Chapter 71

Aadhi and Rishi were in the kitchen and Rishi was cooking since Latha was admitted in the hospital after she met with an accident on her way back to home. Aadhi and Rishi rushed to the hospital and thanked god that the injury was minor. Rishi made all the arragements for her to rest and even informed Sudhir to manage the hospital expenses. Latha assured to return to work in a week and Rishi decided to stay home to take care of Aadhi until then.

Rishi was cooking and Aadhi was playing games in her mobile sitting on the island. Rishi’s mobile started ringing and she saw him scream and turned her attention to him completely. Once he cut the call he shook his head and continued his cooking. Aadhi got down from the island turned off the burner.

Aadhi: Rishu, what happened ? I know the call was from Sudhir so tell me what happened ?

Rishi: Its a issue from the customer and he was threatening to cut ties with us forever. He has threatened to sue our company and wanted compensation in return.

Aadhi: But why ?

Rishi: He is not ready to reveal the reason to Sudhir and wanted to meet me. Now stop worrying about him and I will handle him through court if that is his wish.

Aadhi: Rishu, how could you say this ? He is our customer and you should talk to him and fix the problem. It would spoil our reputation if the news spreads among other customers.

Rishi: I can’t leave you alone Aadhu so don’t bother, I m not leaving you.

Aadhu: Be serious Rishu, I m not a baby and I can stay alone for few hours for sure or lets leave together for office. I will work until you handle the customer.

Rishi: Aadhu… fine I will leave and be back as soon as possible but after you finish your breakfast and get in bed to rest.

Aadhi smiled and Rishi informed Sudhir that he would arrive office to handle the customer. He quickly made the breakfast and together they had and Rishi got ready to office while Aadhi sat on the bed, leaning on the headrest watching him.

Rishi: Aadhi, you will call me immediately if you don’t feel good. Nothing is important to me than you.

Aadhi: Alright daddddyyyyyy.

Rishi chuckled and crawled on the bed only to bite her cheek for her naughtiness. He quickly got ready and pecked her forehead and lips before he left home. Aadhi turned on the TV and started watching a series but not less than an hour she received a call from Yuvraj and with a smile answered him immediately.

Aadhi: Hello senior, how are you ? Did you call me to invite for your sister’s wedding ?

Yuvraj: Aadhi, there is something you need to know and its very important so can you come over to the address I will message you ? If your crushy baby is home please bring him too, now immediately, please.

Aadhi: Senior, what is that so important thing that you want to meet us ?

Yuvraj: Aadhi please, I will be waiting for you both. Make it quick.

Yuvraj cut the call and Aadhi bit her lips thinking over the situation. She was about to call Rishi but stopped knowing he might be busy with the customer. Her mobile pinged with a notification and she saw it was the address sent by Yuvraj.

Aadhi: God, what should I do now ? Rishi will sure be angry if I leave alone but Yuvraj will be there to take care if I don’t feel good. Let me go by cab and find what could be the important matter and later I will call Rishi to pick up me.

She got ready in a simple gown and left home in a cab. She arrived at the location and looked around for Yuvraj. She felt someone behind her and with smile turned around expecting it to be Yuvraj but saw a stranger smiling at her. She was about to back off but the man placed a cloth over her nose and Aadhi fell unconscious instantly.

By afternoon Rishi walked out of the meeting room and entered his room. He threw his blazer and raked his fingers through his hair. Sudhir walked of the customer and rushed to Rishi’s room immediately.

Rishi: Sudhir, how did he knew that we have agreed to work on 20% discount for the new customer ? This is definitley not possible unless someone had planned this against us. That bloody moron is not ready to reveal the culprit’s name, I mean why would he do that even.

Sudhir: This has never happened before so we couldn’t doubt anyone instantly.

Rishi: He isn’t ready to continue unless we agree upon the 20% discount.

Sudhir: What should we do now sir ?

Rishi: He absolutely lost his mind if he thought I would agree upon this. Send him a copy of the contract he signed with us, our clauses states clearly that anytime there won’t be a revise in the terms accepted between the two parties so even if wants to go to court then let him do. I hope my words would have knocked some sense in his brain still forward his details and demands to the legal team to be prepared if he turns to be a dumb.

Sudhir: I m sorry for disturbing you. If he had informed me the details then I would have tried to handle him but he wasn’t even ready to talk anyone except you.

Rishi: Thats ok, I will take my leave and how is Manjari doing around ?

Sudhir: She doesn’t speak much and only does her work. Even Finance head hasn’t reported any complaints recently.

Rishi hummed and picking his blazer. He walked out dialing Aadhi’s number but he frowned on hearing it switched off.

Rishi: It would be a wonder if Aadhu had switched off her mobile especially when I m away from her. What would be she doing without checking her mobile ?

He got in the car and drove home quickly. The security opened the gate immediately and Rishi rushed inside calling Aadhi. When he couldn’t find her in the ground floor he rushed to their bedroom but was surprised to see it empty. He quickly started searching for her all over the home and finally ran to the security.

Rishi: Where is Aadhi ?

