Chapter 17

Recap: Reyansh take Vaishu to his mother’s pooja room and later they celebrate their birthday.

Vaishu smeared the cake on Mithun and Reyansh’s face and they were completely lost in laughing at each other. They were interrupted by a shrill scream “babyyyyyyyyyyy” and Mithun and Reyansh’s eyes grew wide as saucers hearing the voice.

All three turned to the voice and saw Lavanya with few other girls in a revealing dress holding bottles in their hand. Lavanya ran to Reyansh and hugged him throwing her hands around his neck.

Lavanya: Happy birthday baby…I just thought of leaving this drinks here as your birthday gift but never expected you would have returned from your business trip. I m so happy and lets celebrate.

Reyansh tried to remove her hands gritting his teeth and his eyes never leaving Vaishu who was looking away from them. The other girls kissed his cheek wishing for his birthday and Mithun cursed them and mostly Reyansh.

Vaishu wiped her hands with the tissue paper and left the place quietly with Ishaan and Ishika. Reyansh’s heart broke at her disappearing figure and finally pushed Lavanya and the other girls from him

Reyansh: We are not doing any party today. Didn’t I tell you that you are not welcome here ? Now leave with your friends before I call the security.

Without waiting for her reply he rushed to his room to clean of the cake from his face. He stood before the huge mirror in the washroom and slapped himself after cleaning his face.

Reyansh: What an amazing day and you had to spoil everything. Only if you had your dick in your pants then nothing would have happened. After so much efforts she let her guards down and started to feel comfortable and now everything will go to square one. Fuckard you don’t deserve anything good in your life. How will I face her now ?

He returned to the living and saw Lavanya and her friends still present and enjoying the drinks and dancing to the loud music. Mithun was nowhere to be found. He walked towards the music system to stop it but Lavanya pulled him to dance grinding her hips against his but Reyansh immediately backed off but it was too late as he saw Vaishu placing a tray of snacks on the table and leaving without sparing a look at him.

At the moment all his thoughts were on Vaishu and he pushed Lavanya following Vaishu to the kitchen and raked his fingers through his hair. He cleared his throat to get her attention but Vaishu didn’t look at him.

Reyansh: Vaishu, I m sorry.. I didn’t know she would come here. I told her to leave immediately but she has started drinking on her own. I swear, I didn’t want any of these parties. I never lied to you when I said I was not interested any of those women and I swear that I have not touched anyone after you came in my life. Please trust me Vaishu.

Vaishu: This is your home and your birthday. You don’t have to say sorry to me or stop yourself from doing anything just because of me or my babies. I really don’t mind so please go enjoy your day.

Reyansh Mv: my babies ? Aren’t they my muffins too ?

Vaishu blinked to stop the tears and felt her throat aching in pain as she gulped to control the sob.

Vaishu Mv: Why am I crying and feeling so much pain now ? I have never felt so much hurt even when I saw that animal with another woman in my own home but why does it hurt now ? I shouldn’t be hurt.

She didn’t speak a word and continued doing her work hiding her tears. Her body was barely under her control and started shivering, sweats formed on her forehead with various thoughts running in her mind. A few minutes later Reyansh stormed to the living and threw a bottle on the floor startling everyone.

Lavanya: Rey, what happened  ?

Reyansh: STOP ALL THESE NONSENSE AND GET OUT OF HERE NOW.

Lavanya: baby..

Reyansh: SHUT UP..I M NOT YOUR BABY. JUST GET OUT AND I DON’T WANT TO SEE YOU EVER AGAIN. DID YOU HEAR ? DON’T EVER SHOW YOUR FACE. OUT NOW OR I WONT THINK TWICE TO BREAK A BOTTLE ON YOUR HEAD.. Manager…. Security….

Manager: Sir..

Security head: Sir

Reyansh: throw them out and I want this place clean and sanitized the next instant.

Manager/Security head: Sure sir.

Lavanya and her friends left from there and Reyansh saw Vaishu entering her room. He ambled to her room and saw her sitting on the bed watching Mithun play with the Ishaan and Ishika.

Reyansh: Mithun out now..

Mithun saw Reyansh’s face and knew he was not in control. He didn’t want him to do anything that he would regret so he did not move from his place.

Mithun: Rey, your mind is not in control so calm down so go to your room. Ishu babies are here and don’t scare them.

Reyansh looked at Vaishu who was still not looking at him and her damp eyelashes didn’t miss his eyes. He glanced at the babies and left the room towards the kitchen knowing she would come over there. He waited for an hour and finally Vaishu entered the kitchen to fill water in the bottle.

On seeing him she passed a gentle smile hiding her trembling inner self and what she was going through. She filled water in the bottle and Reyansh stood behind her.

Reyansh: Vaishu, I m really sorry. I threw them all out and even told her not to come ever again to meet me anywhere.

Vaishu: You don’t have to be sorry to me.

Vaishu tried to leave but he placed his hands on either side caging her.

Vaishu: Please let me go…

Her past flashed through her memories and her body started trembling even more. The bottle slipped from her hand because of shivering, Sweats formed on her forehead and her breath laboured. He couldn’t see her state since her back was facing him.

