Chapter 70

Recap: Reyansh and Vaishu are broken and cry unable to face each other.

Vaishu carried Ishaan and Ishika in her arms while Kajal opened the door. Reyansh stood as the door opened wide for the first time in the 48 hours. He shed tears when he saw Vaishu not meeting his eyes and his heart ached to see her broken and shattered state. His lips wobbled to see his muffins after a hell of 48 hours.

Both Ishaan and Ishika showed their hands to Reyansh on seeing him and what shocked everyone was the first word Ishika spoke.

Ishika: Appaaaa

Reyansh broke down taking his muffins in his embrace and crouched on the floor kissing all over their face. Mithun, Kajal and Vaishu were looking at Reyansh and Ishu babies with tears in their eyes.

Ishaan: Appaaaa

Ishika: Appa

Ishaan: paaa

Ishu babies kept chanting the one magical word which swell his heart with happiness and he couldn’t stop the tears from his tears.

Reyansh: Appa engeyum pogala, pogavum matten.. ( Your father is here only. I didn’t left you and I will never leave you )

Ishika: Appa

Vaishu started crying holding her pallu to muffle her sobs and Kajal embraced her in a hug.

Kajal: Did you see them Vaishu ? You four are inseparable and bound together forever. Are you happy to hear their first word ?

Vaishu nodded her head and Kajal smiled at her response.

Kajal: Rey, we need to call the doctor. Ishu babies are having fever.

Reyansh panicked and checked their body and felt them warm. He looked at Mithun who immediately called the doctor to the manor. Vaishu moved from the threshold and taking the cue Reyansh carried his muffins to the room and laid them on the bed but they were still clinging to him. He sat leaning on the bed and held them on his lap and Kajal passed the toys which they started playing showing to Reyansh calling him appa repeatedly. From his peripheral view Reyansh saw Vaishu standing behind Kajal. Her puffed eyes and weak form killed his conscience.

The doctor arrived and checked Ishu babies who were already starting to feel better.

Doctor: Its just a mild fever sir. Don’t worry they will be fine and I can see they are active and happy.

He gave medicines for them and left the manor. Reyansh made them sip the syrup for fever and put them to sleep as they were crying for a long time since they woke up for the day.

Mithun informed Asha to stay with babies and pulled Reyansh to the study and gestured Kajal to get Vaishu to have the conversation.

On reaching the study Reyansh saw Vaishu standing a little away from him. Mithun nodded his head to talk and Reyansh gulped as his throat ached from all the pain he was feeling.

Reyansh: Avi… I.. I.. m sorry. I didn’t knew anything that happened that night. I swear, I don’t remember anything even now. You know me right ? I have been a worst human being but I have never forced myself on anyone, hell how would I force myself on you? I promise Avi, when I saw you that day I didn’t get to see your face but I felt a peace within myself and nothing else. You reminded me of my mother that day and I never had any intention of hurting you.

By now Vaishu was sobbing and stood without speaking a word while Reyansh continued.

Reyansh: No words will justify what I did with you though I was not in my senses. I m ashamed on myself. You know that you and my muffins are my only family. Punish me, hit me, lash out on me. I m ready to get killed from your hands for the sin I committed but remember one thing, my love for you is true, my love for Ishu babies are true. I love you Avi. Please don’t shut me out. It pains Avi and I couldn’t take this pain. It didn’t pain this much when I lost my mother and father but today I feel like I could die but again my soul won’t be at peace if I leave you and our babies alone.

I m sorry Avi. You have been my side when you knew how much of an animal I was. You have been not only my love and wife but you are my best friend with whom I have been myself, you have been my mother and loved me for whom I have been inspite of what I was. I will not feel bad even if you don’t wish to forgive me but please let me by your side without shutting me out.  Today it aches to the extent that I feel pain in every bone of my body. Help me Avi… for one last time. Please I can’t bear this pain and I m helpless.

He knelt before her looking at her like a child looking at its mother pleading to be forgiven. Vaishu remembered the every moment they shared and how much they love each other and their promise to stick together in thick and thins. She didn’t knew if she should forgive him though they were victims equally on that night. She couldn’t accept that it was Reyansh who destroyed her on the night which she thought never came in her life yet which gave her Ishu babies. She couldn’t blame anyone but her fate which only gave pain to everyone in her life.

She had cursed the man whom she assumed to have destroyed until Reyansh entered her life and showed her the true color of happiness and love in every second of her life. Could she curse the man now knowing it is the same man who has given a real meaning to her life ?

 When she had patiently endured all the pains which Jagan and his family gave her then how could she hurt the man who gave her all the love which she yearned in her life. She wasn’t aware what her heart wanted to do at the moment but it only knew that she couldn’t see the man in so much pain whom she love with fibre of her body.

