Chapter 75

Recap: Vaishu share her plan with Mithun and later she vent out all her emotions to him.

Two days later:

Vaishu was in the pooja room and Mithun was waiting for her to complete the pooja.

Vaishu Mv: God, I don’t know if my plans would give the results that we wanted but I trust you even after all that happened in my life. All I ask you is don’t punish Reyansh and if you do then the guilt that it all happened because of my bad luck will kill me forever. I can’t see him breaking anymore and I have no more strength left in me to fight for myself. Please have mercy up on us and give us light in our life for a new beginning with results of this election.

She walked out and saw Mithun waiting for her. Passing a smile to him they reached the living together.

Mithun: Vaishu, the post we uploaded on your and Reyansh’s social media account had created a havoc and people have started making stories linking everything. I m sure the result will be as we expected though there is also a controversial argument that celebrities should be responsible in their acts during the election.

Vaishu: We said what happened at our manor and it was not any story. It was the raid which happened from ED so what is our fault is letting the public know that there was a raid and we came out clean out of it. Aren’t they suppose to question ED for carrying out a secret raid at midnight ? Also it wasn’t our fault that our hackers outsmart them and deactivated the jammers and everything was recorded with the cameras installed in our manor.

Mithun: You are right. You know ? Ishu babies have become talk of the country. Their social media account has reached so many million followers over night and the comments confirm that people got the message from us. Lavanya has gone hiding herself in her guest house at Goa.

Vaishu: Actual drama will be tonight. Lets go call Reyansh and leave now. Inform Lakshman to get the Innova ready to take us. Also inform him to track the celebrities whom we have arranged for this day. We need confirmation if they have done their work else we need to find alternate way.

Mithun did as she said and together they reached the room and saw Reyansh was ready in a track and T shirt.

Reyansh: Where are we going so early today ?

Mithun: Did you lose your memory Rey ? Don’t you remember about election around this week. It is today and we are leaving to cast our vote. Also for security reason we will go there as ordinary people so we have dressed like this and also wear the mask and coolers.

Vaishu: We are leaving in Innova. You will not remove the mask or coolers until we return home. I don’t want any media attention Reyansh.

Reyansh: As you say Vaishu. I m ready then.

Vaishu smiled and they left to the venue and stood in the queue. Vaishu even stopped the guards from following them and also since it was early time of the polling there was no doubt about their identity.

When they returned they clicked their photo and Mithun uploaded them on social media accounts.

Vaishu: Reyansh, will you take care of Ishu babies for some time. I feel sleepy since I got up early morning to do pooja.

Reyansh: Sure Vaishu. Go have a tight sleep and I will take care of muffins in the play room.

She nodded her head and hurried back to the room locking the door behind. She turned on the TV with low volume and watched the breaking news of the celebrities casting their vote. She also had social media accounts open to have a track of their plans.

Lakshman, Mithun and PR team were on call with Vaishu as they started monitoring every step of their plans being executed.

Mithun: Vaishu, actress from Jharkhand has not casted her vote yet. All others have done their work.

Vaishu: Good let go of her and don’t involve in her business anymore. I never dreamt that I would be manipulating people to work in my favour.

Mithun: Its all worth Vaishu. Don’t think this as manipulation. I spoke to Kajal’s father and the head of the party. They will do everything that we say for the betterment of the people. You can do everything that you wanted to do for the people through our trust. Also they will support you in every way for your ideas to create employment opportunities.

Vaishu: What if they back of later ?

Mithun: I don’t think they will do that. Everyone are stunned with the way you have made the moves.

Vaishu: I need to talk to Kajal’s father if they win this elections. Now lets not give any doubts to Reyansh so you better go to him and keep him company.

Mithun chuckled and cut the call joining Reyansh in the play room. Reyansh was combing Ishika’s hair and she was playing with her bunny plush pinching its nose.

Mithun: How do you feel Rey ?

Reyansh: Mithun, how did you get our DNA’s tested ?

Mithun: Do you remember once I said I see your resemblance in Ishaan ?

Reyansh nodded still continuing his work while Mithun continued.

Mithun: I didn’t thought of it seriously but later Kajal too said the same. And on your reception Kajal’s father too said that. I was foolish and thought Kajal might have shared her thought to him but the day when that bastard and his family left was the day I got serious about it. That old witch said the same to her husband that Ishaan look like you. I started my investigation and the first thing I got to know was Vaishu and you were in Maldives the same day on your birthday. I didn’t want to let go of this and collected your hair and Ishu babies hair. I requested our doctor to do the test and I got the report on the day of the party.

Reyansh: Though I too felt that, I didn’t think much of it because I was sure I haven’t met Vaishu and least is forcing myself on her. Also it didn’t matter if he looked like me or not because I considered them as my babies only.

Mithun: Are you feeling good now Rey ? How about you contact a therapist or engage yourself in yoga and meditation ? It will help you a lot.

Reyansh: I m trying Mithun. Vaishu doesn’t let me touch my mobile or laptop. Also initially I thought of doing what you said now but she rejected the idea and she is right in a way. I might have to reveal everything to the person who will treat me and we both are not ready for it. Also now I realise why she didn’t want me to do that. Look now spending time with my son and daughter takes away all my stress and I feel so calm with them.

