Recap: Vikram and Sana slept cuddling each other.

*****************************************************

Vikram had always been an early riser. In all these years, he had never slept past eight in the morning. But today was different. His life itself was no longer the same, and for the first time in years, he didn’t want to wake up.

A strange warmth surrounded him — a peaceful sleep he had never experienced before. Even as the sunlight slipped through the curtains and disturbed his rest, he wished to stay exactly where he was.

Slowly opening his eyes, he was greeted by the most beautiful sight he had ever seen in his life.

Sana was sleeping peacefully in the circle of his arm, while his other hand rested protectively on her waist. Her face looked calm, soft, and innocent in sleep. Vikram simply stared at her for a moment, unwilling to move.

But when he glanced at the clock, he knew he had to get up. He wanted to make sure she had something to eat the moment she woke up.

Carefully, without disturbing her much, he slipped his arms away and adjusted the pillow around her comfortably. Leaning down, he pressed gentle kisses on her forehead, cheeks, and finally on her stomach.

“One kiss for our baby,” he whispered softly.

Sana stirred slightly from the ticklish sensation, cuddled the pillow closer, and drifted back to sleep.

Smiling to himself, Vikram freshened up and went downstairs. He prepared breakfast himself and returned upstairs soon after, only to find Sana still sleeping peacefully.

He sat beside her quietly, waiting for her to wake up because he wanted to be the first thing she saw that morning.

After a while, Sana slowly opened her eyes, rubbing them lazily.

Vikram couldn’t even blink as he admired his sleepy morning beauty.

The moment Sana saw him, she tried to get up, but Vikram gently held her shoulders and helped her sit comfortably against the headboard.

“Good morning, wifeyyy,” Vikram said with a grin.

“Good morning, husband,” Sana replied shyly.

“Say that once again.”

“Good morning.”

“I don’t want the good morning part.”

Sana looked at him innocently. “Then what do you want?”

“How did you call me just now?” Vikram asked.

Blushing deeply, she dragged the word playfully. “Good morning, purushaaaaa…”

Vikram immediately pulled her into his arms and showered kisses all over her face.

Sana rested her head against his shoulder while he wrapped his arms around her protectively.

“My whole body feels like I got electrocuted,” Vikram murmured dramatically.

“Really?” she asked, smiling.

“Mmm… I just want to stay like this forever.”

“But I’m hungry.”

“Alright then. Freshen up, and let’s have breakfast.”

“Hmm… okay.”

Sana tried to climb down from the bed, but before her feet could touch the floor, Vikram stopped her and scooped her up into his arms.

“Vikram!” she gasped.

“I’ll always be there for you. You don’t have to strain yourself for anything,” he said softly as he carried her to the washroom.

After she freshened up, Vikram once again carried her downstairs.

The moment Sana noticed the house staff, maids, and a few additional workers around the house, embarrassment washed over her face.

“Vikrameyyyy, put me down! Everyone is watching. I feel shy,” she whispered desperately.

Vikram looked completely unbothered.

“I’m carrying my wife. Who’s going to question me?”

“Ayyo, Vikrameyyyy… this is embarrassing. Please…”

“Don’t mind anyone here,” he replied firmly. “I’m not going to stop caring for you just because others are watching.”

“You never listen to me.”

“Nope. Never.”

He finally placed her gently on the dining chair and sat beside her while serving breakfast.

Sana took a bite and her eyes widened immediately.

“Mmmmm… this food is amazing! Did a new chef join the house?”

Vikram nodded casually. “Yes.”

“Who?”

“His name is Vikram Lakshmikanthan.”

Sana stared at him in shock.

“Whattttt? You cooked this? And that too such delicious South Indian food?”

“Hmmm… yes,” he replied proudly. “Anything for you.”

Sana looked at him with overflowing affection.

“Vikrameyyyy… I love you.”

Vikram smiled warmly and kissed her forehead.

“Love you too, Sana ma.”

Vikram leaned closer and kissed Sana softly on her cheek. Immediately, Sana whined in embarrassment.

“What are you doing? Everyone is here,” she muttered shyly.

“So what?” Vikram replied casually. “I already wasted so many months. Not anymore.”

“What am I even supposed to do with you?” she sighed helplessly.

Smiling, Vikram intertwined his fingers with hers.

“You know how I feel right now? I feel like I’m the happiest man in this entire world.” he asked softly.

Sana smiled warmly. “Me too.”

After finishing breakfast, both of them settled on the couch together. Vikram sat close beside Sana, their shoulders touching comfortably.

A few minutes later, Vikram’s personal assistant entered the house along with a group of bodyguards.

“Good morning, sir,” the PA greeted respectfully.

“Morning, Everything ready?” Vikram asked him.

“All set, sir. These are your bodyguards.” his PA replied.

Vikram nodded once before asking, “What about the details I asked regarding the staff?”