She sobbed loud looking at Reyansh who was trembling out of non stop crying. His pain doubled the pain she felt and she wanted to stop his pain and everything can be fixed later.

Vaishu: Anshhhhh

Reyansh looked into her eyes and felt a pain shooting through his body on seeing the pain in her eyes.  When Vaishu’s trembling hands were about to touch his cheek he started panting and sweating as he remembered Kiran’s words that he forced himself on Vaishu.

Mithun: Rey.. are you alright ?

Vaishu: Ansh..

Before Vaishu could touch him he collapsed on the floor with his nose bleeding. Vaishu screamed crouching by his side. Mithun and Vaishu patted his cheek and Kajal sprinkled water while Vaishu started crying and wiping the blood from his nose with her pallu.

Everything was long forgotten to her after seeing him lying unconscious with bleeding nose. All the fear of losing the only man who loved her clouded her mind and that scared her more than anything. She could fight him, be angry with him but she couldn’t imagine a life without him.

Vaishu: Ansh, I m scared. Please open your eyes. I m sorry Ansh. I m not angry with you. Get up and look at me. Mithun bro, Kajal why is he bleeding from his nose ? Please call the doctor.

Mithun called the doctor who left after checking Ishu babies. Mithun called guards and carried Reyansh to a room and laid him on the bed. Vaishu was rubbing his palm and sole scared to see him in the unconscious state.

Kajal pulled Vaishu when the doctor arrived to check Reyansh. He gave injection to Reyansh which got back his conscious. Vaishu who was all impatient hurried to Reyansh and sat next to him but Reyansh started panicking again when her palm rested on his chest. With a shocked face Vaishu backed off and doctor informed everyone to leave the room to treat Reyansh.

Vaishu leaned on the wall still in shock from the way Reyansh panicked to her touch. 30 minutes later doctor walked out and Mithun was eager to know the condition of Reyansh.

Doctor: He is sleeping now but doing good. He is stressed beyond extreme level and when that happens the blood pressure increases which triggered the nose bleed. The head ache you were mentioning is also due to the extreme stress and pressure building within him. Remember if this repeats then it might cause severe damage to the nerves in his brain that would end losing his life.

Vaishu gasped and Kajal quickly held before she stumbled to the floor.’

Doctor: Also…

Mithun: Also.. come on doc spill it already. I m going mad already.

Doctor: He is traumatised to physical touch and gets panic attack even I tried to touch him.

Vaishu: Its all because of me. Why should I enter his life and cause so many problems for him ? All his sufferings are because of me. I should have not shut him out. I failed him Kajal, I failed my promise to him and our mothers.

Kajal: Vaishu stop blabbering. You are also a victim and in no way you are the reason for his sufferings.

Mithun: How do we cure him ?

Doctor: Give him the tablets I have prescribed. Let him have enough sleep. And give him time to get relieved of the stress and more than that give peace to his mind. He is a strong person and will recover soon.

Mithun hummed and the doctor left giving the details of the tablets that has to be given to Reyansh. Mithun patted Vaishu’s head as she looked at him mumbling sorry.

Mithun: Calm down Vaishu and don’t be sorry for anything that happened to Rey. I know this is too much to ask at this moment when you are hurt more than Rey but please have some patience and stay by him. Did you hear the doctor ? Rey wanted peace and that peace is you and his muffins. Stay by him until he recovers and later we will do anything you wish.

Vaishu nodded her head and they entered the room and saw Reyansh deep in sleep.

Mithun: He hasn’t ate or slept even a wink in these 48 hours. He refused to have even a sip of water and waited by the door to see you and Ishu babies.

Vaishu sat next to Reyansh that he was deep in sleep and slowly touched his cheek.

Vaishu Mv: I m sorry Ansh. Please wake up. We will heal and get out of this together. We don’t deserve this.

Kajal: Vaishu stay by his side and give him the support. He will get back to his own self with time. We are here with you.

Vaishu nodded her head and they walked out leaving the couple.

Vaishu: I can’t see you like this Ansh. Why has fate been always cruel to us ? Why can’t we live a peaceful life ? How do we come out of this ? How am I going to help you when I m helpless too ?

She moved away and sat on the couch scared he might wake up and get another panic attack. He woke up by evening and groaned opening his eyes. Vaishu rushed to help him sit forgetting everything in an instance but stopped without touching him. Reyansh saw Vaishu who was smiling at him which made him sigh a little in relief.

Reyansh: Avi…

Vaishu: shhh Ansh, calm down. Don’t stress and listen to me now. I m sorry Ansh, I failed to keep up my promise. I m sorry for shutting you out. Forgive me for keeping Ishu and Ishi from you but that was not intentional Ansh. Please forgive me. I .. I don’t know …

Reyansh: You kept your promise Avi. You didn’t leave me instead you wanted time and you stayed in our room with our babies. If someone has to be sorry then it is me.

