A month later, Ayaan sent all the details of his plan to Dario. Meanwhile, Sameer informed Nafel about Ayaan’s interest in entering into a business partnership with the clear condition that it remain strictly confidential. Ayaan was certain Nafel would agree and waited patiently for his response.
At the same time, Suryadev was busy contacting top celebrities, urging them to stand by his side and extend their support for the upcoming elections.
When Ayaan showed the list of celebrities to Vaishu. She chuckled and dropped the file back onto the table.
“This is the same technique I used to help him when your father wasn’t well and couldn’t focus on politics or business. I think this strategy is too old and outdated now. We should think of something that truly puts him behind the times.” she said.
Ayaan nodded in agreement. “That’s exactly what we will do but at the same time, he shouldn’t be receiving support from anyone in the country. Let’s make sure the celebrities understand who holds the power now. “
Ayaan then turned toward Sameer. “Sameer, let’s host a grand party for Mom’s 60th birthday. Invite every trending celebrity. Arrange special gifts, ones that make it very clear whose side they should be on and their role.” he said and Sameer nodded his head, already making a note of it.
Ayaan returned to the room and noticed Rehan and Zavi sleeping peacefully in their crib. His expression softened for a moment. He quietly removed his shirt and walked toward the closet to change for the night but froze mid-step.
Zara walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body, her hair damp from the shower.
She froze too. Her gaze lingered on his bare torso, while Ayaan caught the way her breath hitched. A slow smirk curved his lips as he watched her. It had been months since they had been intimate, except for the cuddles, hugs and kisses. He had held himself back, wanting her to heal completely and never once pushed her to the edge.
But tonight, just the sight of her stirred everything he had buried so carefully. Still, he hesitated. Her health mattered more than his desire. So instead, he chose to tease her.
“Are you trying to seduce me, sweetheart?” he asked casually leaning on the wall.
Zara didn’t answer. She stepped toward him.
Each step snapped one thread of his restraint. She rose onto her toes and brushed a kiss against his cheek. Her wet lips against his warm skin made him swallow hard, his palms itched to pull her close and to claim her.
Zara stepped back and traced his forehead lightly with her finger, a simple gesture, yet devastatingly seductive.
“Zara, do you even know what you are doing? Don’t provoke me unless you are ready for me.” Ayaan murmured and his voice dropped dangerously to a whisper.
His breath turned hot as he caught her wrist. He turned her palm upward and pressed a kiss into it.
“It’s been more than nine months since I’ve made love to you,” he whispered.
“And who stopped you, husband?” Zara asked softly and her tone was deliberately provocative.
Ayaan groaned and pulled her closer, his hand settled firmly at her waist.
” My restraints are barely hanging by a single thread, wifey. Don’t blame me if I lose control. I have been holding back months of desire.” he muttered, brushing his lips over her earlobe and tugged it gently with his teeth. Zara curled her toes, placing her palm against his chest, she felt his racing heartbeat beneath her hand.
“I thought you forgot your wife,” she said, deliberately pushing him further.
Ayaan’s fingers tightened at her waist. “You’ve been tormenting me every single day. But I stopped myself because my wife’s well-being mattered more than my hunger for her.” he replied.
Ayaan leaned in and pressed a soft, lingering peck to her lips. Zara wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. Ayaan’s lips drifted to her neck and pressed his mouth to her collarbone. He kissed and nibbled on her skin until he gave her a mark.
“Do you think we can step outside and continue while the babies are still asleep in their crib? After all these months of waiting, I don’t want to make love to you on a couch or hidden away in our closet, nor rushed in the dark on our bed. I need time… time to worship you.” Ayaan murmured, his words broken between kisses.
Zara moaned softly and bit her lip to steady herself.
“Either the couch for now, or we wait until morning when Papa takes Rehan and Zavi out to play.” she whispered.
