Recap: Vikram proposed Sana on her birthday.

————————————-

Morning light streamed through the windows as Vikram and Sana woke up, stepping out into the garden for a refreshing walk. Inside, Amudha Amma was busy preparing breakfast for Sana, calling out to them as she reminded them of their doctor’s appointment.

After getting ready, Vikram and Sana made their way to the dining hall, where Pugazh and Pranitha greeted them warmly, pleased to see the couple together. Outside, the guards were already in position, prepared to accompany them to the hospital.

“I think it’s time for us to leave. Shall we, wifey?” Vikram asked with a smile.

“Sure, Vikram. Let me get my file,” Sana replied, turning towards their room.

Before she could move, Vikram stopped her. “I’ll get it,” he said, hurrying to their room. He searched for the file in her closet and, upon finding it, his eyes softened as he flipped through the scan reports. His throat tightened with emotion as he gazed at the images of their baby. Swallowing hard, he took the file and headed downstairs.

“I got the file. Let’s leave now,” he said, slipping his hand into Sana’s as they walked out.

The couple got into the car, their convoy of guards ensuring their security. The paparazzi, excited to see them together, followed closely, cameras flashing. The guards did their best to divert them, but upon reaching the hospital, Vikram surprised everyone. Wrapping his arm protectively around Sana’s waist, he waved to the cameras. The power couple stood briefly for their clicks before Vikram dismissed the reporters, promising to speak later.

At the hospital entrance, the chief doctors and PRO arrived to receive Vikram and Sana personally, guiding them directly to the doctor’s cabin. As Sana had entered her final trimester, the doctor took her for a scan to check the baby’s position. Vikram accompanied her, his grip firm on her hand.

The doctor applied gel to her abdomen and began scanning. The monitor was turned towards Vikram. As the image of their fully grown baby appeared on the screen, Vikram felt his chest tighten. His eyes shimmered with tears as he squeezed Sana’s hand.

Once the scan was complete, Vikram helped Sana down, and they returned to the doctor’s cabin.

“Sana, it’s good to see improvement in your vitals,” the doctor said. “The baby has also gained weight.”

“Thank you, doctor. My husband takes good care of me,” Sana replied, smiling at Vikram.

“When is she due, doctor?” Vikram asked, concern laced in his voice.

“She will likely go into labor within a month, maybe after 20 days. We will monitor her closely. Mrs. Vikram, eat healthy, walk regularly, and continue your medications. If you feel any discomfort, call me immediately.”

Sana thanked the doctor before stepping outside, where she noticed a different car waiting for them.

“I don’t remember arriving in this car. Did we?” she asked Vikram, puzzled.

“Yeah, I sent the driver to the office to deliver some important files. So we have a different one now. Shall we?” he replied.

“Vikky, can we stop by the ice cream parlor before going home?”

“Anything for my love.”

At his signal, the driver took a detour to the ice cream parlor. Before they could enter, the guards checked the premises. Once inside, Vikram pulled out a chair for Sana.

“Tell me, what flavor do you want, love?”

“Blackcurrant with toppings, chocolate with chips, and butterscotch with honey,” Sana listed eagerly.

“Sana? Did you forget what the doctor said?” Vikram chided gently.

“Please, Vikram, just for today,” she pleaded with puppy eyes.

“No love, it’s not good for you and the baby. Have one now, and I’ll get you another tomorrow.”

“You are so cruel,” she pouted.

Vikram leaned closer, his voice deep. “Please, baby, don’t be upset. Won’t you listen to me?”

Sana sighed. “He always knows how to get things done with me.”

Vikram smiled and ordered blackcurrant for both of them. Sana ate like a child, savoring each bite.

“It’s been a long time since I had ice cream,” she murmured, delighted.

“I’ll let you eat as much as you want once our baby is born,” Vikram promised.

Noticing cream on her lips and cheeks, he chuckled. “You eat like a kid. Look at you, all messy.”

Sana tried wiping it off, but Vikram held her hand, leaning in. Her heart skipped a beat.

“Vikram, what are you doing?” she asked, flustered.

“You’re tempting me, beautiful.”

“Shut up! We’re not at home, so stay away,” she scolded.

Laughing, Vikram wiped her face with tissues before they left for home.

Back at Vikram Mansion, Amudha Amma greeted them eagerly. “Sana, what did the doctor say? Is everything okay?”

“Yes, Mom. Everything is fine. Less than a month, and our baby will be born.”

“That’s wonderful! Let me get fresh juice for you.”

“No, Mom, please. I just had ice cream, so I’ll have it later.”

“You had ice cream?” Amudha frowned. “Sana, no more ice cream until the baby is born!”

Vikram smirked. “You heard that, wifey?”

Pugazh joined in. “My sister will listen only to me. Sana, no more ice cream for a month.”

“Sure, bro. Now, where is Pranitha sister?”

Pugazh crossed his arms. “You call me brother, so don’t you think you should be calling her ‘sister-in-law’?”

“Done! Where’s my sister-in-law?” Sana grinned.

Pranitha entered the room just then, greeting Sana warmly.

Amudha Amma spoke up. “Vikram, since we have little time, we should arrange Sana’s baby shower. How about next week?”

“Let’s do it, Mom. Tell me what’s needed, and I’ll inform my PA. We’ll get the best arrangements.”

“I’ll talk to Sana’s father first. Later, I’ll give you the list.”

Vikram called Krishnan. “Dad, we’re planning Sana’s baby shower this weekend.”

“I’m so happy, Vikram! I’ll handle the arrangements from my side.”

“No, Dad. Just send me the guest list; I’ll handle everything else.”

“Alright. I’ll send Rakshat to assist you.”

“Perfect.”

By evening, Rakshat arrived. Vikram introduced him to the family before they moved to his study to discuss arrangements.

“Vikram, is this baby shower really necessary now? It’s not safe,” Rakshat voiced his concern.

“I don’t want to deny any happiness to Sana. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of security.”

“Fine. Dad’s given me the guest list—only close relatives.”

“No one enters our home. We’ll do it at our resort.”

“Then I’ll arrange their stay at a nearby hotel,” Rakshat suggested.

Pugazh added, “Good plan. Vikram, reserve the entire hotel.”

“Done,” Vikram agreed. “Except for Mom and Pranitha, no one else will perform the rituals for Sana.”

As the trio finalized the arrangements, elsewhere, enemies plotted.

Priyanka called her boss. “What’s the plan for tomorrow?”

“Don’t worry. This time, we won’t fail,” he assured.

“You always say that,” she snapped. “Yet nothing happens.”

“Don’t provoke me. I know what I’m doing.”

“If this fails, we follow my plan,” she warned.

“That won’t be necessary. Bye.”
