Chapter 72

The Commissioner who read the report in his hand looked at Rishi and Vimal and revealed that Aadhi’s last call was from Yuvraj and even his mobile was located at the same place and his mobile was switched off too. Both Vimal and Rishi were shocked on hearing the details.

Commissioner: Who is Yuvraj to your wife ? You know him ?

Rishi: Yes, he is her friend and I know him too. He truly cares for her and very trustable person.

Commissioner: Sir, we couldn’t say that unless we find out completely about him. Let inspector go to his home and see if he is available. If not we need to investigate further about him too.

Rishi gulped but he knew Yuvraj would never hurt Aadhi but he didn’t want to miss any lead that would help them save Aadhi so he agreed for the investigation. Vimal and Rishi got in the car and followed the inspector who drove in his jeep. They arrived at Yuvraj’s home and his sister Rithivika opened the door for them.

Rishi: Hi, I m Rishi, Aadhi’s husband, can I meet Yuvraj, its very urgent please.

Rithivika: He is not home, infact he hasn’t returned for the past 2 days. He said he was busy with something important.

Inspector stopped Rishi and he started with his investigation and got the details of his friends. Rishi and Vimal got in the car and followed the inspector to meet Yuvraj’s friends.

In an abandoned bungalow, Aadhi was lying on the floor, her hands and legs tied. She opened her eyes and saw the dim light of the room and few broken furnitures placed in the corner of the room. She slowly managed to sit and leaned on the wall still feeling drowsy from the effects of the chloroform. Tears rolled down her cheeks on knowing she has been trapped and she duck her head and looked at her abdomen and only prayed for her baby to be safe.

She closed her eyes and mumbled Rishi’s name as if he would come rushing to him as always and take her in his embrace. The door opened with a bang and a man who placed a cloth over her nose to abduct her entered inside with a smirk.

Man: Finally you are awake Mrs. Aadhira, how are you ?

Aadhi: Who are you, why did you kidnap me ? Please let me go

Man: I m Karan, Yuvraj’s friend and he is the one who wanted to kidnap you. My poor friend has been in love with you since he met you for the first time but here you are married and living happily while he is drowning in your memories.

Aadhi: No, you are lying, he is my best friend and he will never do such thing to me.

Karan: Not my problem if you don’t trust my words. Now I got food for you and I will set your hands free so be a good girl and have your food. You see, he doesn’t want your baby to suffer, isn’t he nice that he is ready to accept other man’s child ?

Aadhi was shocked on hearing his words and wondered how he knew about her pregnancy.

Aadhi: Stop spitting nonsense, Yuvraj will never do that, why are you doing this ?

Karan set her hand and legs free and placed a plate of food before her.

Karan: I will be nice to you but that doesn’t mean you will do anything to escape from here. Stop trying anything because this is an isolated bungalow far from your home. Even if you walk or run out of here, you will never see a vehicle or human being and it would be easy for me to catch you. Most important thing is, I don’t think you will risk your baby by escaping from here so you have 5 minutes to use the washroom and to have the food. I will tie you once again.

Aadhi: Let me go please, how long you will keep me trapped here ?

Karan: I need to talk to Yuvi about that so wait until tomorrow.

Aadhi moved the washroom which made her puke but she had no other option than using it. There was no window to the room for her to check the surroundings so she returned to the room and saw Karan pointing to the food.

Aadhi wanted to refuse but that would be very stupid to starve her baby so she picked the plate and started eating the food looking around for any way to escape but the only door was locked and Karan was standing against it waiting for her to complete the food. Once she was done he tied her hands and legs before he walked out locking the door.

Rishi, Vimal and the inspector entered Yuvraj’s friend home and enquired him about Yuvraj but he knew nothing about his whereabouts. Inspector slapped the guy and pushed him on the couch and held his collars.

Inspector: What is your friend’s relationship with Aadhira ?

Yuvraj’s friend: Sir, they are friends and nothing else. He cares a lot for her.

Once inspector slapped him and he hissed in pain. The inspector once again asked him the same question.

Yuvraj’s friend: Sir, actually he fell in love with her at first sight but after he knew she is married he let go of all his feelings and only saw her as a best friend. He even made sure that no one in the college troubled her until we were in the college. I swear, there is nothing between them, he is a very genuine person. He knows very well that Aadhi love her husband very much.

Inspector: If you ever to get to know about him, don’t forget to report to the police station immediately.

Rishi: Inspector, my cousin Shruthi, I suspect her. She once stayed at my home and tried to misbehave with me so me and my wife threw her out of our home. Yesterday my sister said that she is in Chennai.

Inspector: Give her photo and mobile number and we will chcek on her.

Inspector informed Rishi and Vimal to carry on with their work and he would call them on receiving any information about Aadhi. Rishi and Vimal got in the car and Vimal called both the families to Rishi’s home immediately. He drove the car to Rishi’s home and Rishi called Sudhir to his home immediately.