Ayaan groaned, heat and need rushing through him as he pulled her closer, clearly torn between patience and desire. He hoisted her up effortlessly and Zara instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck. Ayaan carried her to the couch with a soft smile tugging at his lips.
“We are definitely placing a bed in the closet,” he murmured and gentled settled her down.
Zara laughed quietly, the sound warm and breathless, as he leaned over her and brushed a strand of hair away from her face. He lowered himself beside her instead of over her and pulled her into his arms. Her head rested against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. Ayaan pressed a slow kiss to her forehead, then to her temple, letting the moment stretch.
She lifted her face, their eyes met in the dim light. His lips brushed hers gently and full of everything he had held back. Zara sighed into the kiss, her fingers curled into his shoulders.
” You have been tormenting me with this body of yours. Every second, I wanted to tear your clothes off and ravish you… but I was terrified I might hurt you.” he murmured between kisses along her swan-like neck.
Zara arched her neck, a soft gasp escaped her as she gave him more access.
With a single tug, the towel fell away and landed forgotten in a corner. Ayaan’s gaze swept over her and raw hunger blazed in his eyes as he took her in.
“Your body has changed,” he said softly and the words made Zara’s heart stutter. Insecurity crept in with her new curves and the extra softness. She averted her gaze and swallowing hard but Ayaan caught her chin instantly and lifted her face until their eyes locked, as though he could read every unspoken fear.
“You are a hundred times more beautiful than you ever were. These curves… this softness… they drive me crazy, Zara.” he said and his fingers traced the outline of her body with reverent tenderness and worship rather than hunger in his touch.
Ayaan’s words settled deep in Zara’s heart and dissolved every lingering doubt. The way his eyes lingered on her curves, the certainty in his voice made her straighten instinctively and she felt beautiful.
He looked her full bosoms and then at her eyes before gently groping them. The wetness turned him into a beast and Zara turned completely red. A loud gasp escaped her lips the moment his lips latched onto her bud.
A low grunt escaped his lips as he devoured her. He raised his head, his lips wet and his chest heaved as he looked at her with a satisfactory smile.
Soon his pant was on the floor and he was buried between her legs. Zara moaned his name as drove her to the edge. His patience thinned and he wrapped her legs around his waist. Zara raised her hip to meet him and they gasped the moment he pushed inside her.
Ayaan laid on her as they felt their reunion after months. Ayaan showered her with kisses and Zara cupped his face and kissed him before he started thrusting inside her. They reached the climax and Ayaan balanced with his hands as he lowered slowly and kissed her forehead.
They stayed there, wrapped around each other, letting love speak louder than urgency. Outside the room, the world could wait. For now, it was just them, quiet breaths, shared warmth and a promise of more when time allowed.
Ayaan took care of Zara and carried her to their bed. They looked radiant and relaxed after their lovemaking, wrapped in a quiet glow as they lay cuddled together under the dim light.
“Are you sure I didn’t hurt you? Tell me if you feel even the slightest pain.” Ayaan whispered softly.
Zara immediately pinched his chest lightly, making him hiss. “Stop asking that question, I’m perfectly fine.” she said firmly.
Ayaan smiled and kissed the crown of her head, holding her closer. Soon, they drifted into a peaceful sleep, wrapped in comfort and contentment.
They woke up early the next morning when Zavi stirred, her soft sounds signaled hunger. Ayaan gently lifted her from the crib and handed her to Zara, who settled her in her arms to feed. Ayaan sat beside them, playing with Zavi’s tiny toes and the delicate anklet around her ankle until she was full.
By then, Rehan had woken up. Ayaan placed him in Zara’s arms and rocked Zavi back to sleep. By the time both babies were settled again, the clock showed six in the morning.
Ayaan sent a message to his mother, asking that their little family not be disturbed. Vaishu immediately informed the home manager and Sameer, ensuring that no one interrupted their quiet morning.
