Recap: Vikram arrived at the head quarters of Sana groups.
******************
The reporters stationed outside the Sana Groups headquarters were growing restless. Their eyes remained locked on the entrance, fingers ready on camera shutters to capture the next headline-maker. Inside television studios, the business world held its breath, every major investor glued to live coverage. The fate of Sana Groups, one of the twin giants ruling the industry alongside Vikram Groups, was about to be rewritten, and everyone knew the share market would tremble either way.
If Akash succeeded in taking over, Sana Groups’ shares were expected to crash dramatically, offering a windfall opportunity for rival investors. And if that happened, Vikram Groups would easily become the undisputed titan.
An hour passed since Vikram entered the building, yet no word emerged. The reporters outside were growing desperate, some even pacing anxiously. Then suddenly, the entrance burst open. Akash stormed out of the building, his face dark with fury, and headed straight for his car.
The media surged forward like a flood. Cameras flashed. Mics were thrust forward.
Akash’s driver struggled to maneuver the car as the reporters blocked every angle.
“Clear the way!” Akash barked to his security, his patience thinning.
But the media wouldn’t budge. Trapped and fuming, Akash slammed the car door open and stepped out.
“Sir, what happened inside?”
“Are you still the CEO?”
“Why did Vikram go in? Did he stop your takeover?”
The barrage of questions only worsened his mood.
“Move aside! Don’t block my way!” Akash shouted angrily, pushing past them.
And just like that, the news went live, “Akash lashes out at reporters after dramatic fallout inside Sana HQ.”
Two hours earlier…
Inside the grand conference hall of Sana Groups, the atmosphere was charged. The board of directors were on edge, seated in uneasy silence. Vikram entered with Sharath by his side, his phone connected to Pugazh via call. The presence of the Vikram Groups’ head instantly drew every eye. The directors stood up in respect. Without a word, Vikram took the front seat, his sharp gaze fixed straight on Akash.
Akash scowled. “Mr. Vikram, you are not welcomed here.”
Vikram raised an eyebrow, cool and composed. “But I’m supposed to witness the appointment of the new CEO of my father-in-law’s business empire. So none could stop me. Isn’t it?”
Akash clenched his jaw. “Fine, you can sit back and enjoy my day.”
“Go ahead,” Vikram replied calmly.
Akash turned to the board. “Gentlemen, so you are clear with the papers given to you. Hope you don’t have any doubts in those.”
Vikram leaned forward slightly. “What papers? Shall I have a look into it?”
Akash gestured to his PA, who handed over a copy. Vikram skimmed through the documents, his expression unreadable.
“So,” Vikram said at last, “my father-in-law has given you the rights to take his position of CEO in his absence?”
“That’s what the paper says,” Akash snapped.
Vikram suddenly chuckled, drawing confused looks from the room.
“Shut up, Vikram! I don’t have time for your acts. Now leave and let me do my work!” Akash snapped.
“Your work?” Vikram stepped forward. “I’m just wondering… how come Mr. Krishnan, that is, my father-in-law gave you the rights to take the position of CEO of Sana Groups?”
Akash scoffed. “It’s his business and he has the right to appoint anyone as per his wish. He wanted me to take over the business. Maybe he didn’t trust his son-in-law.”
“Is it?” Vikram raised an eyebrow. “How can he give the business to you… when he himself is just an employee, not the owner?”
Gasps and murmurs echoed through the hall. The board was visibly shaken.
“What nonsense! The nation knows he is the king of Sana Groups! Stop your blabbering!” Akash roared.
“Stay out, man. You’re wasting my time,” Vikram shot back sharply.
He strode to the center of the hall, casually brushing past Akash.
“Gentlemen,” Vikram addressed the board, “Mr. Krishnan was just an employee in Sana Groups. He worked as the CEO, yes. But he is not the owner.”
He signaled to Sharath, who stepped forward and began distributing a fresh set of documents to the directors.
“You can go through the files,” Vikram continued. “It clearly states that Mr. Krishnan transferred all his business and properties to his wife after their marriage. Mrs. Krishnan is the legal owner of Sana Groups. The papers you have now include the will of Mrs. Krishnan.”
He nodded to Sharath. “Go ahead.”
Sharath cleared his throat. “Mrs. Krishnan had written her will on her deathbed. As per her wishes, the entire business and properties would legally belong to her daughter, Sahana Krishnan, and her husband after marriage. Since Mr. Vikram is Sahana Krishnan’s husband, he owns equal share in Sana Groups. In short, Mr. Vikram and Mrs. Sahana Vikram are legal and equal shareholders of the entire Sana Groups.”
He looked around, letting the silence stretch.
“This will was kept top-secret,” Sharath added, “considering the threat to Mr. Krishnan’s position and the fact that their daughter was a minor when the will was written. Any doubts?”
