Chaitra and Malini were in the room with lot of color sheets, scissor, glue, sketches, photos scattered on the bed. Rani sat on a chair beside the bed and fed fruits to the girls watching them busy in their work.
Malini: what would have you done if your honey bear hadn’t let you stay here for today ?
Chaitra: I would have ordered some gifts from online but I badly wanted to gift him made by me so I had to convince him to let me stay here for a day. Ofcourse he was sulking but I had to leave him to execute my plan.
Malini: Go ahead, after all its his first birthday after your wedding. What else are you planning by the way ?
Chaitra: I m planning to invited everyone for dinner.. you know a little surprise but once again I need to plan something to get him out of home and I m not sure if he would agree.
Malini: I will tell him I need his help or we shall call Aadhi and she would do something about it.
Chaitra: Yeah, even I thought the same. We could use Ridha and trap him with our princess until I get everything done.
Malini: Oh hello madam, you won’t be doing all those things. I will be there and even uncle, aunt can help me to decorate the home and you just bake the cake with help of aunty. My poor brother, don’t kill him with your cake.
Chaitra: Idiot, he will eat anything I cook for him. After all I m his one and only beautiful wife.
Malini: Yeah.. yeah as if others have 10 wives. Focus on the gift girl, my brother deserves only the best.
Chaitra: And what about me ?
Malini: You are his queen so obviously he will give you only best of the best.
Chaitra chuckled and opened her mouth for her mother to feed her. Her mobile started ringing and she answered the video call from Vimal.
Vimal: How are my babies and baby girl doing ?
Chaitra: Your babies have given me a break so your baby girl is busy having apple. Your mother in law is feeding me.
Vimal: What are you so busy with that my mother in law is feeding you ?
Chaitra: I m busy as the same while you feed me at our home.
Vimal: hello mom, is she giving you a tough time ?
Rani: No son but if she does then I will call you and you better come take your wife back with you.
Chaitra: and now he would want me to behave bad so that you will call him to take me back.
Vimal winked at her words and Rani chuckled at them.
Vimal: Alright love, I will send you few pics of destination for maternity shoot. Choose one from it and send me your own choices to arrange for it.
Chaitra: I will select one from your choices hubby. Now I need time with my mom so I can’t keep entertaining you so bye.
Vimal smiled and cut the call returning to his work while Chaitra continued her work.
Malini received a call from her mother and answered it but her smile vanished the moment she heard from her mother. She cut the call and looked at Chaitra with a pout.
Chaitra: What happened now ?
Malini: I don’t know but she wants me home urgently. Her voice was different and sort of excited, nervous.. I don’t know but she just confirmed I have a good news.
Chaitra: Oh wow Malu, a good news ? Get out and call me as soon as you find out the good news. I will inform Aadhi and we will be waiting to hear from you.
Malini rolled her eyes and walked out grabbing few apple pieces.
Chaitra: Seriously I will curse you that you will never get apple for your wedding night.
Malini: Stupid girl, what would I do with apples on wedding night ?
Rani: Hey, I m still here so save all your savage counters for later.
Malini: Don’t worry aunty, I will text my reply to Chaitu. Hey you Mrs. Vimal, don’t forget to send the video of the gift once you are done.
Chaitra: My husband will be the first to see the gift.
Malini: In that case I m not leaving until you complete the gift. I will stay back watch you do complete it.
Rani: Malu, go meet your mother before she calls for me.
Malini raised her hand in defeat and walked out leaving Chaitra to work alone.
Rishi arrived at his parents home and saw Manjari in the living busy with a mobile. With a frown he looked for his parents and saw Vani walk out of the kitchen with glass of juice. She smiled at Rishi and passed the juice to Manjari before she informed the maid to get juice for Rishi.
Vani: Sit down Rishi, your dad was feeling low so I sent him to meet his friend.
She pleaded him with her eyes to talk with Manjari but Rishi shook his head denying immediately. Vani didn’t force him further but Rishi saw the hurt in her eyes and Aadhi’s words echoed in his mind so he decided to break the barrier a little for the sake of the two women in his life.
Rishi: How is your treatment going on Manjari ?
Manjari was initaily shocked on seeing Rishi talk to her. A few seconds later she came out of the shock and bobed her head.
Manjari: Yeah, not bad as I thought. May be I should have listened to you back when you wanted me to meet the psycologist.
Rishi: You are not suppose to use social media. That was one of the conditions on which you were sent home.
Manjari: Ofcourse I know and I m not using any social media accounts. I m just playing games to keep my mind off from unwanted thoughts.
Rishi: unwanted thoughts ?
Manjari: Nothing serious to be worried about. I can handle since I m well trained now.
Rishi Mv: What does she mean by well trained ?
Rishi: Did the doctor share any information about your progress ?
Manjari: You should be asking the Inspector who would inturn get you an official report.
They heard the security call and Rishi turned his attention completely to him.
Security: Sir, there is a lady to meet madam.
Manjari: She is from the spa and I called her so send her in.
