The morning rays of the sun peeped into the room to hit the beautiful face of the chubby malini who was sleeping still. Th clock struck 10 and she could not get over her sleep. Not to blame her, the K Drama she watched last night ended only in the early morning.
As the sun hit her lovely face she pulled the comforter over her head to continue her sleep. The family in the ground floor was busy when the door bell rang. Krishnan, Malini’s father was busy lost in the business papers while Sujatha her mother was arranging breakfast.

Krishnan walked to the door and opened it to see the 5.11 man dressed in a green shirt and black jean leaning on the wall beside the door.

Sujatha: Raghav vaa da. ( Raghav come on boy )
Raghav: Varen maa. Yenna pa morning routine ah? ( Coming maa. What is appa, your daily routine is it ?)

Raghav: Good morning maa. Enna ellam ready ah? ( Is everything ready ?)

Raghav hurried to Malini’s room and saw her sleeping with the comforter over her head.

Malini: Raghav vandhutiya. Konja neram pa please. (Raghav you are here ? Few more minutes please)
Raghav: Maa evlo mukkiyamana vela irukku nee ennada naa innum thoongura. Ellarum ready ayitanga marriage ku dress edukka ponum la. Seekiram ready agu vaa enthiri.
( Dear, how important work we have but you are still sleeping. Everyone is ready to buy to go shopping for wedding dress. Get up and get ready )
She pulled the comforter and stood up stretching her hands.
Malini: Seri enakku dress select pannu. I will bath by the time. ( ok, choose a dress for me )
Raghav: Seri dress select pannitu naa keela poren. Get ready and come soon. (I will go downstairs after choosing a dress for you )
Sujatha: Ok pa
She went to the bath room while Raghav selected a dress for her and left downstairs.
Sujatha: Enna da eluchitala ? ( What. did she wake up ?)
Raghav: Kulikra maa. Vandhuduva. ( She is bathing maa. She will be here)
Sujatha: Seri ava varattum nee sapda vaa ( ok, let her come but you come have breakfast)

Sujatha, Keerthy and Krishnan started to have breakfast and Raghav took the TV remote and settled to watch the cricket highlights. Malini came down in a green and black kurti.
Malini: Good morning everybody.
Keerthy: Ivanga tholla thanga mudiyala. Yen rendu perum twinning ah dha varuvingala. ( I can’t bear their torture. You both will come only twinning is it ?)

Keerthy: Naanga ready agurom. ( We will get ready)
Raghav: Seri pa. ( ok paa)
Malini and Raghav sat for breakfast. Malini served him hot idly and sambar. They finished breakfast and came to living where all others were waiting.
Keerthy: Raghav amma , appa lam kelambitangala kelu. ( Raghav check if mom and dad has started )
Raghav: Seri pa. ( ok paa)
Raghav called his amma to confirm if they started.

Keerthy: appo vaanga nammalum polam. ( good then lets leave too )
Raghav: Neenga car la vaanga. Nanum Maliniyum bike la varom. ( you all come by car. me and Malini will come by bike)
Sujatha: Seri seekiram vaanga. Yengayavadu ice cream parlour halt pannadhinga. ( ok come fast. don’t halt anywhere for icecream)
Raghav: Illa ma vandhuduvom. ( No maa, we will come)
Malini: Hey Raghav appo ice cream? ( Hey Raghav, what about ice cream ?)
Raghav: Purchase mudichitu polam ( We will go after shopping )
Malini: Seri ok.
Krishnan, Sujatha and Keerthy got in the car and drove off. Raghav wore his coolers and started his royal enfield and Malini hopped at his back holding his shoulders.
Raghav: Polama? ( shall we go ?)
Malini: hmm right right.( yes)
Raghav: Seri enna color select panna pora? ( What color will you choose ?)
Malini: Nee sollu enna pannalam ? ( you tell me. what should we choose ?)

Soon they reached the shop where their parents already waiting.
Lakshmikanthan and Devaki arrived early with Ajay.

Everybody went inside and first they decided to buy saree for the bride. The salesman showed them many sarees of different colors. Ladies were looking each saree and the salesgirl helped them by folding the saree to shoulder and they looked at the mirror.
Sujatha and Devaki selected their saree and helped Keerthy and Malini to select their saree.
Malini: Enakku Raghav pannuvan neenga Keerthy ku help pannunga. ( Raghav will do the selection for me so you all do for Keerthy alone)
She pulled Raghav and asked him to select her saree. The salesgirl put the sarees one by one on Malini’s shoulder but Raghav rejected all. Meanwhile Keerthy finished selecting her saree. The rest of the family was sitting and watching the duo as they were busy in selecting the saree. The salesman was grumpy as he had already piled up the sarees on the table.
Sujatha lost patience and stomped towards them.
Sujatha: Yennada panringa rendu perum? ( What are you both doing ?)
Raghav: Maa yedhuvum nalla illa ma ( Maa, nothing is good )

