Recap: Vikram calls Pugazh family
**************************************
The morning sun filtered through the curtains as Vikram woke up early and went to freshen up. The warmth Sana felt beside her vanished as soon as he left the bed. Though she woke up, she remained curled under the blankets, feeling lazy. A few minutes later, Vikram emerged from the washroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist, assuming that Sana was still asleep. He walked to the mirror and began drying his hair with another towel.
Sana, however, was wide awake and caught sight of him in his half-naked state. A deep blush crept onto her cheeks, and she instinctively looked away, feeling too shy to meet his gaze. Vikram noticed her reaction through the mirror and was momentarily uncertain about how to respond. However, seeing her blush, he decided to play it cool, even though he, too, felt a nervous shyness bubbling within him.
“Good morning, my dear wifey,” he greeted with a teasing smirk.
Sana, overwhelmed with embarrassment, couldn’t utter a single word. Her lips parted slightly, but no sound came out.
“Sunshine, look at me,” Vikram coaxed, his tone gentle yet playful.
“I… I…” she stuttered, struggling to form a coherent sentence.
Vikram chuckled. “Sana, why do you stutter now?”
“No… I… I’m not… Nothing… Like you say… Yeah… I’m good,” she fumbled, her words tumbling out in a nervous rush.
“Are you sure? But why do you look so uncomfortable?” he asked, tilting his head.
“No… Of course, I’m… good… perfectly fine,” she insisted, still avoiding his gaze.
“You sure, sunshine?” Vikram teased again.
“No doubts… Now I will go and get refreshed,” Sana announced quickly, attempting to escape.
Before she could take a step, Vikram moved towards her and, in one swift motion, scooped her into his arms. Sana shut her eyes tightly, overwhelmed by their close proximity. Vikram himself felt a rush of emotions, his own nervousness barely concealed. The feel of her hand on his bare shoulder sent a surge of warmth through him. He wanted to take things slow, so with great restraint, he carried her to the washroom and gently set her down.
Once inside, Sana leaned against the door, her heart pounding. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, her cheeks still flushed from what had just transpired. After refreshing herself, she returned to the room, only to find Vikram sitting on the couch, waiting for her. She hesitated to meet his gaze and instead stood at the dresser, focusing on fixing her hair.
Vikram, watching her, walked up behind and wrapped his arms around her. He pressed a gentle kiss on her shoulder before turning her to face him. Still, Sana refused to meet his eyes, looking down instead. He cupped her chin, lifting her face slightly, and placed a tender kiss on her forehead.
“Sunshine, open your eyes and look at me,” he whispered.
She shook her head, refusing. He kissed her closed eyelids.
“Sana, look at me. Please.”
Slowly, hesitantly, she opened her eyes and met his gaze.
“Did I make you uncomfortable?” he asked softly.
“No… I… I… I feel… shy,” she stammered.
Vikram chuckled, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “You like what you saw?”
“Vikram! Please stop teasing me,” Sana whined, her blush deepening.
“You look beautiful when you blush,” he murmured, caressing her cheeks with his thumbs before pressing a kiss to her cheek. Unable to resist any longer, Sana wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug. They stood there, lost in their own world of love, until a sudden knock on the door made them jerk apart.
“Pugazh has arrived,” Vikram informed her, straightening himself. “Let’s go.”
When Vikram opened the door, Pugazh stood there with a stern expression.
“Get lost, mister. I’m here to look after my sister,” he announced.
Vikram raised an eyebrow. “The last time I checked, I was your best friend.”
Pugazh crossed his arms. “First priority goes to my sister. Then comes my friendship with you. Later, we’ll decide whether you’re my friend or my villain.”
Pugazh walked in and turned to Sana, his expression softening. “Hello, my dear sister. How are you?”
“I’m fine, bro. Happy to meet you,” she responded warmly.
“Now tell me, what should I do with this idiot?” Pugazh asked. “Anything for my little sister.”
Sana giggled. “Give him a tight hug and forgive him.”
Pugazh shot Vikram a deadly glare. “Look at her! My sister has a heart of gold. I forgive you, but only for her.”
With that, he pulled Vikram into a reluctant hug before warning, “Now that I’m here, you better behave with her, or the consequences will be bad.”
“Aye aye, captain,” Vikram saluted playfully.
Pugazh then turned to Sana. “Come on, let’s go to the living room.”
Before Sana could move, Vikram pouted and stopped them. “Hey, where’s Mom and Pranitha?”
“They’re in the living room,” Pugazh replied. “Follow us to meet them.”
“Let’s go then. I’ll carry Sana,” Vikram declared.
“No! I can walk on my own,” Sana protested.
“Then we’ll take the lift,” Vikram insisted.
“It’s just one floor, Vikram! And you want us to take the lift?”
“Yes. Or I’ll carry you,” he smirked.
“Fine! We’ll take the lift,” she conceded with a sigh.
Once in the living room, Vikram greeted his mother. “Mom, how are you?”
“I’m fine, my dear son. How are you?” Amudha asked warmly.
“I’m super fine, Mom.” He then turned to Pranitha. “Hey, Pranitha! How are you?”
“I’m great, bro!” she replied cheerfully.
Vikram introduced Sana. “Mom, this is Sana, my wife.”
Sana bent to take blessings, but Amudha stopped her. “Sana, you shouldn’t be doing this, dear. You already have my blessings.”
Pranitha smiled. “Hi, Sana! I’m Pranitha, Pugazh’s wife. You look so cute and adorable!”
“Of course, she does. She’s my sister,” Pugazh said proudly.
Pranitha pouted. “What about me, then?”
“Of course, you’re cute and adorable, baby,” Pugazh reassured her.
Vikram then arranged rooms for Pugazh, Pranitha, and Amudha to freshen up, and later, they all gathered for breakfast. The day was filled with fun and laughter, with Pranitha teasing Pugazh about his antics and Vikram reminiscing about their college days.
That night, after making sure Sana was asleep, Vikram slipped out of the room and called Pugazh.
“Hey, is everything ready?” he asked in a hushed tone.
“Everything is set just like you wanted,” Pugazh confirmed.
“Good. Let’s meet at the right time.”
“I’ll handle that. Now go back to your room and execute the plan perfectly,” Pugazh instructed.
“Fine. I’m leaving. You take care of everything,” Vikram replied before heading back to his room, waiting for the perfect moment to put his plan into action.
