15 years Later:
Reyansh drove his car to his manor and saw Vaishu’s office swarmed with people more than usual. He entered the living and saw his children biting of their nails looking at the stairs. On seeing him Ayaan rushed to him and Reyansh ruffled his hair.
Reyansh: Whats happening cup cake ?
Ayaan: Dad, please not that name again. Please.
Reyansh: Let me remind you that I still call your brother and sister as muffin and they don’t have a problem with that so what made you think that I will change when you wanted me to call your name instead of cupcake ?
Ayaan: that is because I m handsome more than Ishu bro. Girls will make a fun of me when they get to know that you call me cupcake.
Reyansh: Oh, sure it is a problem then. How about we introduce you a new name ? Also the last I knew I made you clear to call me appa rather than dad.
Ayaan: thank the god dad, please I will be more than happy or how about you call me just Ayaan and dad sounds good.
Reyansh: Ofcourse sounds good but I love when my children call me appa. Everytime you call me that my heart skips a beat just like when your mother calls me Ansh.
Ishaan: Appa, please
Reyansh: We shall call for a family meeting to discuss this but now let me know what is happening and what has got your brother and sisters glued to the stairs ? Where is my darling wife ?
Ishaan: Your darling wife stormed out of her home office and locked herself in the room.
Reyansh: Why didn’t you go after her or call me ?
Reyansh didn’t wait for their reply and skipped few stairs to reach the room. He opened it with the passcode and saw Vaishu munching on a chocolate and watching web series. Reyansh stood with hands on his hip and looked at her and the scattered empty covers of the snacks on the floor.
Reyansh: Avi, our children are worried that you locked up in the room but here you are having chat time alone ? Not fair woman.
Vaishu chuckled and he called Ishaan and informed that Vaishu was good and to carry on with their works. He sat next to her and laid his head on her lap closing his eyes. Vaishu stuffed a piece of chocolate into his mouth and he licked the remains of chocolate from her finger.
Vaishu: Have some shame Ansh. Our children are grown up ready to be married.
Reyansh: So, is there a rule that we shouldn’t romance or be intimate if children are grown up ?
Vaishu: how was your day ?
Reyansh: Mine was good but I m very clear that yours was not so tell me what happened. Why is your office swarmed with so many people and your PA’s are not to be seen too.
Vaishu: They must have eloped to save themselves from all the questions from the people.
Reyansh: And why is that ?
Vaishu: The party wanted me to the PM candidate in the upcoming election but I m not interested in it. Even other members has suggested the same and they decided to show up at home office to convince me.
Reyansh: Are you serious Avi ? Oh my god, you will be the PM of the nation.
Vaishu: Shut up Ansh. Didn’t you hear what I said ? I m not interested in it. I m more than happy with what I am now and we have been doing good with helping people so I want nothing more. Now we have more responsibilities with our children’s life. Ayaan and Adhvi has started throwing tantrums for everything they want.
Reyansh: If that is the only problem that you are not ready for the offer then be rest assured that I will handle them. Or if you really do not want to take up the responsibility then I won’t force you but honestly you are the perfect candidate for that post and you deserve that.
Vaishu: No Ansh, I m not interested and that is end of discussion. Just couple of more years and I want to retired from this political life. I hope you will understand.
Reyansh: Anything you ask for Avi and I will always support you in everything you decide.
Vaishu: Good for you because I thought I should remind you of the fight we had last year.
Reyansh got startled and sat up looking at her with his wide as saucers.
Reyansh: Don’t you dare Avi. That was the 14th fight we had since our marriage and trust me we are not fighting over anything ever again. You know how hard it is to stay without talking to you or cuddling you.
Vaishu: So what happened today ? Anything special ?
Reyansh: I have been invited to the Xcel women’s college but
Vaishu: No, you will not go there. God, I can’t see the girls and other women swooning over you. For god sake they should realize you are father of 4 children and you will be a grandpa soon once we get our children are married. It is your fault. Why do you have to be so handsome even at this age ?