Reyansh: Vaishu, please look at me. I m not the same Reyansh anymore. I love this life after you and muffins made your entry. Didn’t you say that a person shouldn’t be judged by their past ? Please don’t avoid me Vaishu. I will keep saying as many times sorry for being the reason that you shed tears today. I m sorry Vaishu I m sorry please look at me once.

He held her shoulder and turned her slowly only to hold her unconscious form in his arms.

Reyansh: Vaishu.. Vaishu enna achu .. Vaishu kanna thora.. Vaishu.. ( Vaishu.. Vaishu.. what happened ? Vaishu open your eyes )

He patted her cheeks but when she didn’t wake up he carried her in bridal style to her room and Mithun lost his cool.

Mithun: what the hell ? What did you do Rey ?

Rey: I did nothing and didn’t know how and why she fainted so shut the fuck up and get some water first.

He laid her on the bed and Mithun sprinkled water on her face. Vaishu slowly opened her eyes and tears rolled down her cheeks.

Reyansh felt guilty for putting her in such a state and couldn’t see those eyes shedding tears of being hurt.

Reyansh: I m sorry. Take rest and I will have muffins with me.

He took Ishaan and Ishika with him and left to his room. Mithun didn’t know exactly what happened so he too decided to leave but stopped at the threshold of the room.

Mithun: Vaishu, Rey is not a bad person. He has changed completely and is not the same Reyansh anymore. Don’t hate him or ignore him. I can’t see him going back to his old life running behind money, business and living like a playboy. This Reyansh is whom I wanted to see for a long time, he is the one whom his mother would have wanted him to be. Please help him Vaishu.

Mithun left from there and entering Reyansh’s room he saw him on the bed hugging Ishaan and Ishika. The babies were tilting their head and trying to touch Reyansh’s face with their hands.

Mithun: Rey..

Reyansh: Mithun, I swear I did nothing. I just wanted to talk to her but I stood close to her in her personal space.

Mithun sat on the couch and thought how good their day started and why Lavanya had to show up and spoil everything

Mithun Mv:  ? Why can’t Reyansh and Vaishu have some happiness in their life ? God, please give them the peace and love they deserve.

Reyansh caressed the babies and altogether they slept feeling the comfort from each other. Vaishu was sitting with her knees pulled to her chest and crying thinking of everything. She remembered Mithun’s words and felt guilty that Reyansh was hurt because of her.

Vaishu: This is his home and he can live however he wants but he respected my presence and sent them all away. He has changed completely and came to apologize to me but I fainted and he thought it happened because of him. How will I tell him the reason I fainted ? Atleast if I had not entered his life he would have been happy in his own way but now with me and Ishu and Ishi he has changed and I m only hurting him. Wish he gets someone in his life and she will give him all the love he deserves. None of us had lunch too. Better I will all his favourite food for dinner.

She wiped her tears and entered the kitchen. Next 2 hours she prepared all his favourite food and set the table decorating it with flowers from the garden. She entered his room and saw all the 4 asleep.

Vaishu: Reyansh…

Reyansh thought he was dreaming and continued to sleep but when she called him a little louder he woke up rubbing his eyes. On seeing her he sat with his legs down. The top two buttons of his shirt were open and Vaishu averted her eyes on looking at his naked chest as her ears turned red.

Reyansh: I m sorry.

Vaishu: How many sorry will you keep saying ? Refresh and come down for dinner. I will take Ishaan and Ishika with me.

She then woke up Mithun and left from there with Ishu babies. She fed them milk and laid them in the crib in the dining. Reyansh and Mithun reached the dining and saw the table filled with dishes and flowers placed all around.

Vaishu: I thought of cooking special lunch for your birthday but I spoiled your day so please forgive me. I m sorry.

She caught her ears saying sorry and Reyansh smiled at her shaking his head.

Reyansh: You don’t need to say sorry Vaishu. If someone has to be sorry then its me. Please forgive me. Now I m really hungry after smelling the aroma of the dishes.

She was about to serve him but he stopped her and pulled a chair for her and called the maids to serve them.

Mithun: This briyani has all my heart.

Reyansh really enjoyed the food and once they were done Mithun took the babies with him to living to play for sometime as they had slept already and would be awake for a long time.

Vaishu was taking a walk in the garden when Reyansh came with two cups of hot chocolate. He gave a cup to her and joined her walking.

Reyansh: I m sorry Vaishu.

Vaishu: Don’t be please. It wasn’t your fault. I will not judge you Reyansh.

Reyansh: You fainted because of me. I shouldn’t have invaded your personal space.

Vaishu: I didn’t faint because of you. I saw those girls forcing you and you were trying to get out of their hold. My past flashed before me and I saw myself in that situation.

They both stopped walking and Reyansh looked at her with a frown waiting for her to continue.

Vaishu: This was the same day.. a year back he….

She couldn’t speak further and tears formed in her eyes. Reyansh took the cup from her hand and placed it on the teapoy. He took hold of her hands in his and gave a squeeze assuring her to be strong.

Vaishu: He took my innocence on this night last year..
