Recap: Sid and Grandpa have a banter

Sid returned home carrying a bag of cashew fruit and searched for Yami. He finally found her in the backyard playing hopscotch with Myra and Nivedha.
Myra: Enna mama, sight seeing ah ? ( What brother in law…sight seeing is it ?)
Sid: romba naala adhu mattum dhan ma panren..( I m doing only that for a long time )
Sid spoke in a low voice yet Nive heard and laughed at him. Sid glared at her but she moved to him and stood with her hand on her hip.
Nive: Wise man will try to befriend wife’s sister and friends to get his work done.
Nive blew her nails and looked at Sid raising her eyebrows.
Sid: What will you do ?
Nive: I can do anything.. Let me show you a sample.
Nive cleared her throat and moved to where Yami and Myra were still playing.
Nive: Yamu, can you borrow me your hair dryer, I didn’t get time to pack things for me also lend me your top please. I will go shopping with Vimal to buy some for me.
Yami nodded and ran inside to get things for Nive. Sid smiled and followed her to the room and closed the door behind.
Yami: why are you closing the door now ? Open it, Nive will be coming to collect the top and hair dryer.
Sid: She won’t come. She helped me to get some time with you. Here I got this fruits for you.
Yami got the bag from him and took a bite of the juicy cashew fruit letting the juice drip from her mouth. Sid gulped hardly looking at her eating it.
Sid: I never like this fruit and seriously i don’t know why you like it but looking at the way you eat it ……I m sorry..
Sid pulled her and started kissing her. Yami dropped the bag from her hand and wrapped her hand around his neck responding to his kiss. They were so lost into the kiss and kept switching on their legs which led to stomping the poor fruits.
It felt like a eternity and they pulled back breaking he kiss hearing a knock on the door.
Sid: Oru kiss panna mudiyudha indha veetla ? ( I could not even kiss you in this home ?)
Yami knew she would get caught with her swollen lips so she rushed and locked in the washroom and let Sid to open the door. He spoke all incoherent words and opened the door ready to lash out but looking at his mother and Jaya he stood calm hiding his annoyance.
The two ladies stood shocked and closed their mouth looking at the room. Sid turned his gaze to their line of sight and facepalmed looking at the smashed fruits on the floor that was stomped mercilessly by them.
Madhu: enna da idhu ? ( What is this ?)
Sid: Actually Yami wanted to know how to make wine so I just taught her and no big deal. I will clean it.
Madhu: Mariyadhaiya clean pannu…( You better clean it )
Jaya: Navin called us saying you were not responding his call.
Sid: what happened ?
Jaya: He got some emergency work and wanted you to return to take care of cafe.
Sid: Oh my god…I will pack our things right away. We will leave now.
Madhu: We???? as if you and we all ?
Sid: No..me and Yami…We will leave.
Madhu: But she is staying with us. We will return in a week. Granny and grandpa had missed everyone so it would be bad if we return immediately so let her stay and we will return after a week.
Sid: I cannot stay alone for a week. I m taking her with me. thats final.
Karpagam walked in hearing the commotion and saw Sid arguing with Madhu and Jaya. She got to know the reason and turned to Sid.
Karpagam: Sid pack both of your things. I will speak to amma and appa.
She pulled Madhu and Jaya to her room and glared at them.
Karpagam: Why are you ladies doing this ? Poor boy let him stay with his wife.
Madhu and Jaya laughed at Karpagam and sat on the bed.
Madhu: you thought we were seriously fighting with him. That boy needs some sense. You see now he is truly trying to give a chance to their marriage and we just want to give him some fear only then he will put more efforts to their marriage.
Jaya: you think we haven’t seen the advances in their marriage ? We just can’t wait to see the day he will fall for Yamu.
Karpagam: In that case I have something to tell you… SidalreadyproposedYamuheisalreadyinlovewithher.
Madhu: did you say something now ?
