Life is beautiful not beacuse o the things we do or the things we see but because of the people around us.
Raghav and Malini were one precious couple who had only people who gave love to them and god blessed them in every way with his extra settings. The familly celebrated Malini’s baby shower and soon after that Malini gave birth to twins a boy and a girl.
They named the boy child as Aditya and girl as Tara. They were a complete family and life was not less than a rainbow. Raghav became a very active business person with all his knowledge and experience. Their parents helped them to nurture their babies.
A year later Ajay and Priya gave birth to a boy baby. Krithi and Sarath moved to their native place but were in touch with Raghav and Malini and also met on special occasions.
3 years later:
Devika, Sujatha and Malini were sitting in the garden having tea and snacks. Malini was pregnant for the second time and in her third trimester.
Devika: Malu pasanga enna innum varala? ( Malu why haven’t the kids returned yet )
Malini: Maa varuvanga maa. Raghav call pannaru pick up pannitu. ( Maa, they will be back. Raghav called me after picking up them )
Meanwhile Raghav was standing with a grumpy face on the road while his little prince and princess were giggling munching the pani poori.
Adi: Appa Why are you so grumpy ?
Tara: Yes appa why do you show faces?
Raghav: How many times do I have to tell you these are not hygienic?
Adi: Not again daddy. Please let me finish.
Tara: Yes daddy. We love pani poori.
Raghav: Ellam unga amma va sollanum. Pregnant ah irukkum podhu healthy ah sapda sonna kettala, verum norukku theeniya sapta apram neenga eppadi irupinga. ( I should blame your mother. She never listened to me when I said her to eat hygienic food when she was pregnant. Instead she ate only junk foods then how will you both be ?)
Adi: amma va thitadha pa. ( don’t scold mom appa )
Raghav: Odane vada support ku. Nalladhukku dhane solren. Tara papa neeyachum appa solradha kelu da. ( come for her support immediately. I m telling you for your good. Tara baby atleast you listen to me )
Tara: ok pa. Only today
Raghav: And what did you say day before yesterday to driver uncle?
Tara: that I said to driver uncle but now I m telling you.
Raghav’s mobile rang and he saw the caller id and a smile crept on his face.
Adi: Appa, amma dhane call panranga? ( amma is calling right ?)
Raghav: eppadi solra? (how do you say ?)
Adi: Adhu unga face la smile paathale theriyudhu. ( we can say that from the smile on your face)
Raghav: Vaalu ( naughty ), finish it fast.
He picked the call and spoke to his love.
Raghav: Sollu ma ( tell me dear )
Malini: Raghav enakku pani poori sapdanum pola irukku vaangitu variya? ( Raghav I m craving for pani puri will you buy me ?)
Raghav: Adiye already 3 pera vechi samalikkuren ippo vara pullayachum nalla healthy food sapdatum. ( woman, I m already handling 3 atleast the yet to be born baby eat healthy food )
Malini: Vaangitu vaa pa please. ( buy me please )
Raghav: Mudiyadhu. Fruits vaangitu varen ( no, I will buy fruits)
Malini: Vendam pani poori dhan venum nee vangala apram night unna room la sekka matten. (no, I want only pani puri if you are not buying then I will not let you in room tonight )
Raghav Mv: Weak point laye adikkura paaru. ( she is hitting at the weak point )
Raghav: Seri vaangitu varen. (ok I will buy )
Malini: Idha first eh solli irukalam la Mr. husband ( you could have said this first time )
Raghav: Enna panradhu pondati neenga ippadi black mail pannuvinga nu yosikala. ( What should I do ? I never thought you will blackmail me )
Malini: ok ok come fast
Raghav asked the man to pack 2 sets of pani poori while little ones were laughing at his father.
Raghav carried both of them in each arm and settled them in the car and drove to home. Devika and Sujatha took the children to refresh and Raghav carried Malini to their room.
Malini: Raghav where is pani poori ?
Raghav: Adhellam irukku. First nee enna black mail panna l so adhukku punishment apram dhan tharuven. )(That is with me and I will you later but first I need to punish you for blackmailing me )
Malini: enna punishment? ( What punishment ?)
