Chapter 1

A mass crowd from press and media with cameraman was present before the three storey building BM Arcades owned by Reyansh. He carried out all his business operation from BM arcade though there were many other offices where he had his employees to handles his each and every business.

A few police were present at the gate to stop them from entering the building and trying to get in touch with any of them to know what was happening behind the closed doors of the office since two days.

The news were all over that Income tax officers were still on their duty to complete their work and release their findings from the raid. One of the officers knocked on the door of the Reyansh’s room and was opened by his best friend Mithun with a not so friendly smile.

Mithun: Hello officer, good you came on yourself. Briyani for me and creamy mushroom pasta for my friend. No need for dessert juts a coke for both of will do. We had a light lunch and its already too late for dinner so get it quickly.

Officer: Mr. Mithun, we have finished our task and need Mr. Reyansh’s sign on the documents.

Mithun: Oh I see. You got us locked here at office for 2 days so I thought you will take couple of more days to finish your raid. No problem come inside and issue the paper so we could celebrate our freedom.

Mithun opened the door wide and the officer entered inside. He saw a Reyansh laid on the couch shirtless and sleeping with one arm covering his eyes even when all the lights were off.

Mithun switched on the lights and patted Reyansh’s shoulder to wake him. After a few pats Reyansh removed his arm and sat up stretching his arms and legs. He wore the shirt Mithun passed to him and sat comfortably leaning back on the couch  and his one leg over the knee of the other.

Mithun: Rey, he is waiting for your sign..

Reyansh: What are the findings ?

Officer: Nothing is out of record. We got papers for all the income and expenditures. Sorry to disturb you but we had to do our duty. There was a anonymous call that the diamonds in your store are illegal.

Reyansh: I do business not smuggling. My customer are my top priority and I will never do anything illegal and put my customer in trouble. Every diamond in my stores are pure as me. I hope your officers has made their exit from my showrooms ?

Officer: Yes, you may sign this document and you will be free to carry on with you routine works.

Mithun: Please make sure there is a clear cut message from you immediately to clear the chaos you have created to our business in the name of raid. It may take weeks or month for us to settle back into normal business now.

Officer: Its our duty.

Reyansh took the paper from him and went through it completely before he signed it.

Reyansh: If you are done with your duty please make your way out.

He stood by the window with his hands in his pocket and saw the officer exiting the building one by one and the media swarming them for details.

Reyansh: Mithun, inform our PR team to release a statement on what happened in the two days. Rey’s Diamonds should start its business as usual within 2 days. Call for all the staffs to work day and night to set everything in place.

Mithun: Who do you think would have given the information to Income tax ?

Reyansh: Will know soon. Now lets go home and I fucking need fresh air after being locked up in this room for 2 days.

Mithun chuckled and wrapped the things to leave but stopped turning completely towards Reyansh.

Mithun: I m wondering how it would have been if Lavanya was locked in this building for the past 2 days ?

Reyansh: What the hell Mithun ? She would have sucked me dry and may be you would have got a chance then. Give a try she is hinting on you too for a long time.

Mithun: Yuck… who knows how many men she is going behind and I will never get into someone like her. Why do you get along with her knowing clearly that she is a roaming STD ? I have been asking this since the day you let her in your personal space. I need answers today atleast Rey.

Reyansh: An arrangement. She needs some one like me wealthy, popular and handsome. I  use her to get her father to work for me. How do you think we got the information about the raid the moment it was planned ? Her father being one of the advisors in the country’s finance department has his own link in the income tax department.

Mithun: You are with her just to save the business ?

Reyansh: Not just business Mithun. The diamonds which we saved from the raid cost 20,000 crore. You wanted to give it to them just like that ?

Mithun: How long will this go on ?

Reyansh: I got information that the central government is keen on getting into businessmen like us for their benefit. I need her until either we sell all the diamonds in our hand or until the threat is clear from our way.

Mithun: Are you scared ? The great Reyansh Badrinath is scared of the government ?