“I mailed all the details to you, sir. Arrangements have also been made for the staff to stay here.”

“Good. You may leave now. Call me only if it’s extremely urgent. And don’t fix any meetings or appointments until I inform you. Strictly no calls unless it’s topmost important.” Vikram said firmly.

“Understood, sir. Everything will be taken care of. I’ll take your leave now.” his PA said and left shortly after.

Sana looked at Vikram curiously.

“Vikky… why have you suddenly made so many arrangements? Is there any problem?”

“Nothing, ma, I’ve just tightened security a little. No specific reason.” he answered calmly.

“Does that mean I have to stay home and not go anywhere?” Sana asked curious.

“Who told you that? You can do whatever you want and go wherever you want. It’s just that I’ll accompany you from now on. That’s all.” Vikram said and Sana looked at him quietly for a moment.

“What if something bad happens?” Sana asked and Vikram’s expression changed instantly. His voice became firm and dangerously calm.

“You know your husband only as a businessman, right? But anyone who dares to come near you with bad intentions will see the worst side of me.” he said and held her hand tighter.

“Sana , you don’t have to worry about anything while I’m here. Even if someone merely thinks about hurting you, they’ll have to walk through hell with me before they can reach you. I’ll make sure you are safe… only after that will I give up my life.” Vikram said and Sana immediately frowned hearing his words.

“Why are you talking like that? Nothing will happen to us.” Sana said and Vikram softened instantly.

“Alright, leave it, now tell me, what plans did you have?” he asked gently.

“Nothing much. I was thinking of meeting dad tomorrow.”

“Simple then. We’ll go meet him.” he said and after a pause, Vikram suddenly asked, “Where are your tablets? Let me get them.”

Before Sana could even stand, Vikram lifted her into his arms again and carried her upstairs. Sana laughed helplessly.

“Are you going to keep carrying me around like this everywhere?” Sana asked pinching his cheek.

“Why? Don’t you like it?” Vikram asked her.

“I never said I don’t.” Sana replied with a wink.

“Good, because I love carrying you. So let me do it. When is your next check-up? I’ll accompany you this time.” Vikram said with a smile.

Sana smiled lovingly. “I love you.”

“I love you to the moon and back,” Vikram replied instantly. “There’s still so much I want to talk to you about.”

Once inside the room, both of them settled comfortably on the couch. Vikram handed her the tablets and watched until she took them.

“Now tell me, Why do you like me so much? Since when?” he asked softly.

Sana smiled shyly before answering.

“Actually, dad used to talk a lot about you. Back then I really wanted to meet you, but I never got a chance because I was busy with studies. But the first time I saw you in an interview… I was completely gone. Your brown magnetic eyes… I could literally starve just looking at them. Your well-trimmed beard, perfectly styled hair, that striped blazer. God, I still can’t get over that look.” she said and Vikram laughed softly while she continued.

“And most importantly… your height. Five eleven. That’s exactly my dream-boy qualification.” Sana said and Vikram immediately raised an eyebrow.

“Everything else is okay. But what’s this special obsession with five eleven height?” he asked and Sana grinned innocently.

“Because when I hug you… I can hear your heartbeat perfectly.” she said and Vikram’s eyes softened instantly.

“Then why don’t you hug me now?” he asked.

Without hesitation, Sana wrapped her arms around him and rested her head against his chest, closing her eyes peacefully as she listened to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

“Can you hear it?” he whispered.

“Hmmm…”

“How does it feel?”

“I feel safe… warm… comfortable. Honestly, when I hug you, it feels like I’m home. You know… I heard your heartbeat that day too. When we fell hugging each other in the hotel backyard.” she murmured softly.

“Sana “,  Vikram whispered emotionally.

“Hmmmm…”

“My love…”

“Hmmmm…”

“Ammu…”

“Hmmm… tell me.”

Vikram gently lifted her chin and looked into her eyes deeply.

“You are my angel… my love… my sweetheart… my sunshine… my love bug… my precious girl… . You are my everything.” he said and Sana blinked adorably.

She cupped his face lovingly.

“I love you so much, my cutie pie, buttercup, choco pie, muffin, macaron…”

Vikram stared at her in disbelief.

“Why are all your nicknames food items?”

Sana pouted immediately. “Because I’m hungry.”

Vikram laughed helplessly. “Wait. I’ll get you something to eat.”

He slowly stood up to leave, but before he could move away, Sana caught his wrist.

“What is it, ammu?” he asked.

Sana looked up at him lovingly. “You are my handsome… my prince charming… my knight in shining armor… you are the oxygen I breathe.”

Her eyes sparkled as she smiled shyly.

“I love you da, mama.”

Vikram froze completely. “Hey… hey… what did you just call me?”

Sana instantly acted innocent.

“I didn’t say anything.”

“Please, ammu…” he pleaded dramatically.

Sana giggled before wrapping her arms around his neck.

“I love you da mamaaaaaaa…”