Vikram smirked. “They won’t have any doubts. Am I right, gentlemen?”
One of the directors spoke up. “Sir… as per that will, Mr. Krishnan is just an acting CEO of Sana Groups.”
Vikram nodded. “Yes, you are correct.”
Another voice chimed in. “So, are you going to take over Sana Groups? Or will you collaborate it with your business?”
Vikram shook his head. “No. As I’m an equal shareholder along with my wife, I own the rights to appoint the new CEO.”
“Stop your nonsense!” Akash shouted. “Don’t believe him! He’s trying to play tricks!”
Vikram didn’t even glance at him. Instead, he turned to Sharath with a sharp nod. “Sharath, call the lawyer of Mr. Akash.”
In a short while, Akash’s lawyer arrived at the conference hall. The tension was palpable as he was handed the legal papers.
The lawyer skimmed through the documents quickly before raising his head.
“Sir, these papers are original,” he confirmed. “Mr. Vikram and his wife are indeed the legal heirs of Sana Groups.”
One of the directors stood up from his seat, clearly confused. “Where is Mr. Krishnan? He can clear the doubts of Mr. Akash.”
Vikram turned to Akash, a slight smirk playing on his lips. “Akash, tell them. Where is my father-in-law?”
Akash stuttered, “How do I know?”
Vikram chuckled. “Yes, how would you know… Pugazh, get dad here.”
Just then, Rakshat entered the hall escorting Mr. Krishnan. A gasp echoed around the room.
“Sir, where were you?” a director asked in disbelief.
Mr. Krishnan walked forward with an air of calm authority. “Mr. Akash kidnapped me to take this position. But he was least aware of me and my wife’s decisions. The papers given by my son Vikram are genuine. He holds equal rights to appoint a CEO. And I will file a complaint against Akash for kidnapping me.”
All eyes turned to Vikram again. “Vikram sir, whom will you appoint as the new CEO?” one of the directors asked.
Vikram didn’t hesitate. “I’m appointing right away. So gentlemen, put your hands together for the new CEO of Sana Groups, Mrs. Sahana Vikram.”
At that moment, Sana entered the hall, with Pugazh right behind her. She walked confidently to Vikram’s side, and he gave her a proud side hug. Mr. Krishnan embraced his daughter warmly, and Sana hugged him back with emotion.
“Thank you, gentlemen,” Sana addressed the room. “Before I take my responsibility, I need to finish a small work.”
She turned around and walked directly to Akash. Without warning, she slapped him across the face.
“How dare you kidnap my father?” she said through clenched teeth. “Better stay out of our lives. Get out.”
Akash, enraged, raised his hand to retaliate. “I will not spare you “
But before he could lay a finger on her, Vikram grabbed his wrist in midair. Without a word, he dragged Akash out of the hall and shoved him toward the exit.
“Get back to your place,” Vikram said coldly. “I have a surprise for you.”
Fuming, Akash stormed off.
Vikram returned to the hall, his composure intact. “So, gentlemen, let’s welcome our new CEO. Madam, please sign the documents and take charge.”
Sana nodded, took the pen, and signed the official documents. A round of applause followed.
“Thank you, everybody,” Sana began. “I would like to announce the new business head—Mr. Pugazh, my pseudo brother. He was working with Vikram Groups. Now, he will work with me.”
She glanced at Vikram and then addressed the room with firm authority.
“Anna has the report he did on the board members who were loyal and who were backstabbing us. So, we will reorganize the business based on those reports.”
She paused for effect. The silence in the hall was suffocating.
“In short, traitors will be thrown out. Our loyalties will stay with us. Anna will possess the power to restrain or remove anybody from any position in the business.”
She turned to Pugazh. “Anna, you can take charge of the clean-up process.”
Several board members started sweating under the pressure of the immediate and aggressive restructuring.
Vikram watched his wife, pride swelling in his chest. She stood tall, bold, and powerful. Just the way he always believed she was.
Vikram leaned toward Sharath. “Arrange a press meet and give the details to them. We’ll not have any detailed addressing.”
Soon, the press was called in. Cameras flashed as Vikram and Sana stepped out to meet them.
Vikram spoke first, his voice calm but commanding. “Hello, everybody. I’m pleased to introduce the CEO of Sana Groups, Mrs. Sahana Vikram. Further details will be provided by my PA.”
Sana stepped forward, graceful and composed. “Thank you, Vikram. Hi, everyone. I’m happy to take up the business of my father. We’ll catch up later with some fresh business news. Thank you.”
With that, the two of them turned and walked away hand in hand. The power couple were now the talk of the nation.
The entire business clan stood in stunned silence. They would never get over Vikram. And now, with him being a part of Sana Groups, their own shares had plummeted. His dominance was absolute.
As Vikram and Sana drove home in their car, hand in hand, they were ready to celebrate their victorious day together the beginning of a new legacy.
