Chapter 24

Recap: Reyansh and Vaishu visit his store and she select jewels for the finance minister’s daughter. Later Reyansh gift her diamond jewel to remember their first time going out and her visit to the branch.

Vaishu woke up and saw Ishaan and Ishika missing by her side and were not even in the crib. She tied her hair into a bun and walked out of the room and saw the servants were running on their heels with the commands from Mithun. She stood leaning on the wall and mumbled a good morning which made him smile at her.

Vaishu: what is happening so early in the morning ?

Mithun: Arrangements to welcome the minister with his family.

Vaishu: Where is Reyansh and Ishu babies ?

Mithun: Ohh that dumb head came early and took Ishu babies with him to his room so that they won’t be disturbed from their sleep from the noises.

Vaishu: I will get ready and help you after checking on Ishu and Ishi.

Mithun: No, today you don’t have to do any work. Just get ready and go check on the babies. Chef is on rest for a long time after you came here so let him work today.

Vaishu smiled and got back to get ready. Reyansh was getting ready standing before the mirror when he saw Ishaan wiggling his hands and legs and babbling looking at Reyansh’s back.

Reyansh: My prince by doing this you will wake up my princess. I just laid you on the bed to comb my hair and wear a shirt. I don’t want your mother to think that I purposely didn’t wear a shirt knowing very well she would be here to check on you both.

He wore his shirt and bent to Ishaan to kiss him but Ishaan caught Reyansh’s hair and his tiny foot started kicking on his chest. Reyansh laughed loud enjoying his kicks and Ishika was wide awake and started crying. Before he could get off from Ishaan’s hold he saw Vaishu carrying Ishika in her arms.

Vaishu: Are the boys having fun leaving you alone Ishi ? Don’t worry lets ignore them and play.

Reyansh: Oh hello madam we are three musketeers and we don’t ignore each other. Give her to me now, she wants my attention and only my kiss can stop her crying even though she is hungry.

Reyansh took Ishika from Vaishu and placed a kiss on her cheeks looking at her wobbling lips.

Reyansh: Don’t cry Reyansh ki jaan…( Reyansh’s love ) Should I get the stars or the moon for you to play ?

Ishika stopped crying but it was Vaishu who was crying now looking at his love for her babies.

Vaishu Mv: How could you love them so much when their own father has abandoned them ? Even if he had not abandoned them I not sure if he would have loved them so much like you do. You amaze me Ansh… Making it very hard for me to not fall for you..

Reyansh: Stay in this room with Ishu and Ishi and take care of them until the works are completed downstairs.

Vaishu: why? I will have them with me in my room.

Reyansh: Avi, why don’t you listen to anything I say ? There are too many people working and the sounds may annoy them. I will be in the study only so don’t worry that I will trouble you.

He left the room closing the door and stumbled into Mithun.

Mithun: Tell me honestly did you guys get married without my knowledge ?

Reyansh: As if she will make it easier. still why do you ask ?

Mithun: From the way you speak and behave to her it looks like you are her husband and I don’t see her denying anything you say. So whats going on ?

Reyansh: Idiot, if we are parents to two cute and adorable babies then it is understood we are husband and wife. I don’t know when will you grow up to understand things.

Mithun: Are you sure only two babies or more on the way ?

Reyansh: Ofcourse there will be more but let muffins turn one or two years before we grow the family.

Mithun caught his chest and gasped at his words. Reyansh walked away with Mithun following him.

Mithun: I received the guest list and do you who is the groom and who else are accompanying the minister ?

Reyansh: Tell me and I will know

Mithun: Lavanya’s brother…

Reyansh stopped and looked at Mithun with an irritation in his face.

Mithun: Finance minister’s daughter fell in love with him when he accompanied his father to some party hosted by the department. He and his sister, I mean Lavanya are in guest list.

Reyansh: This is fucking annoying. Call Lavanya and tell her that she should arrive here only as a guest and nothing else. No dramas.

Mithun: As if she will listen to my words..I will try..

By evening the entire living was decorated with flowers and the dining was set with silverware completely. Best dishes were made by the chef and set to serve the guest. Reyansh was dressed in a three piece suit and sprayed perfume looking at him in the mirror.

He reached downstairs and entered Vaishu’s room directly. Ishaan and Ishika were dressed up in a twinning onesie and asleep in the crib. Vaishu was standing before the mirror dressed in lavender saree with ruffles in the border matching with a designer blouse. Her hair was set loose to one side and curled up a little. The stylist who was called by Reyansh to get her ready was applying lips stick and Reyansh looked at Vaishu like he would gobble her up.

He cleared up his throat and the stylist left the room.

Vaishu: What was the necessary to call the stylist ? These are all new to me Ansh. I look very odd and trust me looking at the mirror I doubt if this is me.

Reyansh: You are stunning and gorgeous. Your chubbiness just gives me all the dirty thoughts to eat you completely but I m being good and holding myself until you say a yes.

Vaishu looked anywhere but him and he chuckled at her. He stood behind her and Vaishu felt something cold on her neck. She saw him clasping a chain with a red stone droplet in it.

Vaishu: Tell me this is silver and not platinum ?

Reyansh: Does anything change based on what noble metal it is made ?

