Chapter 97

Two months passed by and Vimal and Chaitra were on their way to for Chaitra’s monthly checkup. She was leaning over his shoulder and he was holding her hand as he drove in with one hand.  Since the day they met the doctor after their return from Greece, Vimal never let Chaitra alone nor he let do any work. He strictly followed the doctor’s words and never let her carry any weight and stairs were strictly banned for her.

He cared for her but he was more cautious thats what Chaitra felt from his behaviour. They worked from home and visited once or twice a week. They haven’t visited their parents and rather they would visit Chaitra on weekends. He would make sure to check the floors of the rooms and bathroom before he let her get down from the bed.

Once he tried to stop her from carrying Ridha when Aadhi and Rishi visited them but Chaitra glared at him that stopped him immediately. She enjoyed the care and love from him but she felt bad on knowing his fear that the history might repeat and he might lose the baby once again. Being aware of his vulnerable state she couldn’t stop him doing anything that gave peace to his heart that their baby would be fine.

She wanted to go out for dinner, do shopping, watch movies, meet her friends, parents but she wasn’t willing to see him walk around holding his heart in his hands so she gave up the idea of leaving home or doing anything that would upset and scare Vimal.

They would make out, kiss, cuddle, shower together but they never made love or Vimal wasn’t ready for that.

He cooked all her meals by himself, he made sure she had fresh juice, he even got her favourite chats and snacks though they were in limited quantity. He would press her legs, kiss her abdomen, talk to their baby. He never let her walk without holding his hand and in simple he took care of Chaitra like she was a glass doll.

Vimal parked the car at the hospital parking and holding her hand they entered the doctor’s cabin. Doctor checked the vitals of Chaitra and even few test were carried out to make sure the baby was doing fine. Finally Chaitra was called to lay on the gurney for her first ultrasound scan. Even before Chaitra could attempt to sit over the gurney, Vimal carried her and laid her over it. He scrunched her top and holding her hand he kissed her knuckles with a smile.

The couple watched the doctor move the device over her abdomen and look at the screen. More than looking at their baby on the screen Chaitra was looking at Vimal who looked so nervous and she knew he was curious to hear the well being of the baby. When the doctor never spoke for a few minutes she watched his patience wearing thin.

Vimal: Doctor, is everything ok ? Is our baby fine ? Nothing to worry right ?

Chaitra squeezed his palm to comfort him when she felt his palm turning out cold and sweat appear on his forehead despite being in the AC room.

Doctor: Ofcourse Mr. Vimal, your baby is fine. I m just looking at something that would double your happiness. I see 2 sacs Mr. & Mrs. Vimal which means you are having twins.

Vimal shut his eyes for a fleeting moment and a drop of tear fell over her bare abdomen. His chest heaved a little and she saw him trying to calm his mind and his lips curved into a smile.

Vimal: Thank you Ira… thank you so much.. I love you ..

Doctor smiled on hearing his words and moved back to her seat. Vimal cleaned Chaitra’s abdomen and carried her back to the seat.

Doctor: Everything is fine, continue with the tablets and lets meet next month.

Chaitra: Doctor, is it safe to have sex during pregnancy.

Doctor: Ofcourse it would be safe unless you aren’t too violent.

Vimal: what if baby gets hurt, especially when we are having twins ?

Doctor: you just need to be gentle Mr. Vimal.

Chaitra rose to her feet to leave the room and Vimal immediately held her hand. He kissed her temple and they walked out the room. He immediately hugged her and kissed her forehead.

Vimal: I love you Ira… thank you for giving me all the happiness.. actually double happiness. I never thought we would be having twins. Thank you baby girl.

Chaitra smiled at him and they walked back to the car. Vimal stopped the car by a five star hotel and walked in holding her hand. He pulled out a chair for before he sat next to her.

Vimal: Ira, why do you look upset baby girl ? Is something bothering you ?

Chaitra: nothing Vimal, I m very happy and I could see you are over the moon.

Vimal: Ofcourse baby and you are the reason.

They ordered lunch and he fed her with love which melted her heart. She rose to her feet to use the washroom but hit her leg on the chair that was next to her. On seeing that Vimal stood startled and pulled her to his embrace.

Vimal: Why did you get up Ira ? I would have carried you to the washroom baby.

He crouched to chek if she had any injury and Chaitra saw his hands trembling in fear. A lone tear escaped her eye on seeing him so vulnerable.

Vimal called the manager and booked a room immediately for them. He carried her to the room and to the washroom himself. He checked the floor and kissed her forehead before walking out giving her space.

When Chaitra walked out he stood leaning on the wall and kissed her cheek immediately.

Chaitra: Why did you book a room honey bear ? Our home is just 25 minutes away from here.

Vimal: No Ira.. you wanted to use the washroom and I m not sure how the common one in the dining area is maintained and more over you just got your leg hit so lets rest for a while before returning home.

Chaitra: I don’t feel good here so lets go home. You shouldn’t have booked a room.

Vimal: I m sorry baby, lets go home. Please don’t be upset, I hate to see you like this. Aren’t you happy Ira ?

Chaitra immediately hugged him placing her cheek over his chest and Vimal wrapped his arm around her kissing her crown.

Chaitra: I love you so much honey bear, I m very happy and can’t wait to see our babies in our arms.