Vaishu: Enough Ansh. I won’t say that I m not hurt even we were only victims and that I lost myself in that state. Yes I m hurt and it aches to even think of it. Lets get heal out of this together Ansh. We promised to stay together and we will get through this too.

Reyansh: Don’t forgive me so easily Avi. I don’t deserve that.

Vaishu: Can we not talk about that now ? Please Ansh. You need rest so calm down.

Reyansh nodded his head still his guilt eating him up. Vaishu hid her pain and smiled wiping her tears.

Reyansh: Avi, muffins.. they are mine Avi.. my son and daughter. They called me appa..

He smiled reminiscing that moment and tears escaped his eyes.

Vaishu: Are you happy ? You were always curious to know their first word and it was you they called first.

Reyansh: Are you not feeling bad they called me first ?

Vaishu: How will I when it was me who taught them that only word ?

Reyansh looked at her amazed for a moment and quickly averted his gaze.

Vaishu: I know nothing in this world could give you the happiness than Ishu babies calling you appa and that too if that was their first word so everyday I taught them to pronounce the word appa showing your photo to them. I m so happy as much you are Ansh.

Reyansh: Thank you Avi… for everything. I m not sure if I hold the same place in your heart anymore but I will work to earn it. I will accept any punishment you give me but just let me stay by you and our babies… our babies Avi. Please. I promise to do anything you say. I never go back on my promise Avi.

Vaishu: If wanted do something get better and out of all the stress that has taken a toll on your health, everything else can wait. Fate gas always been cruel to us and I believe that we will come across this too. I will get you food now. Mithun bro said you haven’t has anything since two days.

Reyansh: Did you you have ?

Vaishu cast her eyes to the floor and shook her head.

Reyansh: How do you expect me to have when you are starving ? Please don’t hurt yourself in any way Avi. I can bear anything but not the pain in your eyes. It kills me badly. Please Avi.. I m .. sorry..I m sorry.

Vaishu: I will get food for both of us and later I will get Ishaan and Ishika to you. Kajal called me and said that they had not stopped calling you since they had woke up.

Vaishu opened the door to leave but stopped turning to him who was already looking at her but averted his gaze unable to meet her eyes.

Vaishu left quickly and returned holding a tray and placed it on the bed next to him. For a moment she forgot everything and took a morsel to feed him like she used to do when they were in the room but retracted her hands when she saw Reyansh feeling anxiety.

Vaishu: I m sorry Ansh.. Relax please I won’t touch you. Here have it yourself please or shall I call Mithun bro.

Reyansh saw the hurt in her eyes and mumbled sorry wiping the tears from his eyes with the back of his palm. He took breathes trying to calm down and felt better soon.

Vaishu: Stop saying sorry Ansh. Its ok we will get well soon. Just remember that I can’t see you like this. We all want our Ansh back. The strong, unstoppable, fearless and most of all my Ansh who never fails to show his love and care for us. You are my pride Ansh. We know this is not something easy for both of us to get over so quickly but we have a lifetime and this shall too pass. My Ansh is strong and he will get back to his old self soon.

Though she said the last sentence not looking at him he felt a relief wash through him that things will be back to normal between them with time.

She started eating from her plate and gestured him to eat. Nodding his head he too started eating slowly stealing glances at Vaishu. Reyansh returned to their room and Vaishu called Mithun to get Ishu babies from the playroom.

As soon Mithun entered the room Ishika started calling Appa looking at Reyansh which made him smile wide. Ishaan and Ishika crawled to him and he hugged them to his embrace and looked at Vaishu who stood next to Mithun smiling at them.

Ishaan/Ishika: Appa

They couldn’t control their excitement and stood on his lap holding his collar and smiling at him talking to him. When he kissed them they licked on his cheek in return giving him his kissy.

This was his family, his love and his muffins and no matter what he knew they will stick together forever and their love will give all the strength to fight anything or anyone and more than that he knew their love will sure heal them.

A/N:

Reyansh had poured out his heart to Vaishu but she is yet to confess what she feel in all these. As of now all she wanted is to support him and stand by him for him to recover. Her confessions about if she had forgiven him will happen at a right time but very soon. Right now lets get ready to see how will Vaishu keep Reyansh from all the stress of his business, elections, the illegal diamonds and the pain of being away from each other inspite of staying in the same room and many more.

Will Reyansh get over his guilt and stress to fix everything between him and Vaishu ? And will Vaishu be the rock support to Reyansh the way he had been for her ? Answers in the upcoming chapters.