Raghav: Onnum illa vandhu enna katti pudichu “mama I love you ” solli oru kiss kudu podhum. ( nothing just hug me and tell me ” Mama I love you and then kiss me )
Malini: Adhellam mudiyadhu ( No, I won’t )
Raghav: appo nanum thara matten ( then I won;t give you)
Malini: pasanga dress change pannitu varuvanga. ( kids will be back after changing )
Raghav: vara mattanga. Varum podhe plan pottutu dhan vandhen. Avanga inneram ready aagi pakkathu la irukka park poi irupanga. ( they won’t come. I made plans before coming home. They would have got ready and gone to the park by now )
Malini: Eppo than da stop pannuve? ( when will you stop ?)
Raghav: Not until my last breathe.
Malini: Ippo appadi dhan solluve but indha baby porandha apram naa azhaga illam poiduven appo enna seive? ( Now you will tell that but after this baby is born I won’t be beautiful anymore. What will you do then ?)
Raghav: You said the same when you were pregnant with Adi and Tara but nothing changed and will not change until I breathe my last.
Malini: I love you
Raghav: nee epadi lam topic change pannuve theriyum olunga punishment pannu di. ( i know how you will change the topic )
Malini: Kandu pudichitiya? ( you found ?)
Raghav: Idhukku CBI la irundhu varuvangala. Ivlo varushama unkooda irukken idhu theriyadhu paaru. Neeya kudutha chinna punishment naa start panna enga poi mudiyum theriyadhu solliten.
(CBI won’t be here to find that. After so many years won’t I find that. If you give on your own the punishment will be minor or if I start myself then I don’t know where the punishment will lead to)
Malini: Vena vena nane tharen. ( no no I will give myself )
Malini hugged him with her arms around his neck and looked shyly into his eyes. He hugged her back.
Malini: Mama I love you.
She tiptoed and pecked his lips slowly. He took lead and kissed her passionately while their fingers raked through the hair. Malini hit his chest to break the kiss when she ran out of air. Raghav chuckled and hugged her to his chest and kissed her temple.
Raghav: your feets are starting to swell come I will take you for walk.
Malini: Massage please.
Raghav: Adhu night thoongum podhu now you need to walk its good for health. Neraya stories padichi kettu pora nee. Olunga nadakkanum pregnant time la summa massage panna eppadi healthy ah iruppe?
( That we will do at night before you sleep now you need to walk its good for health. You are being spoilt reading stories. You should during pregnancy. Just massaging will not help being healthy.
Malini: shut up. Lets go for Walk.
Raghav and Malini walked in the garden for sometime and when their kids returned from the park they spend some time with them listening to all their day’s out.
Raghav worked from home as Malini was due in few days. Raghav, Adi and Tara speak to the baby in Malini’s womb before they go to sleep. Malini stayed awake due to uncomfort and continuous kicks of the baby.
Malini: Thoongave mudiyala pa. ( I can’t sleep )
Raghav: Nee dhane late night thoongura habit practice panne. Naana unna K drama paakka sonnen. Adhan papavum unna mathiriye irukku. Oru pullayachum enna mathiri nalla habits irukka paaru.
(You got the habit of sleeping late night.did I ever told you to watch K drama ? Baby is also like you. Not one baby is like me )
Malini: Nee enna military ka aal edukura ellam punctual seiya. Kozhandhainga na appadi dhan irukkum. Yen unakku enna pudikalaya? ( Are you choosing people for military to do everything punctually ? they are babies and they will be like that. You don’t like them being like that ?)
Raghav: Unna poi pudikama irukkuma di en azhagu pondati. ( How will I not like you my beautiful wifey ?)
He hugged her from behind as her grown belly didn’t let him hug from front.
Raghav caressed her hair and massaged her legs and Malini slept when it was dawn already. Next day was sunday, Malini woke up when her stomach started to growl in hunger. she saw Raghav was missing from her side. She refreshed and came to the kitchen and saw Adi, tara on the kitchen counter and Raghav was preparing dosa for them narrating a story. Both were happily munching breakfast listening to the story from Raghav that they didn’t notice thhat Raghav made dosa from millet four instead of the usual rice batter. Raghav saw Malini leaning on the kitchen wall and raised his eyebrow and winked at her.
