Vikram and looked at doctor who was holding Sana’s hand. “Take care, Sana,” the doctor said with a warm smile.

“Thank you so much.” Sana replied in a chipy tone.

Amudha Mom turned to Vikram. “I’ll leave first. You can bring Sana and the baby home later.”

“Okay, Mom.” vikram said his attention fixed totally on his wife.

“Pugazh, let’s go. Pranitha can accompany Sana.” Amudhaa said he bobed his head.

“Pugazh, call the driver to take you home,” Vikram instructed. “Inform the guards to stay alert.”

“Yes, I’ll handle everything,” Pugazh assured him.

Amma and Pugazh left first. An hour later, Vikram, Sana, the baby, and Pranitha followed. They got into the car, flanked by security guards. Upon reaching home, Amma and Pugazh welcomed them with an aarti plate. As Vikram carried Sana and the baby inside, Amma performed the aarti and invited them in.

Once inside, Vikram held the baby close while everyone gathered in the living room.

“Vikram, take the baby to her room,” Amma said. “Sana needs to rest. And you, my dear, should sleep when the baby sleeps.”

Vikram carried the baby, and Sana followed him into their room.

“Welcome to our room, Mommy and my princess,” Vikram said playfully.

Sana chuckled. “You’re welcome, Daddy.”

As Vikram placed the baby on the bed, she began to cry. Immediately, he picked her up again, and she settled in his arms.

Sana smiled. “Look at Dad’s little princess! She stopped crying the moment you held her.”

“My princess will never cry when she’s with me,” Vikram said proudly.

“Oh? Then who am I to you?” Sana teased.

“You, my dear wifey, are my queen.” Vikram said kissing her cheek.

“Fine,” Sana laughed. “Give her to me. She must be hungry. It’s been a long time since I fed her. But first, I need to change into something comfortable.”

“Don’t worry,” Vikram said, pulling out a neatly folded set of clothes. “I’ve got everything you need right here.”

Sana raised an eyebrow. “And when did you do this?”

“I wanted everything to be ready for my wife.” Vikram winked at her.

Sana changed, then took the baby from Vikram and began to feed her while Vikram went to freshen up.

At night, Amma stayed with Sana to help with the baby. Vikram also took turns assisting them. Pugazh and Pranitha were a great help, making sure Sana and Sara had everything they needed.

Their little princess was an active baby who kept everyone up at night. She was an attention seeker, and the whole family spent nights talking to and coaxing her. Days blurred into nights as they all adjusted to the new rhythm.

A month later, it was time for the naming ceremony. Vikram and Sana chose to keep it private, inviting only close family members. Sana’s father, Rakshat, and Samrat arrived at Vikram’s mansion for the occasion.

Rakshat had already informed Vikram that he would bring the cradle for the baby, and no one objected. When he arrived, he presented a beautiful gold-plated silver cradle for his cutie.

During the pooja, the priest asked for Sana’s brothers. Sana glanced at Rakshat and Pugazh.

“Raksh and Pugazh bro, go ahead.”

Their eyes glistened with tears as they sat beside the baby, holding her. The priest then asked for the baby’s name. Sana and Vikram exchanged a knowing look before Vikram nodded at her to reveal it.

Sana showed the name written on her hand to Rakshat and Pugazh, who then whispered it into the baby’s ear three times.

“Sara,” they whispered gently.

Following tradition, Vikram, Sana, Amma, Sana’s father, and Pranitha also whispered the name into Sara’s ear. Sana then placed her in the cradle and gently swayed it.

