Recap: Vikram and family boarded their jet to Whitsunday Island by evening.

************************************

The private jet soared high above the clouds, carrying Vikram, Sana, their little princess Sara, and the rest of their family toward their long-awaited destination. Though Vikram and Sana had traveled across the world before, this trip was different, it was their first as a family, with their daughter in their arms. It wasn’t just another vacation; it was a memory they would treasure forever.

Inside the jet, Vikram and Sana sat side by side, while Pugazh and Pavi were comfortably seated across from them. Amma sat opposite Pavi, her gaze occasionally drifting toward little Sara, who was nestled securely in Sana’s arms.

Vikram couldn’t take his eyes off his wife. She looked breathtakingly beautiful, the soft glow of the cabin lights making her features even more radiant. He had always admired her, but seeing her like this—holding their daughter, smiling so gently, made his heart swell with emotions he couldn’t put into words. Overcome by love, he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek.

Sana gasped slightly, her eyes widening as she glanced around, her cheeks already flushing a deep red.

“Vikky!” she whispered, her voice a mixture of embarrassment and scolding. “Keep quiet. We’re not in our room. Remember that.”

Vikram smirked, clearly unbothered. “We do have rooms in our jet, love… and I don’t mind making use of them. What do you say?” He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

Sana shot him a glare, though the blush on her face betrayed her amusement. “Oh my God! What has gotten into you? Our daughter is staring at you right now!”

Vikram glanced at Sara, who indeed was watching him with her innocent, curious eyes. He sighed dramatically. “Fine, we’ll save our time for after landing. But I’m waiting, baby.”

Sana chuckled, shaking her head. “Let’s see…”

Vikram leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a husky murmur. “Sunshine, please don’t do this to me…”

Sana laughed, nudging him playfully, but before she could respond, Pugazh, who had been watching their little exchange, spoke up.

“What’s he whispering to you, Sana?” Pugazh asked, raising an eyebrow in curiosity.

Vikram immediately turned toward him, an easy smirk on his face. “Hey, hey, hey! Keep your focus on your wife. Listen to what she has to say, and leave mine to me.”

Pranitha, who was sitting next to Pugazh, rolled her eyes. “Everything you say falls on deaf ears. He will never change, will he?” She turned toward Pugazh, shaking her head knowingly.

Pugazh smiled and took her hand. “No, sweetheart. But you know I only have my eyes on you.”

The journey continued with endless chatter, laughter, and playful teasing. Even a long 25-hour flight couldn’t dampen the lively atmosphere inside the jet. When they finally neared their destination, excitement buzzed through the cabin.

As their jet descended, the breathtaking view of the island stretched before them—a paradise of endless turquoise waters, golden sands, and lush greenery. The moment they stepped off the jet, a soft breeze carried the scent of salt and blooming flowers, welcoming them to their temporary haven.

Waiting for them on the tarmac were the embassy’s higher officials, along with a security detail composed of Australian cops and private guards that Vikram had personally arranged.

The officials stepped forward, exchanging polite greetings before one of them gestured toward the security team. “Mr. Vikram, these officers will be ensuring your protection throughout your stay here.”

Vikram nodded appreciatively. “Thank you. I trust everything is in order.”

“Of course, sir. If there’s anything you need, please let us know.”

With the formalities out of the way, they were escorted to their awaiting cars. The drive to their luxurious resort was smooth, the cityscape blending seamlessly into the island’s tropical beauty. Upon arrival, they were led to their individual suites, each one offering a stunning view of the ocean.

After the long journey, exhaustion weighed on all of them. They decided to rest and recover from the jet lag before exploring the island. Vikram and Sana took Sara with them to their suite, while Pugazh and Pavi settled into theirs. Amma, too, had her own room.

The first rays of sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a golden glow over the sleeping couple. The room was silent, save for the gentle rhythm of waves crashing in the distance. Vikram stirred in his sleep, his arm loosely draped over Sana.

Then came the unmistakable sound of soft whimpering.

Sara’s tiny cries broke through the morning tranquility, instantly waking both Vikram and Sana.