Adi and Tara finished eating and ran to watch cartoon.
Malini: Eppadi sapda veche? ( how did you make them eat ?)
Raghav took a plate of dosa and chutney and moved near Malini and looked intensely in her eyes and blew hot air on her cheeks. Malini cheeks flushed pink and stood lost in his eyes. Raghav took a piece of dosa and fed her and she finished the plate just like she was under his spell.
Raghav: Unna eppadi handle pannanum theriyum podhu namma pasangala eppadi pannanum nu theriyadha? ( If I know how to handle you, will I not know how to handle our kids ?)
He pecked her lips and moved to wash his hands. Malini stood processing what happened and then moved to him and pinched his arm.
Malini: nalla vasiyam panra enna. ( you are hypnotising me well )
Raghav: Adhukku peru vasiyam illa di love. ( this is love not hypnotising )
Evening they were watching a cartoon movie with Adi and Tara. Malini felt pain in her abdomen and Raghav saw her discomfort. Devika stayed with kids and Raghav , sujatha took Malini to the hospital. Malini was admitted and since her first delivery was a C-section the doctors arranged for a C- section this time too considering her medical conditions. Raghav waited outside praying for his wife and soon to be born child. He rushed seeing the docor coming out of the Operation theatre.
Raghav: Doctor?
Doctor: Congrats you are blessed with a girl baby. Both are fine.
Malini and baby were shifted to the ward and Raghav went to her. Malini was asleep. He kissed her forehead and saw their baby girl was sleeping in the crib. He took her in his arms and kissed her forhead and tiny fingers.
Raghav: I will love and protect you forever. Its your appa’s promise princess.
14 days later:
Their home was decorated for the naming ceremony of their new arrived princess. Raghav made exact decoration as he did for Adi and Tara. Everyone was ready and Adi and Tara was sitting next to their sister and playing with her tiny fingers while their grandparents were adoring them.
Raghav got ready in blue shirt and veshti and saw Malini yet to come out of the wash room. He knocked on the door and waited for her to come out. When Malini came she was unsually dull and her face showed no emotions of being happy. Raghav cupped her face and kiised her forehead.
Raghav: Enna achu ma? ( what happened ?)
Malini remind silent except for a lone tear from the corner of her eyes. He kissed the tears and hugged her.
Raghav: Malini, you know right I hate see you crying. Please tell me what happened ?
Malini: Raghav my body is not like before. I don’t like it. Will you like me ? There are so many marks and scars.
Raghav pulled from the hug and looked at her. He walked away from her and she sobbed loudly but Raghav locked the door and came back to her and carried her to the bed and laid her. He removed her robe caressed her abdomen softly and his eyes locked with her.
Raghav: Malini these are not marks or scars they are symbols of our love that you brought into this world to us for us. Those marks remind us of our beautiful days when you carried our children in your womb. I will not be a human if I feel disgusted for these love symbols. I can never hate you in this life or any of my life. you are my everything and I will love you the same even when we grow old and we have our grandchild.
Raghav kissed the scar on her abdomen. Malini pulled him and kissed him.
Raghav: Seri get ready ellarum wait pannuvanga. ( get ready everyone will be waiting )
Malini got ready in the beautiful peacock blue silk saree and they both walked down to the living. The priest started the pooja and Sanjay took the baby in his lap. Raghav wrote the name in his palm and Sanjay called the baby thrice with her name Navi. Raghav and Malini called the name in their baby’s ear slowly. The whole family stood for a family photo with Ajay, Priya and their son Vinay and daughter Meera, Raghav and Malini with Adi, Tara and Navi. Sanjay with his wife and only son, Prakash with his wife and two daughters, Bala with wife and a daughter everybody took photo to mark the special day.
The photographer took Raghav , Malini along with their children to the garden. Raghav and Malini sat on the grass holding Navi in their centre and Adi sat on Raghav’s lap and Tara sat on Malini’s lap. That was a perfect picture clicked when Raghav kissed Malini right at the moment.