Rishi and Vani watched Manjari walk towards the door. They watched Manjari ascend the stairs with the lady who was carrying a bag. Once Manjari shut the door Rishi turned to his mother.
Rishi: How are things going now ? Do you see any change ?
Vani: Well she wasn’t talking to us but now a little conversation here and there. Your dad got her a mobile and she is lost in it all the time. Four more days and I hope she will open up completely. By the way what have you decided about the case Rishi ?
Rishi: Mom, let her get treated first, let the doctor certify that she is fit and perfect physically and mentally.
Vani bobed her head and walked back to the kitchen to inform the menu for lunch. Meanwhile in Manjari’s room the lady sat by the foot doing pedicure and Manjari was looking at the profiles of Rishi, Aadhi, Vimal and Chaitra’s social media accounts.
In the living Rishi called Sudhir and waited for him to answer his calls while his eyes were on the closed door of Manjari’s room.
Sudhir: Hello Boss, how are you ?
Rishi: We met yesterday Sudhir. Now back to business, I want you to check if Manjari is active in any of her social media accounts. Inform the hacker to keep a close watch on her.
Rishi sat to have lunch with his mom and dad who had returend after meeting his friend. Vani sent a maid to call Manjari to have lunch but she returned saying Manjari would have later since she wasn’t done with her spa.
Rishi finally decided to return home and saw a new care parked by their lane. He got to know the car belonged to the lady whom has arrived for Manjari’s spa session. He made a note of the number and informed one of his security team to check the details of the lady.
He arrived home and saw Ridha and Aadhi on the carpeted floor playing with the toys.
Rishi: Ridha, my princess, did you have lunch ?
Aadhi: She loved the lunch and finished it like a good girl.
Rishi: Thats so sweet of my cute princess. She listened to her dad’s words and had been a good girl without troubling her mamma in my absence.
Rishi sat next to Aadhi and pecked her cheek and the impatient baby Ridha crawled to his lap and started speaking to him. Rishi raked his fingers through her hair and kissed her forehead carrying her in his arms.
Ridha pinched Rishi’s nose and he flicked her nose with his earning giggles from his little daughter. Aadhi’s mobile started ringing and she saw it was Chaitra and answered it immediately.
Aadhi: Hello my beautiful sister in law, how far are you from finishing of the gift ?
Chaitra: Your niece and nephew wouldn’t let me work for a while and start their tournament so I would finish it probably by night. Alright now, we have Malu and she has something very important to share with us.
Aadhi: Malu, what a wonder that you are silent ?
Chaitra: Hey drama queen, tell us already. What happened and why did aunty called you ?
Malini: There were few guest and it was a total shock for me.
Chaitra: Stop beating around the bush.
Malini: fine, there was proposal and the family made a sudden visit expressing their wish to get me married to their son.
Aadhi: Oh wow, finally it is happening I see.
Chaitra: Did you see and talk to the guy, how is he ? Does he match your height ?
Aadhi: Did you reveal all your conditions to him ?
Chaitra: Foremost condition is we would be meeting just we were doing all these years.
Aadhi: Where does he live ?
Malini: Shut up devils and let me speak for god sake. I know this guy for some years now and he said he liked me.
For few seconds Malini heard nothing and checked if she was still on call but she dropped her mobile when she heard the girls scream through the mobile.
Malini: Seems like you girls had planned to kill me already.
Aadhi: Malu, who is that guy whom you know and we didn’t know ?
Malini: Everyone know him and its quite shocking when he confessed that he liked me and wanted to get married to me.
Chaitra: Be clear girl.
Malini: Ok, now look up at the sky and I m taking you to flashback.
Flashback:
Malini entered her home calling for her mom but stood rooted on seeing Yuvraj and his family seated in the living. She was so surprised and sat opposite to them with a wide smile.
Malini: Hello Senior, long time no see. How are you ?
Yuvarj: I m fine Malini and I hope you are doing good.
Malini: Ofcourse I m doing good. I was with Chaitra and mom called me but I didn’t knew you would be waiting to surprise me.
Malini’s mom and dad cleared their throat and she smiled at them clueless about what is happening.
Yuvraj: Uncle, aunty, do you mind if I talk to Malini ? I want to do it myself.
Both the family bobed their head and Malini followed him out. They reached his car and he opened the door to the passenger seat.
Malini: Are you planning on kidnapping me senior ?
Yuvraj: what if I said yes ? I would like to kidnap you and hold you hostage with me forever but with your consent.
Malini froze on his words and Yuvraj parked the car by a park and gestured her to follow him. They got seated on a bench and Malini was still silent, waiting for him to continue.
Yuvraj: You know I liked and infact loved Aadhi but I got over my feelings for her. It took me atleast a year to get over my heart break and trust me I have been a friend to her.. a true friend and still I am. My family wanted me to get married and I wanted someone who would be my friend, who would be innocent by heart, who could make me laugh and make me cry as well. I know you are scared of relationships and commitments, trust me, I m scared as well. I like you a lot Malini, would you call me cringe or duffer if I say that I love you ?
Malini: What ?