Mithun: I m so happy for Rey. Vaishu is a blessing in your life.

Reyansh: She is my angel.

Ishi: Appa..

Ishika’s voice broke his trance and he saw she had pulled out the sunflower hairband from her pig tail and holding it in her hand looking at her father with a cute smile. Reyansh chuckled and poked her dimples as he again tried to tie her hair.

Mithun: She got dimples like you Rey and the bond between you three was spontaneous. you three were attracted like a magnet and felt the bond naturally. You need to get over this son Rey. Don’t let this guilt take over you completely.

Reyansh: You could all praise me now Mithun and its easy to be said then done. the guilt which you are saying is not only about that night. None will understand the guilt that is killing me. Its not just about one night but guilt of a whole one year.

Mithun: Rey, what are you saying ?

Reyansh: Do you know what happened to Vaishu after that night ?  Vaishu has shared everything with me. She suffered alone during her pregnancy.  Just imagine Mithun, Vaishu was carrying twins and she was starved most of the days. The maids had fed her in secret. She has cried over back pain, unable to stand, sit, bath and she had so much difficult to even walk when her feet were swollen still she was made to work like a maid but was I doing ? I was whoring around when she suffered alone with our babies. Do you think it is easy to get over of this guilt ?

Do you know what terrifies me the most to even think ? what if I had not met her that night ? what would have happened to my Vaishu and my muffins ? This thought alone scared the shit out of me Mithun and keeps killing me. I truly believe in god now. I have no argument to deny it because he got me my Vaishu and muffins to me.

Mithun: I m really sorry Rey. I didn’t realize all these so far and I can understand its not east for you. You also need to understand that it wasn’t your fault completely. But did you realize the destiny’s play ? You met her atleast before it was too late for both of you. You were the first to carry them in your arms. You have seen all their first time Rey. You have cherished them and Vaishu. Ohh I forgot to share the video when Ishika called you appa for the first time.

Reyansh: Is it ? share it to me please I will watch it once I get my mobile back from Vaishu. But how did you record it ?

Mithun: Not me. Kajal did that to show Vaishu how much Ishu babies need you in their life in case Vaishu refused to meet you but god’s grace nothing happened like I feared.

Reyansh: My mother would be happy because she will not have to worry about me anymore because Vaishu is here to take care of me and love me. Mithun, tell me was there any problem regarding the elections ? Did you take care of everything ? I can see Vaishu is stressed a lot lately.

Mithun: I have taken care of everything Rey and Vaishu must be missing you so you don’t worry about business or politics just focus on your life and Vaishu. Don’t make her wait too long.

Mithun Mv: When you get to know that it was Vaishu who has handled everything then you will be proud of her.

Reyansh: Did you talk to the Nigerian client ? We should ..

Vaishu: Did I do a mistake by letting you two stay in one place ? Mithun bro ?

Mithun: No Vaishu, I never spoke about business. It was him who just started but when did you arrive ?

Mithun Mv: Did she hear all our conversations ?

Vaishu: I m just entering the room. Why did I miss something ?

Mithun: Yes, we were planning to have games night. Its been long.

Vaishu: No, Mithun bro. Reyansh has to take his medicines and he cannot be awake late night skipping his sleep. Also Reyansh didn’t I tell you not to get in to business until I let you ? Next time you go against my words then the consequences will be bad. I will have you locked in the room forever and I will ban you from meeting Mithun bro.

Reyansh: No angel, I won’t do anything which you won’t like.

Vaishu: Good, come lets have lunch. I m starving like I have not eaten for days.

Reyansh: Shall I cook dinner for you Vaishu ? Only if you let me ?

Vaishu: If that makes you feel good then I m not stopping you but only for today.

Reyansh smiled and they reached the dining and had lunch chatting about Ishu babies.

At night Vaishu waited until Reyansh fell asleep due to the effects of the tablets and once she was sure of him sleeping she got dressed in a crisp cotton saree and braided her hair neatly before she left the room.

Vaishu entered the study and saw Mithun and Lakshman waiting for her.

Vaishu: Mithun bro, I m ready. Now record my video and I will tell you what has to be done with that.

Mithun: I won’t question you Vaishu. You are best in your planning so I will just follow your orders.

Mithun showed his thumb and started recording. Vaishu folded her palms with a smile as greeting.

Vaishu: Vanakkam, Namaste to everyone of you are watching this. We have been responsible enough to not release this video before the polling which might have caused a havoc across the country and even changes in the result of the election. If businessman like Reyansh Badrinath has to face such cruelty for doing genuine business adding to the economical growth of the country and working for the welfare of the people in need through his trust then what could happen to a commoner ? I m much concerned about the safety of the children with the woman who has been charged of child trafficking is out safe under political wings. I hope now the concern department will be responsible enough to act on this video. Jai Hind.

Mithun cut the video and Vaishu checked it once before she returned it to him.

Vaishu: Mithun bro, cut the clip of that old man and Lavanya threatening us from the CCTV footage and merge my speech to its end. Upload this on all our social media account. Send copies to press and media. They dared to enter Rey’s manor and threaten us so we shall show them whom did they mess with. Peace night and bright morning for us.

Lakshman: Hell to them

Mithun: And we are the devils …