Just 30 minutes and everyone arrived at his home with a worry etched on their face. Manjari saw Vimal walk out of the kitchen with 2 cups and he passed one to Rishi but he denied it straight away.

Hari: Vimal, what are you doing here ? Why did you call us here so urgently ? Where is Aadhi ?

Vimal: Aadhi is kidnapped..

Everyone gasped at the shocking news and Hari, Kavitha broke down worried about their daughter.

Raghavan: What ? How and when ?

Vimal explained everything to them and saw the whole family drowning in pain. Sudhir entered the living and Rishi immediately turned his attention to him.

Rishi: Sudhir, Aadhi is kidnapped. Find the best ditectives in city, any efficient retired police officers. Also look for some hackers, call them here and let the hacker stay here and monitor if Aadhi’s mobile is switched on anytime.

Sudhir immediately entered Rishi’s study and started looking for the people Rishi asked for. Rishi stood not looking at anyone in particular but they knew his state. Rishi’s grandpa hugged him and pat his back.

Grandpa: I know you will be strong and bring back Aadhi safe to us. She will be fine..

Rishi closed his eyes and burst out crying which broke everyone’s heart. Raghavan and Vimal pulled him to sit on the couch and passed him water but Rishi refused anything.

Vimal: Rishi, you know Aadhi, she is a very brave girl and sure she would find some way to reach us even if she is held captive. We will find her, stay strong.

Rishi: She will not try anything, she will wait patiently and endure any pain until we find her. She won’t risk…she will not risk…

Hari: No Rishi, she will be safe, my daughter is strong.

Rishi: She is pregnant…

The entire room fell silent as if they heard wrong and looked at each other. All their faces confirmed they heard right. Vani and Kavitha crouched before him and touched his shoulder.

Rishi: She is pregnant and we planned to reveal to you all at the same time but the situation was not in favour. Both Vimal and Manjari were suffering so we decided to wait and we planned to reveal the news to you all this weekend. She is three and half months pregnant, she was feeling weak due to the morning sickness and that is the reason we worked from home.

Everyone shed tears knowing two lives are in danger and now they were sure Aadhi would not do something that might risk her baby’s life.

Rishi entered his study and Vimal followed him, before he could close the door he saw Raghavan and Hari trying to enter but he stopped them.

Vimal: I will handle him, you both should take care mom and aunty.

Vimal closed the door and saw Rishi throwing his tie and rolling the sleeves of his shirt. He stood by the window completely lost in thoughts. A few minutes later he turned around and saw Sudhir still on his work and informed him to message the address of the customer he met in office in the morning and walked out pulling Vimal with him.

Vimal: Where are we going Rishi ?

Rishi did not speak a word but got in the driver seat and drove off like a mad man.

Vimal: Rishi, say something..

Rishi: There was a problem in my office today and if that had not happened I would have stayed home. When I was at office to meet that customer, the problem he reported was so silly that even a school or college student would have felt it stupid. I didn’t care at that time but thinking of it right now what if that was also a trap to get me out of home ?

Vimal: I will call the inspector for support.

Rishi forwarded the message to Vimal and he drove as fast as he can to reach the customer’s residence. The road was desserted since it was already midnight but both Vimal and Rishi cared less and they were only intended on finding Aadhi safe and sound.

He parked the car and informed the security to open the gate but on seeing Rishi’s rage he refused and was about to lock the gate but Rishi kicked the gate open stormed in with Vimal who punched the security. They banged on the door and Rishi picked a iron rod that lay in the garden to break the lock but the door opened and the customer stood shocked on seeing Rishi at his home.

Customer: Mr. Rishi, is this a time to talk business ? I will meet you at your office in the morning.

Rishi: Fuck your business bastard..

Before the customer could speak something Rishi pushed him against the wall and punched him square on the his face.

Rishi: Why did you create a chaos all of a sudden today and who gave you the information about my new customers ?

Customer: Rishi, what are you doing ? I will file complaint against you for doing this to me.

Rishi: I will kill you for working for helping the bastad or bitch in kidnapping my wife. I will ruin you..

Both the customer and Vimal were scared on seeing Rishi’s rage and he was hardly holding back from killing at the man in his hold.

Customer: I did not do anything, I got a message from an unknown number about the details of your new customer.

Inspector arrived right in time and Vimal explained everything to him. The customer picked his mobile and showed the message to Rishi and the Inspector.

Inspector: I will check the details and try to track the person who sent this message.

Inspector left from there and Vimal called his PA who arrived an hour later with few men.

Vimal: Rishi, let these men stay here until we hear from inspector.

Rishi warned the customer and threatened him before he returned home with Vimal but he was still thinking over a way to find Aadhi.

Rishi Mv: Aadhu, baby… where are you ? Wherever you are please be strong love, I will find you. I love you Aadhu.
