Chapter 65

Rishi and Aadh had their fingers entwined awaiting to hear the results from the doctor though  the smile on her face was enough to know the results. As soon as the doctor revealed about Aadhi’s pregnacy Rishi couldn’t hold back his excitement. He pulled Aadhi and kissed her forehead and before he could do something the doctor cleared her throat breaking their moment.

Rishi rose to his feet holding Aadhi’s hand to leave already since he could wait to take his love into his embrace but stopped as the doctor called them.

Doctor: I can see you are excited to be out of this place but please make sure she eats healthy food and schedule an appointment for next month check up. I have prescribed vitamins for your wife and we can do some test during your next visit. Congrats to both of you.

Rishi and Aadhi thanked the doctor and as soon as they were out of doctor’s room Rishi hoisted her and twirled her, least worried about the eyes on them. He kissed her abdomen and let her back on her foot slowly.

Rishi: Aadhu, I love you so much..I just couldn’t express my happiness. Lets go home now.

Aadhi smiled and before she could take a step he carried her in bridal style and walked to their car. He lowered her in the passenger gently before he rushed to the driver seat feeling over the moon. Before Aadhi could wear her seatbelt he cupped her face and started kissing her.

Rishi: Thank you so much Aadhu..

Aadhi: I love you Rishu, would you be able to drive or how about we book a cab to return home ?

Rishi: With you beside me I will never miss my concentration, I will be concious to keep you safe Aadhu so buckle up and we are gonna celebrate this day.

Aadhi watched him wear the cooler and drive towards their destination but the smile on his face never dropped even for a second. She leaned over his shoulder and as soon as they reached their home Rishi rushed to her side and carried her back inside their room. He twirled her and carefully laid her on the couch. He knelt on the floor and giving her a wink he pushed up her shirt and peppered kisses over her abdomen.

Feeling his beard poke on her skin Adhi felt ticklish and chuckled holding his hair but he had no idea of stopping and continued showering her and their baby with his kisses.

Rishi: I love you so much baby…

He held her palm and kissed them gently and Aadhi felt his tears. She cupped his face and wiped the tears and pulling him close to her she kissed his eyes.

Rishi: Do you even know what have you done ? I never thought I would be marrying someone let alone being a father but look at me today. You  broke every pieces of my ego and made me a human, you made me fall head over heels for you, everyday you love me like there is no tomorrow and now you have given me the most precious promotion in my life. I will be father, very soon I will be holding our baby in my arms. I will be watching you walk around with a baby bump, I will feel pride to see you and our baby on our bed. God, Aadhu… baby.. I m gonna spoil you and our baby with all my love. My god, I m gonna watch you chase me and our baby.. we shall bath our baby together, I will carry our baby over by shoulder, we shall buy lot of toys for our baby…

Aadhi pulled him and started kissing him to stop his ranting. Rishi balanced his body with his hands and kissed her to the content of his heart. When they pulled apart Aadhi placed her finger on his lips stopping him from starting once again.

Aadhi: Rishu, you will be the best father and ofcourse I m gonna watch you spoil us. I love you… dadddddddyyyyyyyyyy

Rishi: Fucking vixen, you know the right button to push me when you know I couldn’t do anything. It feels like I m high on drug and I want to crush you, bite you, eat you but now lets fill your tummy and later I will leave to buy the vitamins.

Rishi carried her to the kitchen and Aadhi was clinging on to him like a koala with her legs around his waist. Rishi chuckled and kissed her nose before he carefully let her be seated on the island. He was about to pick the vegetables but stopped when Aadhi called him.

Rishi: Tell me what do you want and I will cook for you instantly.

Aadhi: Cook whatever you wish but I will be bored sitting here doing nothing so do something to entertain me until you finish cooking.

Rishi with a smirk discared his shirt and Aadhi bit her lips looking at his perfect sculpted body. He stood before her with his hands on either side of her and winked at her.

Rishi: Do you need something else to keep you busy ?

Aadhi shook her head with a soft smile as Rishi leaned in to place a gentle kiss on her lips before turning toward the kitchen to start cooking. Her gaze lingered on him, captivated by the effortless grace of his movements and the subtle flex of his muscles. Rishi smiled feeling her eyes on his back. 20 minutes later he turned around with a plate of pasta and a glass of fresh juice and placed it next to her.

Rishi: Did I entertain you love ? Give me rating and I would improve my actions the next time you want me to entertain you.

Aadhi beckoned him and Rishi leaned over to her. Aadhi pecked the corner of his lips to tease him and Rishi groaned pulling her into a deep kiss. He picked the plate and started feeding her slowly and let her sip the juice in between. Once they were done they made their way to their room and cuddled on the bed. Rishi was holding her in his embrace and caressing her hair while Aadhi was playing with his chest hair.

Aadhi: Rishu, did you think about revealing the news to our parents ?

Rishu: We shall invite them all for lunch this weekend and reveal it to to everyone at the same time. I don’t want you to travel too much until next checkup so stay home and I will try to work from home too.

Aadhi: Whatttt ? don’t you want me to work until then ?

