Recap: Priyanka take the wounded child for firs aid.

****************

Priyanka entered the office room, carrying a small child in her arms. Vikram stood nearby, speaking with the assistant. The caretaker was nowhere to be seen.

“Hello, brother,” Priyanka called out to the assistant. “This kid is hurt. Can you please aid his wound?”

The assistant’s eyes widened in concern. “Oh my god! Let me take care of him.”

He immediately took the child for first aid, leaving Priyanka standing alone. Vikram turned to her but remained silent. She offered him a polite greeting, and he responded with a nod.

“Hi,” she said. “What are you doing here?”

“I just came to spend time with the kids,” Vikram replied. “What about you?”

“I come here every year on this day.”

“Oh, that’s good to know,” he said, checking his watch. “Time for me to leave. Bye.”

Meanwhile, Sahana was playing with the children when a strange feeling swept over her. It was the same emotion she had felt that morning, just before she met Vikram. The sensation was overwhelming, yet she couldn’t find the words to describe it.

Priyanka returned to her. “Priya,” Sahana murmured, “I feel the same as I did this morning. I don’t know why, but my emotions are overwhelming me. I feel like Vikram is very close to me.”

Priyanka blinked, momentarily stunned, before letting out a nervous laugh. “Come on, Sana. Stop kidding. Why would he be here?”

Sahana hesitated. “You’re right, but… I don’t know. Something is happening to me. Ignore me. I’m not even sure of it myself.”

Vikram’s POV:

I reached the orphanage and spoke to the caretaker, asking if I could meet the children. She told me that a girl comes here every year on this day and spends time with them. I didn’t want to disturb her, so I remained in the office room while the caretaker left to take a call.

That’s when I saw her. The same girl I had met at the temple. She said she came here every year. I was amazed people like her still existed in this world?

I left shortly after. But just before reaching the gate, an odd feeling crept up my spine, as if someone close to me was right behind me. I couldn’t understand what was happening since morning, so I simply walked away.

Vikram POV Ends:

That evening, Sahana and the others left the orphanage and returned home. She was unusually happy, her thoughts lost in the events of the day.

Rakshat noticed. “What happened, Sana? You seem lost in thoughts about Vikram.”

“What are you even saying? Nothing like that is happening.”

Rakshat smirked. “But I see somebody is blushing.”

Sahana gasped. “God, I’m getting back to my room.”

Once inside, she sat on her bed, staring at Vikram’s photo on her phone.

“What should I do?” she whispered. “I never thought I’d see you so close. Your perfectly trimmed beard, your masculine cologne… God, why do you torment me like this? When will I see you again?”

At the same time Priyanka sat in her room, lost in thought.

“I’ve never seen a man like him… but what am I doing?” she muttered. Guilt gnawed at her. She had hidden Vikram’s visit from Sana. “But she’s the daughter of a billionaire. She can marry anyone easily. I… I need Vikram. Only then can I live a life like hers.”

Her phone buzzed, snapping her out of her thoughts. An unknown number was calling. She hesitated before answering.

“Hello? Who is this?”

A deep voice responded, “A well-wisher who wants to help you.”

She frowned. “And who are you to help me?”

“A very familiar person to you. I called to talk about Vikram.”

Her breath hitched. “What? What do you have to say about Vikram?”

“I know you’re impressed by him. Don’t you want to have him?”

Priyanka hesitated. “Why do you want to help me?”

“Smart girl. I get my treasure, and you get yours. If you win Vikram, I win something else.”

“What treasure are you after?”

“None of your business. You’ll know when the time is right. Now, do you want my help?”

Priyanka’s fingers tightened around her phone. “How will this happen?”

“If things don’t fall into place, I will make them fall into place for you.”

“I’ll call you to discuss further.”

The voice chuckled. “You won’t reach me. I’ll call you when needed.”

“How do I believe you?”

“Why didn’t you tell Sana about Vikram’s visit to the orphanage?”

Priyanka’s heart pounded. “How do you know that?”

“I have my ways. Just wait for my call. Bye.”

The line went dead. Priyanka sat frozen, her mind racing. Someone knew about her secrets before she could even acknowledge them herself.

“Sorry, Sana,” she whispered. “But I have no other option. I need Vikram. Only then can I have the life I always dreamed of. But first, I need to get rid of Samrat and these unwanted feelings for him. I should keep my distance from him from now on. I can see that he has feelings for me too, but I can’t let that happen.”

Vikram’s Mansion

Vikram entered his home, his shirt in his hand, smeared with sindoor.

Lakshmikanthan eyed him curiously. “Vikram, did you visit the orphanage?”

“Yes, Dad,” Vikram replied. “But today felt different.”

His father smirked. “I can see it on your face. You’re glowing. What’s up?”

“Nothing, Dad. Maybe the fresh air did me good.”

“And what’s with the shirt in your hand?”

Vikram tensed. “Nothing, Dad. I have a call. See you later.”

He hurried off to his room, leaving his father puzzled. Closing the door behind him, he stared at the sindoor on his shirt and blushed.

“Thank God I didn’t tell Dad,” he muttered. “But why did I hide it? What’s happening to me?”

Carefully, he folded the shirt and placed it inside his closet before calling his PA to check on the press meet arrangements. Then, he started getting ready.

Dressed in a magnificent charcoal blazer with a white shirt, a diamond tassel chain brooch pinned to his lapel, and classic black Oxford shoes, he looked like the perfect gentleman. With a final glance in the mirror, he left for the Taj.

Sana’s Mansion

“Everyone, get ready quickly!” Rakshat called.

“Just give me a few minutes!” Sana shouted from her room.

She stood before her mirror, choosing her dress. After much deliberation, she picked a purple satin lehenga, accessorizing with a diamond stud and the platinum chain with a diamond pendant her mother had gifted her. With soft curls and minimal makeup, she let her natural beauty shine.

As she descended the stairs, everyone stared, jaws dropping.

Rakshat smirked. “Wow. If Vikram sees you, he’ll fall in love instantly.”

Sana chuckled. “He’s just a crush. Let’s see if it turns into love. My mom will guide me to my soulmate.”

“Keep saying that. I’ll see how long you last.” Rakshat teased her

Sana rolled her eyes, “We’re getting late. Let’s go.”

With that, they all headed to the Taj—where Vikram was already on his way.