Vaishu: I could have wore it on my own too.

Reyansh: Won’t it stay on your neck if I did that ?

Vaishu huffed and shook her head. Reyansh kissed her cheek and she rolled her eyes.

Reyansh: Roll your eyes again then next time I will not kiss your cheeks or forehead and don’t blame me for the place I will choose.

Vaishu: Go check if you have to look after something before the guest are here.

Reyansh bowed and walked away but Vaishu stopped him. Reyansh cocked his eyebrows asking her what.

Vaishu: What will you say the guest when they question about me … about the babies ?

Reyansh: what should I say ?

Vaishu: What is with you now giving questions in reply for my questions ?

Reyansh: They won’t question about you. Happy..

Vaishu nodded her head and he left from there. News were all over about the minister’s arrival at chennai and his meeting with Reyansh Badrinath. Reporters were stopped at a distance in the porch to cover the minister’s family and Reyansh.

Exactly at 6 the cars lined up and the guards opened the door for the minister and his family. Reyansh and Mithun hugged the minister and stood before the media to click pictures together. Reyansh gestured his head security to clear of the media and the guest were taken inside.

Vaishu’s body was trembling as she saw the guest entering inside and Lavanya was also among them. She put a smile and folded her hands to greet them all. Reyansh knew Vaishu would not be comfortable so he quickly walked to her and wrapped his hand around her waist. He gestured Asha to get the babies and she immediately got them to him.

Minister who was about to ask about Vaishu stopped after Reyansh’s gesture. Lavanya who stood beside the minister’s daughter was shocked to see him holding Vaishu’s waist. She then remembered Mithun’s words and remained silent.

Reyansh: Meet my family, Vaishnavi and our adorable little ones Ishaan and Ishika and he is Mithun whom you know already.

Vaishu was completely under shock when he introduced her as family. Lavanya’s mouth hung hearing his words.

Minister: She is my wife and this is my only daughter Kajal and my soon to be in son in law, Nikhil, his sister Lavanya.

Reyansh welcomed them to be seated in the living and refreshments were served to them.

Reyansh: Congratulations on your wedding Ms. Kajal.

Vaishu and Mithun too wished Kajal.

Reyansh: Vaishu, get the gifts you got for Ms. Kajal.

Mithun and Asha smiled with content on his way of showing Vaishu’s place in his life and home. Vaishu was dumbstruck from the way he was treating her. She left to her room and few minutes later she returned with the two set of bridal jewellery and placed it before Kajal.

Reyansh: Vaishu has selected these jewel sets for you and you can choose whatever you like.

Unlike he expected Kajal to be a brat she turned to be very polite girl and chose only a choker and earrings and denied the rest.

Vaishu: The entire set will go good with those choker and earring so have them along.

Reyansh smiled at Vaishu and looked at the space next to him and Vaishu sat leaving some space between them.

Nikil: Kajal, don’t hurt them by rejecting their gifts. Accept it or even take the whole of it and they won’t mind.

Mithun gritted his teeth cursing him for having such a polite and beautiful girl like Kajal in his life.

Mithun Mv: Ivan moonjikellam ippadi oru ponna ? ( Such a girl for his face ? )

Kajal smiled but still refused to accept anymore as gift. Later they had food and Reyansh informed Vaishu to take care of the guest and left to his study with the minister.

Once Reyansh was out of sight Nikhil was eye raping Vaishu and his eyes caught her every movements.

Minister’s wife : Lavanya, you said about dating Mr. Reyansh but he has a family already ?

Mithun: There are lot of girls who wanted to be Rey’s girlfriend and there are few creating rumours of being his girlfriend. Rey is not a person who will fall for any random girl just like that. She will be very special to him that he won’t hesitate to give his everything to her.

He took a drink in his hand and sat next to Vaishu. He took a sip of the drink and choked on it suddenly.

Mithun: Vaishu, Rey gave this pendant to you ?

Vaishu: hmm, he gave me this evening. Any problem ?

Mithun: My god, this is the rarest piece of red diamond in the world and Rey is one of the few in the world who owns this. This cost at least half of our store in a branch of ours. Purest diamond from his collection and he has not let anyone to even look at it so far. It looks good on you Vaishu.

Lavanya and Nikhil looked at the red droplet on Vaishu’s neck with pure jealousy. Nikhil’s mobile rang and with an excuse to answer it he left from there. On finishing his call he was looking around the interiors and happened to enter Vaishu’s room. On seeing Ishaan and Ishika he smirked and pinched Ishaan’s cheek who gave a high pitched cry.

 Vaishu excused to look after the baby and as soon as she entered the room Nikhil closed the door and hugged her.

Vaishu: Hey leave me…

Nikil: Don’t worry.  Nobody will know and we could finish a real quick one. Just a few minutes you take care of your baby and I will finish my job.

Ishaan was still crying and she ran away from him to look at him but he again hugged her roaming his hand all over her body. Her body started trembling to the worst yet she tried to get out of his hold. The only person she could think of was Reyansh and she badly wanted his presence at the moment to be his saviour.

Her panic started to kick in with the touch from him and sweats formed on her face as her breath laboured. Her eyes rolled back and she could only mumble one name that rose from the depth of her heart.

Vaishu : Ansh…