Reyansh: I m not scared but I m fucking not ready to give my money to those leeches. Rather I would throw my money down into the streets for the people to grab for their welfare.

Mithun: For whom are you earning all these money Rey ? Why not we do genuine business and you don’t need woman like Lavanya in your life. I hate to be in the same space around her and feel like I will puke to the smell of her perfume.

Reyansh: Your tolerance level is so down in that case.

Mithun: What if you get STD ? By any chance will you fall in love with her ?

Reyansh: I never go raw with her. Not only her I have never been raw with anyone so far. About love, you know its not my cup of tea. She knows very well that this a casual fling and nothing else. I made very clear that I don’t do commitments so don’t worry about her too much and just focus on our business.

Mithun: She is portraying herself as your girlfriend Rey. I m worried for you so please don’t get her in your life.

Reyansh: Let it be so that she will make sure no girl comes in my way. Shall we leave before she is here knowing that the raid is over ?

Mithun: Wish I knew some magic and I could get an angel in your way when you drive home.

Reyansh: Angel at this hours of time ? Pray there won’t be any witch crossing my path. I can’t handle more than one witch at a time.

Mithun: What if angel cross your path at this time ? Will you marry her and get settled and live a life which you always wanted ? don’t tell me all nonsense reasons of being single all your life. I know you wanted someone to care for you, love you and wait for you when you return home. A family which you wanted, will you start a family with her ?

Reyansh: Have you made any plans to arrange someone in my life ?

Mithun: No man.. but I wanted someone in your life. Something in me says that my wish will come true so tell me. Will you marry if an angel cross your path ?

Reyansh: Kaal la vizhundhu enna kalyanam pannika solren. Kadaisi vara ava oruthi kooda mattum life spend panren. Avala thavira vera yaraiyum pakka kooda matten promise podhuma?     ( I will fall at her feet and ask her to marry me. I will spend all my life only with her. I will never even look at someone other than her. Promise . Enough .. ???)

Mithun: How nice to hear ? I will pray the god to send someone who will make you dance around her finger. I will become her best friend and support her in every way. I don’t have to handle your flings anymore.

Reyansh: I m leaving without you and you sit here and dream about my life which will remain only a dream.

Mithun: My mom has been calling for a long time so today I will go meet her. Will meet you tomorrow wherever you want. Message me if its office or home. Also don’t call me home if that witch will be there with you. Now wish me good luck for my dream to come true.

Reyansh shook his head and walked out holding his blazer in his hand. He left the office in his car from the back exit to avoid any media disturbances. He lowered the glass and let the cool air embrace his face.

Reyansh: God ? Is there someone like that ? If he was real then he would have not taken my parents from me in that flight crash. If he was real then he would have given me an angel who will love me and I will crash in to her arms leaving all my worries outside when I enter my home… she would have been my home. When all this didn’t happen then where comes that someone “god”.

The road was deserted as it was too late and he sighed in irritation to drive to the empty home once again. Suddenly his mind screamed at him.

Reyansh Mv: Empty home is better than company with Lavanya.

His mobile pinged with a notification. He was about turn to get the mobile but stopped when he saw someone crossing the road all of sudden. He managed to stop the car still the person was hit by his car. Reyansh got down from the car to check on the person and froze on seeing the sight in front of him.

A girl was on the road with her forehead bleeding. Reyansh crouched to her lost in those captivating eyes that held nothing but pain. Those eyes pierced through his soul and his heart wanted him to protect her. He didn’t knew what was happening to him and he felt a tug in his heart and his hands trembled as he touched her forehead.

Her shivering hands reached to his face and the tip of her fingers touched his cheek breaking his trance. He heard a painful whisper from her lips ” help ” and the tears rolled from her eyes as she lost her conscious. For the first time he felt his heart skip a beat for someone and he held her hand that was touching his cheek from dropping down.

” Did Mithun’s wish really come true ? Did Reyansh find the angel of his life and will he hold her hands forever ?”