Raghav: Seri maa seekiram select panniduren wait pannunga. ( ok maa, we will select quickly. Wait please)
Sujatha: Dey Kalyana ponnu Keerthy avale fast ah select pannita. Innum Ajay ku dress select pannanum vera.
( hey bride has completed her selection so fast. We have to choose for Ajay too)
Raghav: SEri appo neenga Ajay ku select pannunga adhukulla naanga varom. ( ok then you all go choose dress for Ajay and by the time we will join you)
Sujatha: Unga aluchatiyam thanga mudila vara vara. ( we couldn’t stand your troubles these days)
Sujatha took all others to select dress for Ajay leaving Raghav and Malini.
Raghav was busy picking a saree when Malini suddenly pulled him.
Raghav: Enna ma? ( What dear ?)
Malini: Raghav andha ponnu paaren romba azhaga irukka. Ok va paaru naa poi pesi details vaanguren. Pakka homely ah irukka. Enna solra?

Malini’s mobile rang disturbing their conversation.

Raghav: Malini indha purple saree paaru nalla irukku. ( Malini, look at this purple saree. Its very nice)
Malini: hmm ok appo idhaye edukkalam. ( ok then we will choose it )
They selected the saree and joined others who were selecting suit for Ajay.
Ajay: Ennada mudichitingala? ( are you guys done ?)
Malini: Select pannitom Mama ( We have selected maa)
Ajay: Seri un akka yen oru mathiri irukka? ( Why is your sister behaving weird?)
Raghav: Adhu nee dhan da kekkanum. Engala ketta ( that you should be asking her. Why do you ask us?)

Malini pulled away Raghava to select suit for him. Ajay called Keerthy to select his dress.
Ajay: Keerthy idhu nalla irukka paaru? ( Keerthy, look this is very nice )
Keerthy: Unakku edhu pottalum nalla iukkum Ajay. ( You will look good in anything Ajay)
Ajay: Yeh ippadi sonna eppadi. Select pannu. ( Hey, yo can’t say that. Select for me)
Keerthy was selecting a shirt for him.
Ajay: Keerthy yen ou mathiri irukka? ( Keerthy why are you behaving weird?)
Keerthy: Appadiyellam onnum illa Ajay. Indha shirt trial paaru. ( Nothing like that Ajay. Trial this shirt )
Ajay liked the shirt Keerthy selected and finished with Keerthy’s choice.
Malini and Raghav were busy as she put the shirts one by one on his front to check if it suits him. After so many choices she finally selected a puple shirt and waist coat and matching pants.
Sujatha: Raghav malini ku reception dress select pannitingala? ( Raghav have you selected a dress for reception for Malini?)
Raghav: Illa ma adhu sunday kootitu poi vanguren. Keerthy ku vaangitingala? ( No maa, I will take her sunday to buy it. Have you got for Keerthy ?)
Sujatha: Hmm Vangiyachu da. Unakkum morning marriage ku silk shirt apram veshti vaangitom. ( yes, we got for her. We have got silk shirt and dhoti for you to wear for the wedding)
Raghav: Seri ma ( ok maa)
Malini: Raghav shoes pudhusa vaangidu pa. ( Raghav but new shoes for you )
Raghav: Seri ma ( ok )
Malini: Apram ethana naal leave apply panni irukka? ( how many days have you applied for leave ?)
Raghav: marriage ku one week. ( One week for marriage)
Malini: Super.
Raghav: Seri nee Vineet invite pannitiya?( Did you invite vineet ?)
Malini: Veetla yarunu ketta enna solradhu?( What should I say at home ?)
Raghav: Yennoda friend solren. ( I will tell that he is my friend )

Everybody finished selecting their dresses and next went to the jewelry shop to buy the jewels and nuptial chain.
Malini: Namakku vela illa vaa couch okkaralam. Keerthyum Mamavum select pannatum ( There is no work for us so come lets get seated in the couch. Let Keerthy and brother in law do the selection)
Raghav: Seri vaa. Unakku engagement ring and wedding jewels eppadi irukanum nu aasa? ( ok come and now tell me how do you wish your engagement ring and wedding jewels be like ?)
Malini: Enakku couple ring. Just plain without design but enga names mattum crave panni irukanum. Wedding jewels lam simple ah than irukkanum Avlodhan. Unakku? ( I want couple rings. Just plain without design but our names should be carved on it. Wedding jewels can be simple. Thats it. What about you ?)

Malini: Keerthy, Mama marriage la unakku oru ponna eppadiyachum select panrom. ( We will somehow find a girl for you in Keerthy and brother in law’s wedding )

They hified to the plan and sat watching their siblings selecting their wedding jewels.