Sana, still groggy, sat up and scooped Sara into her arms, gently rocking her. “She must be hungry…” she murmured sleepily.

Vikram ran a hand through his tousled hair and yawned, watching as Sana cradled their daughter. His gaze softened at the sight his wife and child, a picture of pure love. He leaned forward, brushing a kiss against Sara’s forehead before stepping into the bathroom to freshen up.

When he returned, he saw Sana lying on the bed beside Sara, tickling her little belly. The baby’s laughter rang through the room, filling it with warmth. Vikram chuckled and joined them, his fingers joining in the playful attack.

Sara squealed in delight, her tiny hands reaching out toward him.

“She loves you more than me,” Sana pouted teasingly.

Vikram smirked. “Of course. She’s daddy’s little princess, after all.”

Their laughter was interrupted by a soft knock at the door. Vikram got up and opened it to find Amma standing there.

“Come in, Mom,” he said, stepping aside.

Amma entered, her eyes immediately landing on Sara. “Let me get her ready. You both should freshen up properly.”

Vikram smiled. “Thanks, Mom.”

Amma took Sara with her to get her ready, leaving Vikram and Sana alone in their suite. Moments later, Sana emerged from the bathroom, fresh from her shower, droplets of water still clinging to her damp hair. The soft glow of the room’s lighting made her look even more radiant, and Vikram found himself utterly captivated. His gaze followed her every movement, his heart pounding at the sheer beauty before him.

Sana, on the other hand, was acutely aware of his stare. Her skin tingled under the intensity of his gaze, and she felt an uncharacteristic shyness creeping in. She avoided looking at him directly, her fingers fidgeting with the towel in her hands.

“Where is Sara?” she asked, keeping her voice even.

Vikram leaned back, smirking. “Mom took her to get her ready. She wanted to give us some space… so we can get ready too.”

“Oh…” Sana nodded quickly, trying to mask her nervousness. “I’ll take Sara’s dress to Amma then.”

She turned to leave, but before she could take a step, Vikram’s fingers wrapped around her wrist, stopping her in place. Her breath hitched. She stood still, her heart thudding in her chest, still refusing to meet his eyes.

“Are you really that shy, wifey?” Vikram murmured, his voice teasing but filled with something deeper. He leaned in, his breath warm against her ear. “I haven’t even started anything yet…”

Sana swallowed hard, her voice caught in her throat. Vikram chuckled at her reaction and brought his lips closer to her ear.

“Talk to me, sunshine.”

“What do you want me to talk about?” she whispered, still not facing him.

“There’s a lot…” he mused, his voice laced with mischief. “But I’ll let you go now. We’ll continue this later… at night.”

Sana exhaled, relieved yet flustered. Just as she tried to move again, Vikram pulled her back unexpectedly, his grip firm yet gentle. Before she could react, he leaned down and pressed a quick, feather-light kiss to her lips.

Heat spread across her face instantly. “Vikky!” she gasped, eyes wide.

Vikram winked, utterly unbothered.

Unable to handle the overwhelming rush of emotions, Sana broke free and ran out of the room, her breath uneven. She stopped in front of Amma’s room, closing her eyes and placing a hand over her racing heart, willing herself to calm down. Once composed, she entered the room and joined Amma in getting Sara ready.

Back in their suite, Vikram exhaled and scratched his eyebrow, trying to suppress the ridiculous grin threatening to form on his lips.

By the time the entire group was ready, they headed down for breakfast. Dressed in comfortable casual wear, they were eager to start their adventure. The day promised relaxation, exploration, and the kind of moments that would etch themselves into their memories forever.

Their special guide, Mr. Ricky, was already waiting for them.

Vikram stepped forward, offering a handshake. “Hello, Mr. Ricky. Nice meeting you.”

Ricky, a friendly-looking man with an air of professionalism, smiled. “Yes, sir. Your entire stay has been planned in detail. You’re going to have a wonderful time on the island.”

“That’s great,” Vikram said, motioning towards his family. “Meet my wife, my mom, my friend, and my sister.”

Ricky greeted them all with a polite nod. “Pleased to meet you.”