Rishi: You can work but from home. I will inform Sudhir and he will guide you to work from home and I will work on my schedules to stay with you at home.

Aadhi hummed and fell asleep in a while. Rishi smiled on seeing her sleep peacefully and slowly moved out of the bed without disturbing her sleep. He placed his pillow next to her and covered her with duvet before he walked out picking up his mobile and wallet.

He locked the door and drove to a medical store and bought the vitamins and then he drove to a hyper market and bought her favourite snacks, chocolates and finally he stopped by a bakery and bought all her favourite cakes, brownies and muffins. He returned home and stocked some in the kitchen and some in their bedroom. He looked at Aadhi who was still asleep with her lips parted. He quickly got changed into his track and vest before he joined her in bed.

At Rishi’s office Manjari was deep in thoughts after she heard from Sudhir that Rishi had left home and Aadhi never arrived office. By evening she gathered her things to leave but she completely hated the idea of being at the flat Vimal had chosen for them. She got in the car and drove to beach to cool her mind before she drove home but she was shocked to see Rithvika with few of her friends enjoying.

Rithvika: Hi Manjari, how are you ? Are you here alone ? Mind joining us ?

Manjari: I want to talk to you ….

Rithvika moved away from her friends with Manjari and noticed Manjari fidgetting with her fingers and she was feeling nervous.

Manjar: Congrats … I..I mean, Harish is my best friend.

Rithvika: Manjari I know what you felt for Harish so you can be on point on whatever you have to say.

Manjari: Harish, doesn’t speak to me, he hates me now and I miss him. I won’t disturb you both.  Could you please tell him to talk to me, he is the only person who cared for me.

Rithvika: Sure, I will talk to him Manjari but what happen to your family and most importantly your husband ?

Manjari: I lost hope in all those relationships a long back and I m all alone now. Harish showed me the real care and love and it hurts that he doesn’t want to see me anymore. I was ready to get divorce from my husband but now I forced myself and denied the divorce because I thought Harish would talk to me.

Manjari saw a shadow and raised her head only to be shocked on seeing Hema standing with a stoic expression. She was holding two ice creams which she passed it to Rithvika.

Hema: Rithvi, you carry on and I would like to have a word with her and I will back soon.

Rithvika knew Hema and Manjari shared a close bond of friendship so she couldn’t deny and walked away not before smiling at Manjari. Hema held Manjari’s elbow in a tight grip and grit her teeth which made Manjari gulp in fear.

Hema: How dare you talk to Rithvi ? I don’t want a snake like you to be around any of my family.

Manjari: Hema, please you are hurting me, let me speak.

Hema: Enough of whatever you spoke and whatever you have done to my family. Let Vimal be the only man who lost his life because of a bitch like you.

Manjari: Mind your words Hema,

Hema: I m very well right in my senses and words now. Back then if I had been in my right mind then I would have never been friend to you and I would have never let you around my brother. Actually you are a lucky bitch that my brother is a gentleman and cared for you, he tried to lead you in the right path. Just imagine if he had been a rogue, he would have taken advantage of your situation and your life would have been a hell by now. Your parents and brother were strict with you still they gave you everything, they even got you married to the man you fell in love. Actually you never loved that poor man, you only wanted to escape your home and took advantage of his love for you. You could have saved your baby that day but you killed your baby because you wanted to trap an innocent soul. I was fool and trusted you even after knowing everything you did to Vimal and his family. Go to hell and rot with your sick mind but dare you try to interfere in my brother’s life then I swear to bring you down to streets. Get lost, home wrecker..

Hema gave her a disgusting look and huffed to calm her mind before she joined Rithvika and her friends. Manjari returned to her car and leaned over the steering. She raised her head and was about to start her car but stopped on seeing a familiar car.

Harish and Yuvraj got out of the car and made their way towards Rithvika and Hema. Harish had his hand around Yuvraj’s shoulder and they were laughing out over something Yuvraj cracked. She watched them share a group hug and Harish was holding Rithivika’s hand and he even wiped the ice cream from the corner of her lips with his thumb and licked it which made Rithvi blush and move into his embrace. They looked a family with so much of love and care.

She started her car to return home and all the way she was so lost in thoughts. She arrived home and saw Vimal watching a movie in the hall and she was shocked to see him having drinks.

Manjari: Weren’t you suppose to be at work at this time ? What is with you drinking at home ?

Vimal: My home, my drinks how does it bother you ? Mind your business and fuck off.

Manjari picked the bottle from the teapoy and threw it on the floor which shattered into pieces.

Vimal: How dare you ?

He stepped towards her forgetting he was barefooted and stomped on the shards of bottle. He hissed and groaned in pain as he plopped back on the couch. He looked at his bleeding sole and carefully pulled out the piece. He glared at her, gritting his teeth he kicked the teapoy and called the maid to clean the mess before he limped to his bedroom and shut the door with a bang.

Manjari saw the maid cleaning and made her way to her room. In Vimal’s room he picked the first aid kit and with tears he started aiding his wound. The tiniest bit of hope that was lingering in the corner of his heart shattered when he watched her stand in silence on seeing his bleeding sole.