Security: Sir, madam left in a cab in the morning, atleast an hour later after you left to office.

Rishi: She left in a cab and you didn’t find it important to let me know about it ?

Rishi called Malini and Chaitra to know if Aadhi met them but they denied having any conversation in the 24 hours. Rishi felt fear creep his mind and heart, he quickly called Kavitha to check if Aadhi visited them though he knew she wouldn’t do that without him.

Kavitha: Hello Rishi, what a surprise ? how are you and how is Aadhi ?

Rishi gulped on her question which confirmed Aadhi hadn’t visited her. Rishi managed to be normal and spoke to her with a smile.

Rishi: I m fine aunty, I just called to know if you and uncle have any plans on Sunday. Aadhi wanted to meet you both so I thought of checking on your plans.

Kavitha: We are always free for our children Rishi, please bring her and I will prepare all your foods. Vimal just left for office so I will call him too.

Rishi: Vimal was there ?

Kavitha: Yes, he drove this morning to visit me and left just now.

Rishi: Ok then I will meet you and uncle on Sunday.

Rishi cut the call and immediately got in his car leaving in search of Aadhi. He dialed Yuvarj’s number but his number was switched off, he called his grandpa to check if by any chance Aadhi spoke to him.

Grandpa: Hello grandson, how did my thoughts cross your mind ? Did Aadhi leave you alone to meet her friends or parents ?

Rishi stopped the car abruptly on hearing his words. He pinched the bridge of his nose as tears started brimming his eyes. He started driving and gulped before he spoke to his grandpa.

Rishi: I called you to know if Manjari is fine at home ? I m planning on visiting you all this weekend so wanted to make sure you have no other plans.

Grandpa: Nonsense, I m waiting for you both to visit me.

Rishi: Thank you and love you grandpa, I will call you later.

Rishi cut the call and hit his palm on the steering in frustration. He cursed and slapped himself for leaving her alone. He wiped his tears and dialed Vimal to seek his help. He parked his car aside and waited for Vimal to answer his call. Vimal parked his car in the parking of his office premises. He saw his mobile ringing and answered it with a smile.

Vimal: Hey man, how are you ?

Rishi: Vimal, I m close to your office, come out and I will pick you up.

Vimal: What happened Rishi ? Is Aadhi fine ?

Rishi: Vimal…. Vimal, please come out, I will be there in 2 minutes.

Rishi cut the call and drove to Vimal’s office. Vimal felt the air knocked out of his lungs on hearing the distress in Rishi’s voice. He removed his blazer and threw in his car before he rushed out of the premises. He saw Rishi’s car and soon as he stopped Vimal got in the passenger seat immediately. He saw tears in Rishi’s eyes and turned to him completely.

Rishi: Aadhi, is missing Vimal.

Vimal: What the fuck ? What do you mean by she is missing ?

Rishi explained everything happened and Vimal punched his fist on the dashboard.

Vimal: Drive to the malls she used to roam and lets look for her there ?

Rishi bobed his head and drove to the 3 malls which Aadhi used to roam around with Malini and Chaitra. Four hours thery were done searching every place Aadhi used to visit. Rishi stopped the car and getting down he banged his hand on the bonnet. He crouched down and sobbed as his body trembled scared of the danger she might be stuck in.

Vimal himself was broken but he pulled Rishi and pushed him in the passenger seat before he got in the driver seat.

Vimal: Rishi, lets report to the police and seek their help. Later lets go home and call some private ditectives and possibly some hackers to trace her mobile. We cannot delay any further.

Rishi agreed and wiped his face, he decided to stay strong for his Aadhu and was determined in finding her. They reached the commissioner’s offce and they were directed to his room immediately. Rishi explained about Aadhi missing and all the details that was asked for. Rishi gave Aadhi’s photo to the commissioner which was sent to all the police station to start the search mission immediately.

They were directed to a room accompanied by a police officer to trace Aadhi’s mobile. Vimal and Rishi stood behind the police officer who entered Aadhi’s mobile number to trace her location but after a few minutes the officer stood up shaking his head.

Inspector: SIr, your wife’s mobile is switched off and probably even the SIM card and battery has been removed from it. We could only know the last location it was ON.

Rishi: Please be clear and straight forward. Do you mean she is kidnapped ?

Inspector: Yes, let me call a team and search for her in the place where her mobile was switched off.

Rishi gulped now that everything was clear and Aadhi was kidnapped. His mind was going crazy and he mentally thought about everyone in his circle who could be possibly behind in Aadhi’s kidnap. They returned to the Commissioner’s room and the inspector gave him all the details.

Commissioner: Do you suspect anyone ?

Manjari was the first person on both Rishi and Vimal’s mind but they brushed it off since they thought that she would never do such thing especially that she has not done anything to Aadhi lately so they denied of any suspects.

Commissioner: Please stay strong Mr.Rishi, we will find her. Go back and do your part in searching for her and my team will sure find her.

Another officer entered the room and passed a report to the commissioner which he checked immediately and looked at Rishi and Vimal.

Commissioner: Her last call was from someone named Yuvraj and his mobile has been located in the same place. His mobile is switched off too.