Chaitra Mv: I can’t wait for the day to deliver our babies and I don’t have to watch you living in fear.  I want to see you happy rather than being cautious all the time.

She raised her head and smiled at him and pinched his nose. Vimal sighed in relief and they walked out of the room and reached home in next 25 minutes. As soon as they enetred the room Chaitra pulled him and started kissing him gently. Vimal held her nape and kissed her back with the same intensity. She held his hand and placed his palm over her bosom.

Chaitra: Make love to me Vimal, we never made love since we found that I m pregnant and I m craving for you. My hormones are always high and I need you badly. Didn’t you hear the doctor ? She said we could do it the most gentle way. I want us to feel each other .. only you and me… love me honey bear.

Vimal stopped kissing and looked at her. Gone was the naughty and sassy Chaitra, she looked so delicate, calm and composed.

Vimal: Ira, did I do something that hurt you ? Please tell me baby, I will correct myself and do anything for you. Your happiness matter the most to me and I would go to any extent for my Ira.

Chaitra: You did nothing. I just want to feel you honey, give me yourself.

Vimal stopped her talking by kissing her and he carried her to the bed. Very gently he started discarding her clothes and Chaitra moaned feeling his lips on her bare skin. He took his time to kiss every part of her body and Chaitra’s chest heaved when he saw her ready to take her.

Vimal: Tell me if it hurts ok Ira ?

Chaitra nodded her head impatiently and bit her lips feeling the pain since they haven’t done the deed for a long time. Vimal was never force, he made gentle thurst kissing her body, he gave hickeys and held her waist while he made slow thrust inside her.

He touched his palm on her abdomen to make sure he wasn’t being hard with her. He stilled on seeing a lone tear escape her eyes and immediately pulled out of her and laid next to her pulling her to his chest.

Vimal: Hey, I m so sorry baby girl.. I m so sorry, deos it hurt too much ? God, how could I be a stupid ? Love, you are scaring me, please tell me what happened.

Chaitra: You don’t love me anymore Vimal, you only love your babies.

Vimal froze on her words and looked at her cupping her cheeks.

Vimal: Nonsense, where does this come from ? you know, I m madly and senselessly love in with you. You are my world Ira, how could you say this ?

Chaitra: You only care for the babies and you are not happy about our pregnancy, you are only scared about it. I only see a constant fear in your eyes. I love all the attention from you, the care from you but I see more of your fear that stops me enjoying your attention, love and care.

Vimal: I m.. .I m… sorry Ira.. I never thought you would be feeling this way. I was only worried.

Chaitra: You were only worried for the babies.

Vimal: Shut up.. just shut up Ira..not a word. how could you say this ? Ofcourse I m worried for our babies because I m not ready for another loss nor I could survive it but more than that I was worried about us Ira. I was fucking worried about us, I was scared that I might lose you.

Chaitra was shocked on his words and getting down from the bed Vimal wore his pant and sat on the bed holing his head, tears brimmed in his eyes. Chaitra sat next to him wearing his shirt and leaned on his shoulder.

Vimal: I was scared that I might lose you if something happened to the baby.

Chaitra remembered that his relationship with Manjari started falling apart the moment they lost the baby and cursed herself for not realizing him.

Vimal: Its not like I don’t love our babies, I love with all my life and heart and we could have as many babies in future too but you are my only love, my only hope that I rely on for the rest of my life. I don’t want to lose you at the cost of anything. I m ready to be heart broken any number of times because I know you will pull me out of it but I can never survive the heart break of losing you in my life. You are my strength as well as weakness Ira. I want our babies and you in my life safe forever but seems like I hurt you in the process of caring. I m sorry love, please forgive me, I will change myself, I won’t trouble you anymore. I will get back to business as usual and I won’t stop you from doing anything.

Chaitra: I m so sorry honey bear, please forgive me. I m sorry that I failed this time. I thought you never trusted me with our babies but I swear I will never disappoint you.

Vimal placed his finger on her lips and shook his head.

Vimal: You are not and will never be my disappointment Ira… I trust you Ira and I mean it. The words trust weighs more than the word love cause there would never be a love without trust. Its my fault that I didn’t open up to you.

Chaitra: Or I could have just pulled your ear to know the reason rather being the usual wife from the soap dramas. But don’t worry, I will not let our life be ruined by anyone not even ourselves. Am I right honey bear ?

Vimal: Anything you say my love.

Chaitra: Come on honey, we are not usual couple to sit over and cry all day, that definitely doesn’t suit us. We are special, our love is special and every day of our life should be special. Now how about we start what we stopped ? you know I missed all the intense love making, I want to see my charming husband dominating me, I missed you calling me baby girl when you are inside me and your eyes fixed on me.

Vimal cupped her cheeks in palms and caught her lips in a searing kiss while she slowly laid back on the bed pulling him all along.

Vimal pulled back from the kiss only to rip the shirt and Chaitra winked at him placing her foot on his chest. Vimal kissed her toes and leaning closer he kissed her abdomen.

Vimal: Rest for a while babies, daddy needs to teach a lesson to mommy.

Vimal smirked on seeing her bite her lips and crouched with her legs over his shoulder and buried his face between her thighs. The next couple of hours he made love to her and all he heard was her scream his name. The room filled with their moans and he took care of care once they were done with all the love making.