When Zara woke up at eleven, she realized she was alone in the room. Ayaan and the babies were nowhere to be seen. She stretched lazily and reached for her phone but her eyes caught sight of a beautiful bouquet of roses placed beside the bed with a small note tucked into it.
A knowing smile curved her lips as she reached for the flowers and pulled out the note.
Hey beautiful,
I just wanted to stay in bed and hold you all day but our prince and princess had other ideas. So I had to sneak out with them, just so my gorgeous wife could sleep her heart out.
Meet us in the living room once you’re ready.
P.S.: The new bed is all set for tonight 😉
Zara smiled wider at the wink emoji. She kissed the note softly and finally got out of bed.
When she walked into the living room, Reyansh and Vaishu were feeding lunch to Rehan and Zavi. The moment the twins noticed her, they squealed and began crawling toward her with excitement.
“They are reacting as if you were gone on a long vacation,” Ayaan said with a grin and lifted Zavi into his arms before leaning down to kiss Zara’s forehead. Zavi immediately pushed Ayaan’s face away, babbling in her own little language.
“Jealous princess,” Zara muttered fondly and kissed Ayaan’s cheek before hugging Reyansh and Vaishu.
Ayaan then left Rehan and Zavi with his parents and joined Zara in the dining area. He had only managed a late-morning coffee and decided to have an early lunch with his wife instead. He served food onto Zara’s plate and fed her lovingly, completely oblivious to the amused glances from the staff who, by now, were more than used to such scenes.
For Ayaan, the audience never mattered, only she did.
Two days later, Sameer informed Ayaan that Nafel Razaq had agreed to meet him and wanted to finalize the location. Ayaan sat alone in his study and mapped out every step of his plan. The meeting was crucial, the one he couldn’t avoid if he wanted to bring his long-pending revenge to its end.
But he would have to leave his wife and babies behind for at least three days. The thought tightened his chest. Being away from Zara was hard enough, being away from Rehan and Zavi felt unbearable. Yet he had no choice.
He finally walked into the bedroom and paused at the sight before him. Zara sat on the bed, talking animatedly to Rehan and Zavi, who were now sitting upright, supported by the pillows she had carefully arranged behind them.
Ayaan climbed onto the bed and lay down, resting his head near the twins. Instantly, they leaned forward, giggling and grabbing his hair, their tiny tongues brushed against his forehead.
“All the love is only for Daddy the moment he steps in,” Zara teased.
Ayaan reached out and pinched her waist lightly. “You know how much I love you, Mommy. Wait till they fall asleep, I’ll prove it.” he murmured and Zara slapped his arm playfully, rolling her eyes.
Ayaan then sat up, leaning back against the headboard and pulled the babies closer as they began playing with their toys. Rehan was fascinated by a rattle and Zavi chewing determinedly on a soft plush.
Ayaan’s expression softened before turning serious. “Zara… I need to tell you something. Nafel has agreed to meet me. I will have to travel. It might take at least three days.” Ayaan said quietly.
Zara’s smile faltered for a split second but she masked it quickly and nodded as if it didn’t shake her at all. Ayaan saw it anyway like he did always.
“I don’t like the idea of leaving you and the babies. It terrifies me. I even thought of taking all of you with me…” he said honestly and brushed his thumb over Zavi’s tiny fingers.
“But this meeting won’t be safe or peaceful. And I don’t want our babies first journey to be during something so tense. They deserve their first trip to be happy, carefree and us enjoying it together.” Ayaan said.
Zara swallowed, then smiled softly. “I understand,” she said, even though worry lingered in her eyes.
Ayaan reached out and cupped her cheek gently. “I’ll finish this quickly and come back to you. I have planned this all so I will be safe, I promise.” he said to assure her.
The babies babbled between them, unaware of the weight of the conversation and for a moment, Ayaan held onto the sound and they smiled at Rehan and Zavi.
Ayaan informed Sameer that he would speak to Nafel first before meeting him in person. However, before that he wanted to confront Suryadev about the deal he had once promised.