Karpagam: Sid already proposed Yamu he is already in love with her.
Madhu and Jaya looked at each other in shock and again looked at Karpagam who now explained everything. Madhu and Jaya hugged each other like they were still teen girls.
Madhu: This boy how could he hide such thing for so long ?
Jaya: We thought he is terrible actor but he is worth winning oscar. Oh my god finally our love birds are real love birds and that too for so many years… We should go to temple to thank the god for this good news.
Karpagam: Let them go now and start their life. They need privacy for their honeymoon period. Now don’t show your excitement and have control of your emotions.
Madhu: ok ok…we are good actors we will wait for them say this to us. Come on lets send them off.
When they reached the hall they saw Sid waiting impatiently for Yami who was getting ready. He was trying hard to hide his excitement. Yami came down dressed and saw the whole family waiting for her and giving mixed emotions. She was now confused so had a blank face.
Grandpa: Yami, I will miss you..
Sid: Grandpa call her Yamu or the consequences will be bad. I will tell everyone what business you have at the cashew grove.
Grandpa: Ohh go ahead and tell them also better go alone to look after your business. I want to have my grand daughter with me for some days.
Sid Mv: Again he is planning to spoil my plans. I won’t give into it.
He pulled grandpa to the porch and hugged him gritting his teeth.
Sid: I will forgive you for anything and everything but don’t you dare to come between me and Yami or I will not think twice to kidnap you for spoiling my plans.
Grandpa smiled and patted his back.
Grandpa: I will accept on one condition….I want to see my great grandchild.
Sid: Deal..now let us go without any drama…
They came back to the family who were shocked to see the exchange between Sid and grandpa. Sid held Yami’s hand and walked to the car. Nive and Vimal were trying hard to control their laughter.
Sid and Yami bade bye to the whole family and as soon as the car disappeared from their sight everyone bursted out laughing.
Viswa: My son is whipped..
As soon as Sid hit the highways he parked the car and hugged her in excitement.
Sid: I m so happy. finally I will get you all alone for a week . Only you and me..no disturbances.
Yami: Sir, don’t forget we are returning to take care of cafe..
Sid: That is only during day….nights are for us….
He again started driving humming ” Nilavai kondu vaa katilil katti vei megham kondu vaa methai pottu vai “
Yami giggled at his excitement and closed his mouth to stop him from singing further and making her blush. Sid kissed her palm that was covering his mouth. She removed her hand and smacked him on his shoulder.
Sid: Yami, you will be tired so sleep and I will wake you once we reach some restaurant to have dinner.
Yami: No, I will give you company..We can sleep after reaching home.
Sid: Whattt??????????
Yami: What ? don’t be in a hurry. We should go to astrologer with our horoscopes and fix a auspicious day and time. That is how things should happen on a good day and good time.
Sid: Ewwww, when did you become a old school ?
Yami bit her cheeks to control her laughter and continued to pull his legs.
Yami: Sid, be serious. What if something goes wrong ? No, atleast I will check for a good day from our calender. Also we need to buy lot of flowers, fruits, candles…I want perfect setup like the ones from movies.
Sid: Why do you watch tamil movies, you should have watched hollywood…every place and every time auspicious. Just two people’s presence is all required and everything happens with the flow.
Yami: but I m typical tamil girl..very homely…emotional…
Sid wrapped his arm around her neck and tried to crush her. Yami chuckled and pulled back smiling at his sulken face.
Yami: Come on dear husband I was just teasing you. Did you think I will keep you waiting and I don’t have emotions ? pasanga mattum illa ponnungalukkum same feelings irukkum solla pona adhigama irukkum. (Not only boys even girls have same feelings and even more than them.)
Sid: How do I believe you ? Only I have been initiating things recently and nothing has happened from your side.
She leaned and licked his earlobe gently which made red coat his ears and neck. They entwined their fingers and drove with high dreams of a new begining.