Reyansh smirked and laid back and holding her hand he kissed her palm.
Reyansh: You should be happy that your husband is so smart, handsome, sexy and I m is all yours.
Vaishu: Don’t flatter yourself Mr.husband. Get away and I m missing my children.
Reyansh: Cruel woman you locked yourself enjoying the chocolates, snacks and now you are missing them ?
Vaishu: So ? I need some time to get over the stress everybody put on me to accept the offer.
Reyansh: you good now or should I make it up for you ?
Vaishu: I m perfectly doing good.
Vaishu pushed him away and they walked out of the room. Ishaan, Ishika, Adhvika were in the kitchen. When Reyansh and Vaishu tried to enter Ayaan stopped them.
Ayaan: Appa, entry restricted so please get back on your way.
Reyansh: Oh I see, here I thought of giving up calling you Cup cake but its ok cupcake.
Ayaan: Appaaa, maa please tell him to stop calling me cupcake.
Reyansh: I will stop calling you cupcake when you stop being a brat and stop throwing tantrums. Offer valid for 10 seconds.
Reyansh walked off holding Vaishu’s hand and Ayaan ran behind them jumping on Reyansh’s back.
Ayaan: I take the offer paa and I think you should join politics cause you make better moves to achieve what you want.
Vaishu: Finally you realized this. Good for you though and better keep up your words.
After dinner they were all seated in the garden with tea, coffee and hot chocolate a habit Reyansh developed over years to spend quality time with family.
Reyansh: So, what important discussion do we have today ?
Ishaan: Appa, the 10th branch of my chain hotels has marked another milestone and I m so happy with the progress.
Ishika: Maa, I m so happy in taking care of our trust and If you are again to ask me about marriage then I will be ready for marriage when I meet the right person. I wanted someone in my life who look at me like the way appa look at you. He might not love and care like appa does to you but atleast I want him to give me some butterflies in my cells when he is near me.
Reyansh wrapped his hand around Ishika’s shoulder and kissed her temple.
Reyansh: My Princess deserves a prince and if you are ok then I shall try to find someone who could treat you like the way you deserve. I won’t force you so think over my idea. Sometimes the person we are looking for come into our life accidently or through acquaintances. Do you get my words ?
Ishi nodded her head and leaned on his shoulder.
Reyansh: So atleast today will you all let me if one of you will take care of Rey’s diamonds ? Don’t you think your father needs retirement after all these years ? I need some time with my wife.
Ayaan: Appa, you know I m too lazy unlike Ishu bro to start my own business so I will take away your burden. Don’t worry about Rey’s diamonds cause you have me, Ayaan Rey Badrinath.
Reyansh: Young man, I m happy that you will take over but I m not giving it to you so easily without you proving yourself worthy of it.
Adhavika: Appa, I want you to invest in my dance academy and I will repay the money in 3 years.
Reyansh: Ofcourse cup cake. I will personally take care of that.
They heard voices and the children squealed in excitement to see Mithun, Kajal and Pari.
Mithun: Is the date over or we shall join ?
Reyansh: Date can go as long as we wish. Now you are here with my darling princess we shall have a long date.
Ishaan and his siblings entered the kitchen to pick the cake they baked for Reyansh and Vaishu.
They reached the garden and placed the cake on the teapoy.
Adhvika: We know you would have guessed that we were baking the cake for you.
Reyansh: This hasn’t changed over years cupcake. But still I m surprised and happy.
Mithun: 25 years Rey … My god, how did you tolerate him Vaishu ?
Reyansh kicked Mithun’s foot and glared at him.

Over years everyone knew that Reyansh always wanted to be the first person to wish Vaishu and she too wanted the same so none wished them until the couple exchanged their wishes. Once they were done everyone squealed wishing them.
Reyansh and Vaishu cut the cake and fed each other first and later fed everyone.