“So, what’s on the agenda?” Vikram asked.

“We will fly to the Heart Reef,” Ricky explained. “It’s one of the most famous sights, a naturally formed heart-shaped coral that’s breathtaking to see from the air. The best way to experience it is by helicopter, light plane, or seaplane.”

Sana’s eyes lit up. “A heart-shaped coral?”

Vikram glanced at her reaction and smirked. “That sounds perfect. Let’s move.”

Soon, they boarded a small aircraft and took off, soaring high above the stunning blue waters of the Great Barrier Reef. As they approached Heart Reef, gasps of awe filled the cabin. Below them, the formation of corals created the perfect heart shape, floating amidst the pristine waters—a masterpiece sculpted by nature itself.

Vikram and Pugazh later hopped into a glass-bottomed boat, marveling at the vibrant marine life swimming beneath them. Turtles, schools of colorful fish, and coral formations stretched as far as the eye could see.

By the time they returned to the resort in the evening, everyone was still lost in the magic of the sights they had witnessed.

“That was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” Pranitha sighed, still mesmerized.

“I agree,” Sana added, her voice filled with wonder. “The natural beauty of the corals… that perfect heart shape… it was mind-blowing.”

Vikram turned to her. “You really liked it?”

Sana’s lips curved into a soft smile. “I loved it.”

Amma, however, sighed. “I might feel dizzy if I fly again tomorrow, so I think I’ll stay back and take care of Sara while you four go enjoy.”

Vikram frowned. “Mom, we have time to rest today. We can fly tomorrow instead.”

Amma shook her head. “No, Vikram. I don’t feel comfortable traveling too much at my age. You all go ahead.”

Pugazh nodded. “She’s right, Vikram. It might be uncomfortable for her.”

Accepting Amma’s decision, they had dinner and retired for the night, excited for the next day’s adventure.

Later that night, Vikram and Pugazh stepped out of the resort for a quiet walk along the shore. The night was peaceful, the soft hum of waves adding a serene backdrop to their conversation.

“So, what’s this all about?” Pugazh asked, curious.

Vikram exhaled and rubbed the back of his neck. “Tomorrow is our first wedding anniversary.”

Pugazh blinked. “You idiot! You never told me that! Wait… don’t tell me this whole trip was planned for your anniversary?”

Vikram smirked. “Not exactly… but yeah, that was part of it.”

Pugazh chuckled. “Alright, so what’s the plan?”

“I’ve arranged everything. I’m taking Sana somewhere special, and I need you to inform Mom and Pranitha so they can take care of Sara for the night.”

“That’s it? Easy,” Pugazh said with a grin. “Consider it done.”

“Thanks, man.”

As they returned to the resort, Pugazh quickly informed Amma and Pranitha. Amma smiled knowingly and decided to help Vikram with the surprise.

Later, Amma visited Vikram and Sana’s room.

“Mom, please come in,” Sana welcomed her.

Amma smiled warmly. “Sana, it feels different sleeping alone in a new place. If you don’t mind, shall I take Sara to my room tonight?”

Sana hesitated for a moment before nodding. “Sure, Mom. Just call me if she cries for me.”

“She won’t cry when she’s with me. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of her,” Amma reassured her.

Once Amma left with Sara, Vikram turned to Sana.

“The weather is nice tonight. How about a walk?” he suggested.

Sana eyed him suspiciously. “Why all of a sudden?”

Vikram gasped dramatically. “Wow! Do you seriously question your husband even for a simple night walk? That’s too bad, wifey.”

Rolling her eyes, Sana sighed. “Fine, I’ll change and join you.”

They strolled along the resort’s private pathway, the night air cool against their skin. Vikram listened, utterly enchanted by her chatter. He suddenly stopped behind her and, without warning, gently tied a cloth over her eyes.

“Vikky! What are you doing?” she exclaimed.

“Shhh…” Vikram whispered. “No talking until I say so.”

Before she could protest, he scooped her up in a bridal carry and placed her inside a waiting car. The journey was short, but Sana’s heartbeat raced with anticipation.

When the car stopped, Vikram carried her inside another resort… a place set up just for them.