Sara, however, began to cry. Without hesitation, Sana started singing:

Aaraaro AariraaroAmbulikku Ner IvaroOh oh oh oh ohThaayaana Thaai IvaroThanga Ratha Ther IvaroOh oh oh oh oh ohMoochuppattaa NogumunnuMoochadakki MuththamittaenNizhalupattaa NogumunnuNilavadanga MuththaamittaenThoongaamani VilakkeThoongama Thoongu KanneAasa Agal VilakkaeAsaiyaamal Thoongu Kanne

Aaraaro Aariraaro
Who is this, resembling the moon?
Oh oh oh oh oh

Who is this, my precious child?
Who is this, like a golden chariot?
Oh oh oh oh oh oh

If even the breath causes pain,
I shall hold it back and kiss you.
If even the shadow causes distress,
I shall block it and shower you with kisses.

Oh precious lamp of sleep,
Sleep without any worries, my dear.
Oh lamp that wards off desires,
Sleep peacefully without any restlessness, my love.

Sara stopped crying, lulled to sleep by her mother’s voice. Vikram stood frozen, mesmerized.

Sana noticed his expression. “What?”

“You are an amazing singer, wifey.” Vikram still amazed on hearing her singing.

“Thank you, hubby.”

“And when will I get to hear my song?” Vikram asked in a husky voice and Sana replied “Very soon, Vikky.”

Every special moment of Sara’s life was captured. Vikram visited the office less frequently, entrusting Pugazh and Pranitha with managing things at home.

Sara became the apple of everyone’s eye. She was especially fond of Pugazh, next to Vikram and Sana. Rakshat also visited often to see her.

Three months passed, and Sara adapted to sleeping at night. She was a calm, happy baby who only cried when she was hungry. In all these joyful moments, Vikram never neglected Sana. He paid close attention to her post-delivery mood swings, always making time to talk to her and express his love.

One day, as Sana walked in the living room with Sara in her arms, Vikram called out.

“Sana!”

“Yes, my dear hubby?”

“Hello, princess,” he cooed, lifting Sara in his arms and kissing her cheeks. Then he pulled Sana close and kissed her cheek too.

“Now tell me, why did you call me?” Sana asked him.

“Hmm… shall we go on a vacation?” Vikram suggested and Sana looked at him puzzled, ” Vacation? Why all of a sudden?”

“It’s been months since we’ve been stuck at home. We need a break, and so does our princess.” Vikram said the need to leave.

“How do you expect us to enjoy a vacation with a baby?”

“Let’s go as a family—Amudha Mom, Pugazh, and Pranitha will come too.” Vikram said and her face lit up.

Sana nodded in agreement. “Yeah, you’re right. It’s been a long time, and they haven’t left home even for a while. They could use a change too.”

Pugazh, sensing something was being planned, raised an eyebrow. “What are you two planning?”

Pranitha folded her arms. “Yeah, what’s going on in secret?”

Vikram smiled. “Shall we all go on a vacation?”

Pugazh’s face lit up instantly. “Wow! I’m already in!”

Pranitha, just as excited, asked, “But where are we going?”

Vikram leaned back, his tone casual yet firm. “An island in Australia. Is that okay?”

Sana and Pranitha exchanged thrilled glances.

“When do we leave?” Sana asked eagerly.

“In four days,” Vikram replied. “I’ll take care of all the arrangements.”

Amudha, who had been listening quietly, hesitated. “Why do you need me at this old age? You four go and enjoy your time.”

Vikram immediately shook his head. “Mom, please. You’re coming with us, and that’s final.”

Sana joined in. “Yes, Mom. Let’s go as a family. It’ll be a lot of fun.”

Amudha sighed, knowing there was no arguing with them. “Fine, whatever you have planned, go ahead with it.”

Vikram wasted no time. He informed his PA to make all necessary arrangements for their departure and stay on the island. He also requested security arrangements, including private guards to accompany them.

As the departure day approached, Sana packed for herself, Vikram, and little Sara. Pranitha helped Pugazh and Amudha with their packing.

Finally, the much-awaited day arrived. Dressed in comfortable casual wear, they all left home in a car and reached the airport.

Vikram’s PA had handled everything efficiently. With all formalities completed, they boarded Vikram’s private jet, ready to enjoy their vacation on Whitsunday Island.