Ishika gifted them a portrait of them from she painted and Adhvi presented a specially designed costume for the couple. Ayaan gifted them a pack of chocolate and finally Ishaan and Pari passed an envelop to the couple.
Ishaan: Appa, we all know you would have made your own plans for your 25th anniversary to make it more special to amma so I have booked a resort in Norway for a week next month. Also I have booked your jet for your fly. This trip is totally on us all for our lovely parents.
Mithun: He paid the money to book the jet for you.
Reyansh: I would have been more than happy to fly in economy class too if you had booked muffin. You don’t have to spend so much now that you are ready to take up more responsibility.
Ishaan: Don’t worry paa, soon I will compete you for being the richest man in Asia.
Ayaan: You will have to compete me bro cause I will take over Rey’s diamond.
Ishaan: Oh, then I m sure I will never win that place. My little brother is too smart and brilliant.
Ishika: Appa, Ayaan is lying so don’t trust him. He wanted to be independent and start with his own business just like Ishu so you better find some one else.
Reyansh: Muffin, you broke out his secret but don’t reveal his plan on establishing his own music company.
Ayaan: Apppaaaaa ??????
Reyansh: Oops I m sorry.

Reyansh: You are my son and I know how that mind would work by gene and I m so proud of you. As for Rey’s diamond don’t worry about that. At the right time we will find a heir to take over it. Now lets get back and we need some precious sleep. My wife looks so tired already.
Mithun cleared his throat and Reyansh glared at him but walked away holding Vaishu’s hand.
In the room Reyansh made Vaishu sit on the bed and rushed to the closet and emerged out holding a jewel box in his hand. He sat on the floor and placed the jewel box in her hand. Vaishu opened it and saw a beautiful platinum chain with a light blue heart diamond.
Vaishu: This is beautiful but Ansh I think you should spare some rare diamond collections for other people too.
Reyansh picked the chain and clasped it around her neck and the diamond rested on her chest. Reyansh kissed the diamond and her chest.
Reyansh: I wanted to give you the most precious things in the world and when I knew this diamond was in for auction I couldn’t stop myself from buying it to you.
Vaishu: How much did it cost ?
Reyansh: You tell me. You are a diamond merchant’s wife and by now you should be able to guess it.
Vaishu: Are we testing me now Mr. Reyansh ?
Reyansh: Ofcourse Mrs. Reyansh.
Vaishu: Approximately 22 million US dollars. Did I guess close to the actual cost ?
Reyansh: 23 million US dollars.
Vaishu: What should I gift you ?
Reyansh: Something very precious to me and you know what is that ?
Vaishu: In that case don’t you think you are the most precious gift in my life when I m your precious gift ?
Reyansh smiled at her and sat next to her pulling her to his lap.
Reyansh: I know you meant it Avi but trust me if it is possible I will place the whole world at your fee Avi. You are that precious to me. This is only part of the surprise. Actual celebration is we are flying to Greece tomorrow morning. A week, only you and me then we shall return and plan Ishaan and Pari’s wedding.
Vaishu: I know you will plan our vacation like every year so I packed our things already.
Reyansh: Then you should also know that I will let you rest for the night cause..
Vaishu: Save it old man. Our son will be married in a month and we will busy playing with our grand child very soon.
Reyansh: Age is just a number Avi.
Vaishu: Ofcourse my love. I know your libido is only increasing with years and you are becoming so handsome with each passing year.
Vaishu opened the draw in the night stand passed a watch to him.
Reyansh: Another masterpiece to my collection. You are the best baby.
Reyansh opened it and saw the custom made Rolex with diamond dials and their 25th anniversary engraved on the case back.
He laid on the bed and pulled Vaishu to his chest kissing her hair.
Reyansh: I m still in search of words to describe what I feel for you but I found none. Its beyond love, beyond obsession. you are beyond everything in this world still I could only say I love you Avi, I love you more than yesterday.
Vaishu: Love you Ansh.
