Chapter 60

Rishi was in his room awaiting Manjari’s arrival. Earlier he had informed his finance head and got a table for her in the Finance head’s cabin. Sudhir entered his room followed by Manjari who was dressed in a fancy top and bottom.

Manjari was surprised to see her father, mother and grandpa seated on the couch. They rose to their feet and moved to her with a smile. Vani touched her head and they blessed her for joining business.

Raghavan: Manjari, the whole family and Vimal are supporting you. Life and business both needs to be learned and handled with love and patience. Moreover you need passion to be  successful.

Grandpa: Manjari, your father and brother are best examples, understand what they have gone through, what they did and what they are today, then you will realize what you need to do in your life.

Vani: Life is too short to ignore certain things and regret over the lost things. Think a 100 times before you do something.

Rishi: Manju, all the best and you can approach me anytime you need my help or assistance.

Manjari: Thank you, I didn’t expect you all to be here to wish me. Thank you so much.

Rishi walked out of his room with Manjari and Sudhir following him. Rishi introduced Manjari to the finance head and wished her once again before he returned to his room. He sat on the single seater sofa opposite to his family.

Raghavan: Rishi, what is that you wanted to discuss with us ?

Rishi: Dad, grandpa, don’t be shocked but I m planning on starting my own business.

Grandpa/ Raghavan: What?????

Rishi: There is a lot of changes in Manjari that I don’t see in a positive way. It won’t be long that she would want her share .. a majore share in business or the position of CEO since she has equal rights.

Grandpa: I made your father CEO of this business not because he was the heir but he proved and earned the position and the same goes to you so it won’t be you or Manjari to decide the CEO of this business. If she prove herself better than you, sure we will consider her.

Raghavan: Still the take over doesn’t happen over night Rishi, its a long process which I don’t need to explain to you so drop your idea of starting your own business. She needs to act mature to handle both her personal and professional life so its not a topic for discussion now.

Rishi: I made her to work under Fiance head for few months in the hope she will learn business and act matured around people. I hope she changes the way she look at people.

Grandpa: Why didn’t you want us to talk to Vimal ?

Rishi: That man had endured a lot grandpa, he has forgiven her too many times so let us be rational and let them decide their life. I don’t want them to be forced in the relationship. We have done enough to keep up them together so now parting ways or reconciling, it must be their sole decision and not by any influence.

Vani: Lets hope for the best else we shall support their decision.

Rishi: Thank you mom, I m so happy and proud that you all are so supportive.

Rishi then walked them off from his office before he returned to continue his work. Manjari looked at the file in hand and few manuals that was given to her to learn. An hour later the finance head watched Manjari looking at her mobile and sip her coffee casually. She didn’t bother since it was the first day at work. Rishi invited Manjari to have lunch with him in his room.

Rishi: First day might feel boring and drowsy but bring yourself to learn. Your passion will lead you to reach heights.

Manju: Don’t worry bro, I m a quick learner so it won’t be a problem for our finance head to train me.

Rishi: Good, once you are familiar with finance operations then I will let you learn administrations. You can learn all our business operations one by one.

Rishi’s mobile started ringing as usual from Aadhi to check if he had lunch. Rishi excused from Manjari and moved to the glass wall and talked to Aadhi. Manjari did’t fail to notice the way he was talking in a hushed voice and the smile all the while he talked. Manjari thanked him and returned to her work after having lunch with him.

By evening Rishi called up Sudhir and got to know that Manjari had left. He then called Vimal who was driving back home after a meeting with his lawyer. On seeing the call from Rishi he answered it immediately.

Vimal: Yes, Rishi what a surprise you called me at this hours ?

Rishi: Just wanted to know what exactly Manjari was feeling about her first day at work. What did she say ?

Vimal: First day at work ?

Rishi was quite for a moment processing the meaning behind his questions.

Rishi: She had joined my office and today was her first day so I thought if she is happy.

Vimal pinched the bridge of his nose on hearing the information from Rishi.

Vimal: Ofcourse she is happy Rishi and thanks to you for giving her this opportunity.

Rishi: Vimal……………. I hope she will use this opportunity and you take care.

Vimal hummed and cut the call. He hit the steering that Manjari might cause problem in Rishi and Aadhi’s life.

Vimal Mv: Wish I could reveal everything to Rishi and Aadhi but I m just half way through my plans.

He continued driving and saw Chaitra standing by a car which looked like a breakdown. He parked his car behind her car and approached her.

Vimal: What happened Chaitra ?

Chaitra who was lost in thoughts got startled and held her chest but sighed in relief and smiled on seeing Vimal.

Vimal: We meet often these days, now tell me what happened ?

Chaitra: I was on way back to home but seems like my car has other plans. I m here for the past 30 minutes and mechanic has been looking into for the last 20 minutes.

Vimal waited with Chaitra until the mechanic informed that the car has to be towed to garage for the problem to be fixed.

Vimal: Chaitra, let him take your car and I will drop you home.

Chaitra: Its ok, I will book a cab. I don’t want to spoil your plans if you had any.

Vimal: As if I m in mood to party to make plans. Please get in the car Chaitra

Chaitra smiled and got in the passenger seat and Vimal started driving towards her home.

Vimal: Thank you Chaitra, you helped me and I m working on the plans just like you suggested. I spoke to my parents and they understood me and agreed to help me. Thank you so much, I owe you.

Chaitra: You don’t owe me anything. I just stated a very simple suggestion, still you can treat me with ice cream when you are happy in your life.

Vimal: I don’t think I would be happy ever so lets not wait for such day and buy you right now.

Vimal tried to stop the car by an ice cream parlour but Chaitra stopped him.

Chaitra: Sure I will let you treat me even with lunch or dinner too but this is not the right time. Don’t stop when you see me the next time, you will give high chances in your wife’s favour if you are spotted with any female especially me. She might flip the record and file adultery against you. Don’t get me wrong but I think she would go to any extreme and play dirty so don’t let her do that to you.

Vimal was stunned and shocked at the same time on hearing her words.

Vimal: I m sorry, I didn’t realize that I m dragging your life into my mess. Ofcourse your name would be tarnished, I m so sorry Chaitra.

Chaitra: I didn’t mean that and I m least worried about it. I just didn’t want you to suffer further giving her upper hand by any means.

Vimal bobed his head and dropped her home before he drove back to meet his parents  to get their sign in all the documents.

Three days later:

Aadhi was sleeping and Rishi noticed it was time for her to get ready for college. He had noticed her being sleepy most of the time recently and felt he was exhauting her so he stopped disturbing her for the past 3 days yet she was sleeping more than usual. He shook her gently and Aadhu just hummed in respose and threw leg over his and snuggled into him.

Rishi: Aadhu, didn’t you say you should be earlier than usual at college today ?

Aadhi: I want to sleep Rishu but I need to get ready too, I have become so lazy Rishu.

Rishi smiled on hearing her words and kissed her forehead and stroke her back gently.

Rishi: Aadhu, I will get you ready for college today and in the evening we will go to the hospital. I don’t see you are being normal. I will talk to the principal to continue your studies from home for few days.

  Aadhi: Nope, get me ready for today alone.

Rishi: I m very much happy in getting you ready but you said the same yesterday too and the day before yesterday too so its better we check your health and may be if you are weak we shall get some vitamins.

Aadhi: Why do you always nag about taking me to the hospital ? Get away Rishi..

Aadhi pushed him and entered the washroom to get ready. Rishi stood shocked for a moment on seeing her outburst still he knocked on the washroom door and saw it was open. He entered inside and saw her brushing her teeth. He filled the tub with water but Aadhi moved to the shower cubilce to bath. Rishi tossed his vest and picked her bodywash to bath her.

Aadhi glared at him but Rishi pecked her lips and started bathing her. Aadhi stood before the vanity dressed in a professional attire. Behind her Rishi too stood wearing his tie.

Aadhi: Rishu, do you think I will get selected in today’s interview ?

Rishu: Why wouldn’t you ? You are so brilliant, exceptionally talented and you hold a gold medal too so who will hesitate to recruit you ? The question here is do you want to work for them ? Calm down and you choose the company you wanted to work for.

Rishi pulled her into a hug and kissed her holding her nape. Aadhi moaned into the kiss and Rishi pulled back before the kiss turned into a make out. He kissed her forehead and togther they arrived at the dining and saw Latha placing the dishes. Rishi had informed Latha to arrive early to cook breakfast since Aadhi was feeling too tired and Rishi couldn’t cook in the morning since he had to take care of her.

They got in the car and Rishi passed a can of fresh juice for her to sip on way. Once they arrived at the college Rishi turned to her and pressed his lips on her eyelids and smiled at her.

Rishi: All the very best Aadhu, I will see you in the evening with your favourite ice cream.

Aadhi bobed her head with a smile and Rishi kissed her forehead before he let her get off the car. The interview was yet to commence so Aadhi and Malini were in their classroom awaiting with every other student.

As soon as the interview started students were called one by one into a room. Aadhi and Malini were so shocked and deep in thoughts looking at each after they got to know that the placement was for Rishi’s company. Aadhi had no idea about the staffs except for Sudhir so she was lost in thoughts if Rishi would be present in the interview panel.

Malini: Do you think your crushy baby would have arrived for the interview process ? I don’t think so Aadhu, he is the CEO and I m sure no CEO would be in the panel to recruit a fresher so should be someone else. Do you think they would identify you as their boss ? May be, may not be but what will you do if you are selected or not selected ?

Aadhi: I m sure you must be having answer for that too. Malu, you have been asking question and answering it too. For your kind information, I had no idea that it would be Rishi’s compamy. I even sent a message to him but there isn’t any reply so far.

Soon it was Aadhi’s turn and she brushed of the non -existent dust from her blazer and entered the room only to be shocked on seeing Rishi with two more men and Sudhir standing behind him.
